Scoot that is my kind of parenting > Can you have a word with your parents? Leave the hoover out maybe?

Benson that is no excuse, crack on my lovely. Things always work their way out in the end. Can you see yourself regretting not having a bigger family in a few years? Would you regret it once the baby was here?

Arg the boy is crying for bed but it is the playschool run in half hour, not worth putting him to bed.

Bensonbluebird · 02/10/2008 12:21

I know I Know LG&Ts, but you are superwoman and I am a wimp.

Bensonbluebird · 02/10/2008 12:22

I know I know LG&T, but you are superwoman and I am a wimp.

Bensonbluebird · 02/10/2008 12:22

oops

charleymouse · 02/10/2008 12:33

Sorry Benson my mistake it is BefnalBub isn't it that is expecting. Sorry my addled brain is not what it once was you know.

Where is Creena as well?

We need a new rollcall and you slackers (CM thinks of glasshouses and bricks) can get back on track.

LG&T yes think it may be to soon, the problem I believe is his as well so it may have been inappropriate. I just want to be able to help and stop them hurting and I can't. It was prob also upsetting as I pointed out I make beautiful babies but they are not always perfect so if they made one I would carry it. I just feel so helpless for them. She has texted this am and said she is just upset and hormonal and it was not me.

AbbyLou · 02/10/2008 17:53

CM, the answer to your question is yes.
I'm so shattered I barely seem able to function in the evenings.
We has R's naming Day on Sunday which was lovely. We had so many lovely comments from people who haven't been to one before and she got some beautiful pressies.
Sorry I haven't the time to read the whole thread. Hope everyone is alright and I'll try and get back on again soon.

charleymouse · 02/10/2008 21:41

Soon be half term Abby just count the days glad the day went well.

ShowOfHands · 02/10/2008 22:27

I'm thinking about shaving my head.

MKG · 02/10/2008 23:46

Hi, I'm catching up as life has been crazy over these past few days. I don't have anything interesting other than that my family now knows I'm pregnant again and are not taking it well. They think I'm crazy for having a third and having three so close together, but I think I'll send them to LG&T's house to see how crazy life really can be, and that I have it easy in comparison.

MmeJaffaB · 03/10/2008 08:21

TMAM, I bath the kids when I have time here, normally about once every 3 weeks. Maddie was in the bath with J and was NOT impressed at the pooh.

lg&t, Hope you are feeling better.

SOH, buy a new hat.

AM, hope you have had an uneventful trip back.

CM, your friend will be OK, was probably a bit soon, but she knows you just want to take their pain away. Keep going on the declutter, try to do one drawer or shelf every couple of days.

to everyone else,

We have a fairly busy weekend so may noy be around much until next week. have fun all. x

10k to do! I've done 100k in a week, saddle sore?..... what's that?

AprilMeadow · 03/10/2008 09:08

Morning

Back home safe and sound thankfully.

Kids are in nursery and i am starting the horrid task of holiday washing

OOh go on SOH, would love to see what it would look like

Will have another skim of the thread to see what i have missed

MmeJaffaB · 03/10/2008 09:30

Glad you made it back OK AM. Do you have a tan?

Just rode 11.5km, wooo hoo, have lost 6lb this week. I will get my jeans back on for the winter. Shame they are the jeans I was wearing which means really I have suceeded in Nothing. iykwim. grrr

got to dash again.

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2008 10:14

Ta for your comments on the other thread lovely ladies. I am still a bit with it all. I cannot bring myself to phone my mother atm or speak to my sister. I am afraid i will lose it on the phone as seem to be a bit of an emotional basket case right now.

