Bramshott · 09/09/2008 18:32

So sorry to hear about your Grandad Dooby. Do tell us about it on here as much as you need to. When my Grandpa died, I talked about it much more on here than in RL because it was easier somehow.

CD - very to hear about the pre-school dad. How awful. I'm sure they appreciated your card whatever it said.

I'm so full of snot here - honestly, N has been back at school for only 4 days and already she's brought germs home - sigh!

NorthernLurker · 09/09/2008 18:33

Sol - no that doesn't sound right! 1st day was fine thnak - quite fun tbh. Such a massive relief to have moved on as well. I found some e-mails when I was clearing stuff out which reminded me of some very unpleasant times.

POTC · 09/09/2008 18:45

prepare to laugh ...

NorthernLurker · 09/09/2008 19:14

Oh good grief!!!

Mel Gibson in Braveheart (which I was watching whilst ironing on Sunday night) was less adorned than your pair!!!

POTC · 09/09/2008 19:17

Anyone going to the christmas shindig this year?
Do we want to think about organising one for the thread?

oooggs · 09/09/2008 19:18

OMG - made my day (I don't do paint)

POTC · 09/09/2008 19:23

POTC · 09/09/2008 19:32

I know London is a long way from a lot of you, but is it the easiest place to get to for most?

I thought maybe Birmingham or Milton Keynes, but transport would be more difficult I think?

We could do it in January when everywhere is a bit quieter and we all need cheering up?

Pesha · 09/09/2008 19:49

Dooby - SO sorry about your grandad You're really having a rough time of things lately aren't you

Doobydoo · 09/09/2008 20:00

geordieminx · 09/09/2008 20:10

Hey ladies

dOOby - so sorry to hear about your Grandad.

POTC- What the fcuk happened????

Cant stay on long as we are in the process of ebay-ing. Does anyone with a boy need a couple of pairs of size 4 shoes - one pair of startrite blue and cream and a pair of brown doodles? C has outgrown them but it seems a shame to bin them?

Pesha · 09/09/2008 20:20

Oooh Dylan is a size 4 but has massively fat feet is an H fitting so normal width shoes wouldn't fit. If they are wide fitting though they'd be fab, he has wellys but he finds them difficult to walk in so been wearing his normal shoes out in the rain and keeps getting them soaking wet/covered in mud (see profile photo - did you all look at my photo btw?! ) so a spare couple of pairs would be fab, how much do you want for them?

Pesha · 09/09/2008 20:30

Sorry dooby didnt see your post

Really glad things are better, feel so sorry for your ds, all excited about going to school and then some horrible bully does that and ruins it all Lovely that you are all happy to home ed again though I'm really not sure I could do it and no idea what I would do with dd if i did. But he is so different to how he used to be, miserable, stroppy, angry, lethargic, vulnerable it breaks my heart and if school is the cause and it doesn't get any better then I really have no choice, there is no way I I'll continue to send him if it is going to continue to make him like this. Every night we have tears and tantrums and 'I feel too sick to go to school mummy' with pleading eyes because he really doesn't want to go . Ok must shut up about it now before I start blubbing!

StealthPolarBear · 09/09/2008 20:42

HI everyone
Oh pesha What are you planning to do next? You took him to the doctors didn't you (sorry, sieve brain again)

Doobydoo · 09/09/2008 20:42

Oh PeshaIn our case if the school had dealt with it properlywe wouldn't have had a prob with him going.W e didn't think hr would be going to learn aademic stuff as even in 1st week he was apparently so far aheadHe just wanted to make more friends.I really feel for you. What is he like at school?

geordieminx · 09/09/2008 20:44

Pesha the Startrites are G I think not sure about the doodles - standard I think?

and brown doodles with lions on the front ]

CaptainDippy · 09/09/2008 21:00

Oh Pesha, how draining for you, poor thing. xx

Glad new job is going well NL & great news about your SIL - I think my littlest niece is the yummyest thing ever - such a proud Auntie!!

night!

Doobydoo · 09/09/2008 21:19

Night all.xx

Sexonlegs · 09/09/2008 21:30

Hi folks

Pesha, poor N. Such a shame for him to be so down. Has he been like this since the start of year R or has it got worse since the start of this term?

I think year 1 has hit B hard. It sounds much more structured with no play and she is really anti-reading and saying she finds it "tricky".

Thinking of you, as I know it is heartbreaking.

Dooby, what are you coming over for? Where are you going to be?

Dippy, oooh KFC - I fancy that!

Pesha · 09/09/2008 23:20

GM - The startrite shoes look quite soft and flexible, are they? If so then they would be brilliant I think. His trainers he has are actually a 4G I think and fine, it varies between style of shoe and things what fits and what doesn't. But doodles if they are standard would prob be an F fitting I think so prob too small. If its easier for you to email me my address is dynamai @ yahoo. co. uk.

Aaargh Dylan crying
