Daisy, that waking sounds like a pain

We should be out. But I put Jamlet in her cot for 5 mins so I could go to the loo and wash my face, clean teeth in peace (well she was screaming, indignant at being put in cot but YKWIM) and she fell asleep! That was 9 o'clock and she's still asleep now. So I think we might be going to the afternoon session at the children's centre now, not the morning one.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 10:19

grr....just spoken with DH; although he has "told his boss" about the baby, he has done nothing about finding out about claiming paternity pay, which we had both agreed that he would do this time around as a) he is entitled to it and b)it would get us some extra time off if he used some holiday as well. so, anyhoo I had a quick look this am and apparently he should've put it in writing at the same time I did mine. He hasn't done this so he will probably lose out on the SPP....twunt. He just said "but I told my boss and she said it was OK"....it's not up to her numbnuts, it's fecking HR and the proper procedure. We wont starve if he has to take it unpaid but it's the fecking principle of the thing.....it's his work, his leave, his responsibility; so why the feck am I trying to sort it out . and why hasn't he found all this out for himself sooner

I'm off back to bed for a bit (DD cried herself out after 20 minutes ) and hopefully will wake up in a better mood.

enjoy your afternoon jammy

natty, thinking about you

had my scan.
no baby, no heartbeat, just a tiny tiny sac.
they said they doubt im over 5 weeks, and according to my dates im 6.
i got to go back in 10 days. so now i got a nerve wrecking 10day wait

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 14:22

oh, natty that is a horrible thing to have to go through, but try and take heart in the fact that as you hadn't had a proper cycle from the previous mc then who knows what your body is doing. From my experience on the KC thread, this doesn't necessarily mean you aren't pregnant. Did they check your hcg levels at all? It's entirely possible that late ovulation combined with late implantation has given the discrepancy in dates. Hard, I know, but try not to worry and get over to the KC thread......there are loads of stories like this that have had positive outcomes.

I'll give you one to help give heart for the time being. One of the women on my November thread started bleeding and was told she was miscarrying and had a D&C. A few weeks later, her hcg levels were still rising so she had all sorts of blood tests as they thought it might have been a molar pregnancy. She was absoultely bricking it as that could mean cancer. Anyway after two weeks they repeated the bloods; still rising so they sent her for a scan.....and there was a baby . She has a bicornate (?)uterus and they reckon it had been twins and that she had lost one and the other had been tucked out of the way in the second part of her uterus when they did the D&C. So try and take heart from that and know that if this baby is meant to be, everything will be just fine

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 19:34

I asked for diprobase trace, but she wouldn't give me any. So much for being diligent with the creams. She has hav five lots of doublebase ribbed in and it's as bad as ever this evening

gawd, ignore my typing this evening; three and a hlf hours sleep hs addled my brain.

OP posts:
trace2 · 04/09/2008 19:48

its one of the most expensive thats why as again and again

trace2 · 04/09/2008 19:51

i have a small tub of epederm i can send you to try, if you facebook me your addy, and if it works yoyu can ask dr you wash with this to, this one is from skin clinic, where is her skin bad?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 19:59

We've got some of that trace but I've onlt used it a few times, thanks anyway. I'll start using it if you think it's good

It's mostly around her nappy area, and at the tops of her thighs (big oval and round patches, almost where the outseide of the anppy is rubbing). Someone on here suggested it might be something called discoid eczema which is notoriously hard to clear apparently. It ticks all the boxes.

OP posts:
foxythesnowfox · 04/09/2008 20:04

just dropping in briefly

Natty - fingers crossed for you. I not hope you are OK and not worrying too much. and and [anger] about your dopey "friend". She sounds like an arse. Anyone on here - who have never met you -wouldn't question the quality of your mummying. Perhaps question the quality of your friendship with her though!

Daisy, poor DD. Hope she isn't suffering.

Hi Trace. Nice to 'see' you.

Am off, LO asleep in her room for the first time. Am sure she won't be there in the morning though!

My cursor keeps jumping back and making it V hard to type. Any idea why?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 20:04

I didn't realise that about diprobase.

I was sitting here tonight trying to figure out which cream or combination of creams to use. I have so many different ones I'm wondering if all the chopping and changing is making things worse.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 20:06

have you got a new laptop foxy? my new one is very sensitive and jumps about all over hte place as I keep brushing the mousepad with with my fat pudgy palms when typing.

hello to you by the way

All back at school then?

ok daisy sounds like dd eczma, we cound not use real nappies or pampers or huggies was told to try eco nappies from asda then for 10 days used daktacort ointment its got miconazole nitrate 2% which mostures skin and hydrocortsone % and had theses seperate but didnt work but doc them gave us this its one cream chemit says its mixed better so works better, anyway was told to use foe 10 days no other creams and eco nappies and it worked she only as flare ups now and again and we blits it for two days.

was told the real nappies didnt work for her but didposables have a plastic on which made dd skin really bad, but eco are really good, we use suncare wasking powder to, dd skin was so bad they took pic to show on net, but now you can not tell.

hope this helps sorry for long post hope you understand some of it lol

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 20:41

thanks trace; sounds very similar. We have daktacort (although not sure there is enough for 10 days!), so I'll give that a go, and pop off to Sainsbury's now for some Nature Babycare nappies. Do ASDA do their own brand eco nappies then?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 20:43

Oooh, did you get some clothes sorted out? Meant to say I've been having a bit of a clear out and have some bits and pieces if you're interested? Was it 6-9 or 9-12 you were after?

OP posts:
NattyThomasAndEllen · 04/09/2008 21:08

evening girls.
i am trying not to worry so thank you everyone, 10 days seems like a very very long time. gosh i dunno how to occupy myself. needless to say my house is spotless, and i have started packing

sorry to hear DD skin is so bad daisy, it must be hard for u, my skin has really really flared up, im gonna have to go back to docs cos the cream ive got isnt working anymore (diprobase) ive had the tub years since i was pregnant with tom, so perhaps its just age? its the biggest tub i have ever seen lol, with a plunger on the top!

what u said about the eco nappies makes sense trace, they are a more paper outer arnt they? i found when i was using them they were fabby at clearing up ellens nappie rash, much better than the main brands.

we have reverted to disposables for now feeling really bad, but my nausea is so bad i have trouble changing one let alone emptying a bucket full of them!
terrible isnt it? tut tut!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/09/2008 21:24

Trace - I meant to ask you about the clothes as well. I've got a range of stuff in 6-9, 9-12 and 6-12 months and could send you some if you're interested?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/09/2008 21:34

natty, I was the same when I had bad MS....dispos all the way then. (And, the fact that you are still feeling so sick is a GOOD THING)

Right have just shelled out £6 for 24 nature babies dispos, and will get onto the doctor for more daktacort tomorrow...we are good to go for operation "clear up"

OP posts:
Sputnik · 04/09/2008 21:48

Evening all
Natty, try not to worry too much, it's very early days so very hard to spot anything I would think. Like Daisy says it's good you're feeling sick.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 09:19

Morning.

Great start to the day here. Text from my sister. Her (complete opposite of D)H has emailed to say he is in Australia! FFS!!! She's understandably in a bit of a state
