trace2 · 05/09/2008 09:26

jammy sosorry for your sister

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 09:41

If we go to ASDA, trace, it's the big one in Pudsey, so they are sure to have them.

I'm having a very interesting conversation on my "heartburn" thread. Someone has come on to give me advice, and mentioned the thread ages ago that was about what primary school you went to. She came to the thread later than me, and she went to the school that wasn't too far away from mine, and from our chat last night turns out she was in the year above me at high school. she lived closer to my primary school though and as I lived between the two schools as well, I'm bound to know her or at least know of her. It's quite intriguing. Strange enough knowing someone from RL on MN, but someone who lived within 500 yards of you as a child is just plain ole weird. I'm desperately trying to think of all the people I knew fitting her decription and I keep coming back to one particular girl who was a very close friend of my best friend. How freaky would that be if it's her?

wow daisy thats weired

Bumperlicious · 05/09/2008 12:41

Hello all. Sorry I've not been around much, I'm in a grump as I have had to be off work all week due to WHTwunts (dh's work) and it has farking bored all day every day, and my car is in the garage broke and I am fed up with being couped up. Went out yesterday after noon and DD whinged the whole time because she didn't want the rain cover on. And she has slept one morning in 4.

Jammy your sister's H sounds like a twunt. Did you think he was a twunt before?

Natty hope you are ok.

Daisy, curious about the childhood friend.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 12:47

Funnily enough I did, Bumper When they got married, I was only 9, and thought he was fab, but I think one is allowed to have dubious taste when you're only 9. But as I got older I liked him less and less. Of course, never told my DSister that! And am still keeping my mouth shut (although I have said I think he's behaved VERY badly and cowardly with all this) as a)she might not want to hear that just now, she certainly hasn't been angry or spitting venom herself and b)who know's what the future holds, I can't see it happening but there is a tiny chance he might come back (and be taken back)!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 12:48

oooh, you're feeling prickly

Hey Bumper I saw you on the prolific poster thread......did you see you broke mumsnet? all the searching you encouraged everyone to do really slowed the site down, lol ...and you are a mere lightweight compared to me

Woke up all energised and feeling like I was nesting and made a mental list of everything I would achieve today...........and have done about 20mins work and have run out of steam

DH is in an interview as we speak for a local job.........good luck vibes required please!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 12:48

Sorry about your grotty week Bumper. And hope the car gets sorted soon, and without too much ££

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 12:50

Who's prickly?

Sending good vibes for your DH Daisy. They're not very high-powered ones though, so hope they get there in time. I just feel drained this afternoon though for some reason.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 13:00

I meant bumper (was trying to be flippant)...but cross posted with you jammy

If he gets this job, we'll see less of him as the hours are a bit dickensian and the working from home will stop, but at least he'll be home every night to put the DCs to bed and to give me a cuddle

OP posts:
Bumperlicious · 05/09/2008 13:02

I know I did daisy I'm sorry everyone!

Sputnik · 05/09/2008 13:07

You are right Jammy, rule 1: never get involved in a boy/girl fight. But you can still think he's a twunt

Hope your DH gets the job Daisy

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 13:12

Hi Sputnik

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 13:19

hi sputnik

I didn't mean it in a bad way bumper, honest

OP posts:
Bumperlicious · 05/09/2008 14:21

Don't worry daisy! I wasn't offended

foxythesnowfox · 05/09/2008 14:32

hullo ladies. alright?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 14:34

Hi Foxy

foxythesnowfox · 05/09/2008 15:10

at your BIL being in Oz Jammy.

Wonder if he'll limp back muttering 'mid-life crisis'. What a prick.

Hope your sister is OK. Have you shared with her the joy of MN for venting and ranting? Suspect she'd get support in bucket loads.

Can't imagine what she must be going through.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 16:01

jammy, I completely missed the post about your BIL being in Oz....wtf? and presumably paid for out of their bank account. serious twunt-ism invho.

DH just called to say he's on his way back; his interview lasted for over 2.5 hours! And the chap wants him back in two weeks to meet his boss so they can talk salaries . It's all looking pretty hopeful, but it means we'll have to shift our shopping allegiance as he will get staff discount

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 16:02

and hi foxy ...forgot about you there!

OP posts:
Sputnik · 05/09/2008 17:11

Looking good Daisy
That would be great if you had your DH around to help more

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 17:54

Good news about your DH Daisy

As far as I know, BIL will have paid for his ticket with money from his own savings, not that that's much consolation.

foxythesnowfox · 05/09/2008 18:20

I sculled a beer at the kids teatime.

It is not the answer.

I sobered up far too quickly. Am moving onto gin.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/09/2008 18:23

I think I will be having some gin once jamlet is in bed.
It might be the sloe variety though.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/09/2008 18:29

pmsl foxy

are you a sporting widow again?

DH sounding very enthusiastic about the job, even if it for those morrison people (the shops give me panic attacks as they are just too full of stuff)