The kids are off to Legoland this weekend with ex and new wife. I am expected to meet them half way. I know this is not unreasonable, it is to make the children have a lovely weekend... it's just dh is not happy. He says it will be almost 2 hours in the car to get there, then we have to drive back again and then do the same thing Sunday (he is staying in a motel sat night)

He says it ruins our weekend and is not fair on Beau that is true of course. He gets cross and rants, i get upset and go quiet (you know me i wont burst) and i feel awful. He thinks it is ex who should do all the driving. He will be after half term as i will not be allowed as will be 30 weeks and banned from anything

AM glad you are back safe

MrsJB wahooo on the weight loss, i am gaining as fast as you are losing

SOH don't shave your lovely hair, i will look for a nice hat for you. Have you passed your lurgy on to me? I feel dreadful and cant take a thing!

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/10/2008 11:44

Wow MrsJB, well done at all those kilometres!

LG&T, lots of fruit and man up Two hour drive each way . Any chance you can rest at all?

Shave it SOH, then we can all club together and buy you a Hannah Montana wig. I think it might suit you.

Abby, poor you, is it half term next week for you guys?

J is really not well. Up last night and now covered in a rash. Calpoled up and has now started to complain constantly. I put him into bed at 11am and is still asleep (nearly 2pm here) I am taking him to the doctor at 4 as I am really quite worried now.

TheGreatScootini · 03/10/2008 11:44

Jenny I am working on DH re the sleepover but he is exam stressed and cant see the wood for the tress.I will continue however..Sorry havent had time much to reply this week, but your texts do make me giggle which is lovely when I am having a day of it at work (which is every day)

Glad you got back AM..>>grumbles

MmeJaffaB · 03/10/2008 12:09

Excercise bike in this beautiful rural county side? Nooooo the real thing, with J in rear child seat, singing to the birds whilst mummy dies in front. It is so lovely to cycle round here, just a few inclines (not hills) but they are definately getting easier the more I do them.

Have fun at your meet, scoot take a carrier bag and fill it with CM's clutter on the way out.

lg&t, I can see N's point but sometimes things just have to happen. Nice hot honey and brandy lemon drink for you my dear.

Why is it when you know you have lots to do and shouldn't be here you get drawn in?

TillyScoutsmum · 03/10/2008 12:23

We're all down with the lurgy - had about 2 hours sleep last night . Have skimmed but brain is cotton wool so not taken much in but...

LG&T - saw your thread. I was pissed off when my dad and step mum stayed in though with ex h (and he hadn't been a total cheating twat). It just feels odd to me. Hope you manage to get it sorted. You need to be firm lady.

Jenny - sounds like L is getting a teeny bit better ?? That'll be your stern voice. Til just laughs at me if I scream like a demented banshee raise my voice to her.

April - glad holiday was good. My tan is fading fast already

MKG - and dh reading your emails Arse

Charley - glad things are getting better with dh DP has a suspender thing - but with my fat thighs I feel like a roll of topside beef with the string round. Not a good look

Joined weight watchers last night - I'd lost just over a stone on my own but have come to a shuddering halt, so thought I'd give it a go. Need to shop this afternoon and am not in the mood

Errrm - wedding plans are coming along nicely. Rings ordered yesterday, cake ordered, dress still not here (apparently a 2-3 delay ). Not bothered about grandparents (and aunt & uncle) coming tbh. They're a pita but I just feel a bit sorry for my mum because she won't know anyone else except us, where dp's family and my dad will all have other family there . Poor mum is a bit socially inept and doesn't drink so she's going to be stood in the corner watching my step dad get slowly more pissed and nasty and not having anyone to talk to. God love her

Anyhoo - sorry to anyone I missed

charleymouse · 03/10/2008 13:13

Thank god Scoot is running late will go and blow dry hair now.

MmeJaffaB · 03/10/2008 13:30

Tilly get better soon. Dieting is pitta anyway but so much worse if you are poorly.

Popped back in as I meant to say:
TMAM, I hope J feels better soon, if you are worried then he MUST be poorly, as a highly ranked memeber of the mean mummy club surely you'd simply keep him in bed and tell him to man UP! Poor little wee man, do let us know how it goes at the Dr, although I'm placing money on a nasty virus.

