So one night of going to A to check on her when she was crying has spawned a monster. She screamed from 3.30am to almost 5 this morning. Nothing wrong with her, I checked. Mammy standing in the room = no noise. Mammy walking out again = huge tantrum. I completely lost it. Oh dear. I find it hard to be reasonable at that hour. Eventually forced myself to calm down and had a word with her. Said it was time to go to sleep and that I wasn't coming back in until the morning. Sort of worked. The screaming wasn't as ferocious, but that could have been because she'd worn herself out.

The Boy didn't wake til 7. Could have been having a great sleep. Better luck tonight.

I think she gets angry when she wakes up and can't get back to sleep, though I'm not sure. And what she thinks I can do about it, I don't know, because she only goes to sleep alone anyway. If you sit in the room, she keeps herself awake. I dunno. I might take her for some more cranial osteopathy. I remember the osteopath saying that teething and similar can put sensitive kids out.

I don't know when she got to be such a bad sleeper. It's crept up on us.

TYG am exhausted just reading your posts well done. Glad all is well.

ELKI there is a little sadist in me wanting to let DP go to the NCT sale on his own with A. MWAHAHAHA

DP is upstairs making A's big boy bed which arrived at the ungodly 7.30am! I am then going to yoga and letting him do the first nap time I wonder how many times A will get out of bed and I wonder how long it will take DP to lose his temper.

Have a good wkend all.

AprilMeadow · 11/10/2008 09:56

Blimey TYG you must get a medal for longest post ever

Sorry to hear that A is having trouble sleeping, but thank goodness that O is sleeping well, couldnt cope with 2 being up and screaming!

JAM have fun at Yoga.. Bet you would like to be a fly on the wall to see how J gets on with the sleeps. We are going to get E into a bed before Xmas.

Have had a productive week, managed to get lots done around the house. Men in to put tv's on walls etc \9even in J's room! Spent some of yesterday and this morning sorting out the million toys the kids have in the playroom. They have been sorted into boxes, Trains, Cars, Baby Toys, Playsets etc with little pictures and a description of whats in each box. Even managed to throw some bits out (3 carrier bags full) without them noticing

MKG · 11/10/2008 14:21

TYG--I'm glad you are still in the land of the living. Sounds like you have had your hands full, but managing.

Well only a week and a half to go before my 20 weeks scan, and I am not too sure if I want to know the flavor. They have put money on it at work, and I want to make them wait a little while longer.

AprilMeadow · 11/10/2008 19:28

I think THAT bug has headed over to Meadow Towers Ella has been sick twice in the space of an hour - am clinging on to it being down to the sausage we had when out in town today. Made sure i stripped her bed down and put towels under her sheet just in case. I feel a bit bleurgh but i think its just tiredness as both of them have been whinging all afternoon.

We have some friends over for dinner tonight so fingers crossed it was a one off vom session.

MmeJaffaB · 11/10/2008 19:34

The Biffa is Back thanks to AM..... We love you April!!!!!!

yumm yumm, chomp chomp,

Off to Ireland tomorow. OMG I'm soooooo excited. I'm going to meet Watsthestory in RL. Aghhhhhhhh I'm secretly scared too. She has a fab few days lined up for us though bless her.

Haven't caught up will try to when I get back but did see that TYG was in. Lots of love to you.

Cheers again AM.

AprilMeadow · 11/10/2008 19:48

Am so pleased it arrived before you left otherwise A could have denied all knowledge of it arriving!

Have a fab time in Ireland xx

AprilMeadow · 12/10/2008 08:51

Yup, definately some sort of bug here. Poor little might was sick 4 times in 5 hours. Am just grateful that she hardly ate anything yesterday as it meant there wasnt anything in her tummy to get rid of. Fingers crossed that was it and the rest of us dont come down with it.

Safe journey MrsJB x

TYG!!!!!!!!! Farcking norah about time too

You do sound busy but under control, that is the way to keep it. It is not being cruel anyway, kids like boundaries and feel safe with routine. I did the same thing with B the other night, went in to him at 3 and got him some water. OOOOOOH BIG mistake, he has pretty much woken every night at the same time since, i ignore him mostly but get annoyed and go in. I lie him down telling him "Thats it, time for sleepies see you in the morning" and leave. DH squirms next to me asking what is wrong with him a million times. "I dont fecking know" is the reply!

Bronchiolitis is not good, the twins had it just as they came out of hospital and both were very poorly. One went back on the ventilator for 5 days and the other under his O2 bubble. Jonah got it too when he was 4 months old and was in hospital for the week right before Xmas, joy. I am actually scared of it Very bad memories. I am so glad that O was ok and fed well eventually.

I am being the braxton hicks queen atm, i am so fed up! How can i do another 13 weeks of this? DH asked if he had to sign anything last night (incase i go in for a section) as i want to be sterilised if i do. He said he would say i am not in my right mind and disagree!!!!! He wants another few after this i think. My horror struck face was a picture.

The wedding was fab! The kids were great, we were stared at quite alot. Home at 9ish with very tired kids Ilove the dress but norks kept trying to escape

AM hope the bug has not spread!

Jaffa have a fabulous time

Jam i would go to, i am also a bit nuts.

When are people coming to see me? I need tea and cake. TYG, Scoot, AM, CM? Will invite COD so you can see how lovely she really is.

AprilMeadow · 12/10/2008 15:15

Phew i think it was just something she ate as she is full of beans today.

LG&BM I can offer you next Friday pm me with kids, or Tues 21st w/out kids, or the following fri pm again with kids..... are these any good?

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/10/2008 17:25

How about next Easter?

AprilMeadow · 12/10/2008 18:13

Well of course we will be free then!

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/10/2008 19:43

TYG at your post(s)! You sound very together. I am not sure what being a wiccan entails, though it sounds kind of exciting, am I too old to be one?

at the thought of having norks to fall out of dresses.

April, glad that Ella is not vomming anymore. Does dh find all that kind of business quite difficult to deal with? And what exactly did you do to MrsJaffaslim?

My visitors are so demanding. And by george (can that be the week's phrase?) they eat a lot.

JamInMyWellies · 12/10/2008 20:25

The monster loves his bed hurrah! Not tried it with the duvet yet am still putting him in his sleeping bag.

MrsJB yoohoo have fun in the Emerald Isle.

AM really glad Ella is ok.

LG&T with you on the norks I dont normally have any and this pregnancy they have gone wild. I went to get the papers this morning and the newsagent told me to put my boobs away good job she is a mate.

twelveyeargap · 12/10/2008 21:38

Poooor Ellameadow. And poor Mummy Meadow having to clean it up. Yeuch.

Wicca is a sort of modern mish-mash of old pagan rituals. It's completely harmless. They believe in a sort of mother nature Goddess, I think. No, you're not too old to be one. I'm sure S would gladly admit you to her coven.

at more kids LG&T. (Not in the near future anyway!) N is the one not in his right mind! Do you really want to be sterilised though? What about a semi-permanent measure like a coil/ IUD for a few years? You're so young, do you really want to risk a big op and a higher chance of needing a hysterectomy?

at MrsJaffa going to Ireland.

OP posts:
AprilMeadow · 13/10/2008 08:05

I can deal with sick no problem which is good because dh is not so good.

Definately somehting she ate as 10pm friday was the last time and all of yesterday she was fine. I wondered if it was something she ate or the fact that her gums are so sore that maybe the pain made her sick (dont know if thats possible or not..)

I sent the Jaffa family a parcel filled with curly wurlys, choc buttons and a few other cadbury's items. They cant get cadburys there so every now and again i send a little survival pack

largeginandbloodymary · 13/10/2008 08:08

Glad Ella is ok, i hate sick. The smell!!! Will check the Gin diary for dates, we have quite a manic 2 weeks ahead. The half term looks quiet though and NO KIDS well only B anyway.

Jam my norks are ridiculous, i cannot contain them. DH is furious as he can do nothing as we are on a sex ban now till 34 weeks by order of consultant Useless wasted norks

Master your guests sound fun are they helping? I hope so. Do you get a constant stream now you are in a far flung place? Anything you need sending over for Xmas?

TYG i have had the magic Mirena coil fitted before and i bled for 6 months and had to have it taken out. I am going to have a hysterectomy anyway once this next baby is older and i have sat on the feckin wating list for a few years i expect. My periods are un managable and need to be stopped. My mum latsted till she was 34 just after having my sister who arrives despite being sterilised (yes we are a fertile bunch ) Tbh if they gave me a hysterctomy on the spot i would be pleased but they wont unless a dire emergency arises. They do this womb abalation thing now so may avoid the need for full womb removal. Hysterctomy is quite a bugger to get over.

I am final on the matter, dh soon come round

AprilMeadow · 13/10/2008 08:45

Half term week is fine by me. We could have a quiet one on the Tuesday and i could come on my own.... or the Thursday pm would be cool. Have the JaffaBiffas coming on the Friday for a mini visit (need to polish her name plaque and put it on the door)

AprilMeadow · 13/10/2008 08:48

Was very chuffed that mine got to a DD with ds and then back to a C afterwards (started off with a B) then with dd they went to an E which was madness. I had hoped that they would return to a C, which they did until recently where they are back to pre-child size. Am gutted as i had bought lots of nice bras and now they just look silly

Themasterandmargaritas · 13/10/2008 11:52

Oooo I could be a White Witch! Tell S I am up for it. Did she convert any --bible- bashers friends this weekend?

at N wanting more children, is he blind and deaf??? We know how fertile you are, it does rather sound like sterilisation is the only option, what a shame.

charleymouse · 13/10/2008 12:05

Morning all, I am not here I am cleaning and tidying this morning honest. Will be back to catch up when have done some chores. I am now better and G is also just not allowed at nursery until tomorrow, so have to take today as holiday.
Glad to hear most of us are well at the moment.
I have so much washing to do it is untrue. S&D can do that to your washing mountain basket can't it .

largeginandbloodymary · 13/10/2008 12:12

I am a white witch and i can see auras. I dont tell people that very often, dh is intrigued and constantly asks for athe colours of various people. My mother is a true white witch and tbh a bit scary with it.

She finds four leaf clovers for all the children before they are born and panics until she has done so. She always knows i am pregnant before i do and her and my auntie have been on the phone before several times with dreams they have had... all true. Bunch of freaks we are.

Now i AM pissed of today, the lovely Cod has been outed and abused. For fucks sake why do people do it?

CM glad you are feeling better

Master do you need supplies then?

AM half term sounds fab, i will have B so bring the kids.

ShowOfHands · 13/10/2008 12:21

Just returned to see the Cod debacle. Crap. Poor fish. Bloody scary too.

What colour am I then gin? Patchwork I hope...

largeginandbloodymary · 13/10/2008 12:24

I cant see them all the time and some peoples i have never seen. They do change but mostly just in shade.

I have not seen yours before. Tilda was orange though.

Poor fish indeed.