MKG · 03/10/2008 15:38

Tilly--Wedding plans are soooooo much fun aren't they I remember half way through my plans screaming "I don't want to get married, I want to be married now let's cut the crap"

LG&T--I have no advice for your situation other than a mafia hit.

TillyScoutsmum · 03/10/2008 15:43

It wasn't supposed to be like this We've both done it before, we're older and wiser and we were going to do our own thing and not let anyone interfere and it was all going to be very simple, straighforward and stress free. Ha fecking ha

There's all sorts of little things that are annoying me but I'm trying to remain calm (arrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh). See ?

AprilMeadow · 03/10/2008 21:00

Sorry to see that you are not well TSM. Weddings deffo bring out the worst in people. My inlaws made up their mind the day before, despite having said they werent coming for about 3 mths. Its a good job i had sussed them out and had included them in the numbers!

have popped some piccies up on facebook for you all to see.

Going to bed shortly as E was us at 5.53am!

MrsJB, i am sending you a little parcel

Now, SOH when did you say you were heading south?

TheGreatScootini · 04/10/2008 08:34

Thats it.No one is coming to my house.Ever.Charleys house will probably shortly appear on Grand Designs. Its bloody AMAZING.I am so .My house is a sad hovel in comparison to everyone elses. She is so lovely too and fed me very nice cake whilst M ate her cat food.
I left Lily's dolly there and had to go back and get it late last night for fear of reprisals.Sure enough when I got back from Charleys L was up and asking for it so it was a goood thing I did!
M has come down with MIL's cold so was up at 4, so no sleep for Mummy again.I beg of you.

Impressive cycling Mrs Jaffa not-so-biffa!But what about when it turns cold and rainy? Will you don galoshes and continue? You are like the May threads version of Lance Armstrong!

Weddings bring out the best in everyone I think Tilly..or not Hang on in there and stick to your guns about what you want..s'all you can do.I laugh at the mere thought of suspenders.I wouldnt even be able to work out how to get them on!

MKG.How close are you to NYC?I am coming next year for my 30th.It has been decided. Its in December. You can come meet me atop the Empire State.Twill be very romantic

Let us know how the boy is TMAM..Concerns are raiased when even the meanest mummies are worried..and it does seem to have gone on a while, him being poorly..heres a kiss for him xx

Hope you're washing is all done April..I have heaps waiting for me at home.I was going to bring it to do here but it felt too studenty

Well off to Meadowhall this morn to spend some money I dont have Then out to lunch with some school friends and tonight off to gig.I will be asleep by 10pm at this rate..never mind

wanders off to hatch a plan to move in with lovely charley in her lovely gaff.Wonders if she would be up for becoming a lovely lesbian lady? Its my only chance..

TheGreatScootini · 04/10/2008 08:37

Oh.Left Charleys with a big ol bag of clothes her too gorgeous DD had grown out of for L.Thankyou Charley for those! So there is my contribution to the de clutter. Not that there was any clutter anyway. It was all flawless granite worktops and lovely wooden floors.grrr

ShowOfHands · 04/10/2008 11:44

How's J TMAM? Been thinking about him this morning.

MrsJB, I too spend a lot of time cycling round with the Tank to unbalance me. But I don't drive so it's not really for the love of it although I do enjoy it.

Lord only knows what you'd think of my place Scoot. We aren't connected to mains water or sewage so make do with a spring and a septic tank. We live in an ancient, creaky, drafty cottage where it's a constant battle to get the smoke to go up the chimney as the God of Flues intended, the floors are ridiculously uneven, the walls are bumpy, none of the rooms are a normal shape and we live up an unmade road that's prone to snow drifts. We love it!

I'll know tomorrow what day I'm tripping across to Hampshire so will let the interested parties know then.

I'm going to Center Parcs in Elveden the week beginning 23rd March. Spare room with twin beds if anybody fancies either coming for a few nights or just a day trip. Just let me know.
