December 2006- where they've grown so much we spend more time talking about our lives than our children

Well that and our pregnancies and other non-dec '06 children

Tis a good thing I feel.

ouch to bites Indith - sound horrid, poor DS. Wherabouts in North Yorkshire? Prob not too far away from me

On the ouch front, I've broken my toe!! Really in the wars at the moment. Fell down the stairs, so spent about 3 hours in A&E only to find out they wouldn't x-ray or treat it since I am pregnant - arrgghhh! Why couldn't the triage nurse have told me that??!!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 05/10/2008 21:30

Big hugs for you Lennied. ow ow ow.

accessorizequeen · 06/10/2008 13:58

I think I now have a single not v.good photo of the dt's on my profile.

congrats sacha, fab fab birth story . What did you call her or did I miss that?

double ow too, lennied. Must say, thank you to you and Oli for the girlie clothes which have been in constant use all week. Poor little ds3 has about 3 sleepsuits that fit him, he's so wee.

accessorizequeen · 06/10/2008 13:59

Trying again for that profile...

EustaciaVye · 06/10/2008 14:25

Gorgeous Pics AQ!!!

Congrats Sacha!

LenniEd · 06/10/2008 14:53

They are so cute AQ - glad the clothes are being used too, can't wait to see all four of them together!

Toe on the mend (ish), can kind of walk on other side of my foot now, look very funny though, DD and DH very amused!

Indith · 06/10/2008 16:03

Cute photo AQ, those other kids of yours are pretty cute too

Rosedale Lennied

Have just spent the day with a new friend Ds has left no stone unturned in the botanic gardens. I don't think there is a single unused article in my kitchen and I cannot be bothered. Thankfully I found a tub of lasagne for ds in the freezer so washing up can wait

Ds keeps lifting my top and "wiping" my back with a tissue. He has very cold hands.

They are sooo cute.

LenniEd · 06/10/2008 18:17

Nope nowhere near - I live on the edge of the Dales - thought you might have gone there. Well, if ever you do...

jabberwocky · 06/10/2008 18:50

AQ, beautiful babies! I wish I lived nearer. You have also inspired me to upload photos to facebook. I figured if a new mum of twins can find the time...

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 06/10/2008 23:16

I love the Gradution photos Jabber.

DDs had 2nd dose of MMR today (dd1 had the pre-shcool booster as well)

DD1 was still complaining of a sore arm when off to bed, she asked me about earrings today. I said that it was a bit like having an injection and told her to decide after she'd had her jabs. She covered her ears and said to the nurse "I don't want you to do my ears" and put her hands over them. Bless her. When I had to inject myself, soemtimes it was painless, then other times it would hurt for ages.

I gave her calpol when I put her to bed tonight, but I've checked on her since and she's all sweaty but not hot. I'll have to play it by ear I think.

I had lovely cuddles from both of them at bedtime. They're just so huggable.

jabberwocky · 07/10/2008 14:16

Thanks Margo

How are the sore arms today?

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 07/10/2008 18:51

Both okay today. Dd1 has complained a couple of times but she's not got a temperature anymore.

LenniEd · 07/10/2008 20:51

Glad they're ok Margo - DD was poorly about a week after hers, but fine immediately afterwards, they all seem to react differently.

Jabber, photos are lovely - really must get round to putting some new ones on my fb profile. Still can't add pictures to the group - think I need to be an admin on the group to do it, could someone make me one pretty please?

Just found a tub of Haagan Das (sp?) ice-cream in the freezer that my DS and BIL must have left behind - surely they won't want it back??

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 07/10/2008 20:55

No sooner said than done Lennied.

Olihan · 07/10/2008 22:13

REally quick hello and huge congrats to AQ for very beautiful babies and amazing twin birth.

I'm in the middle of making a christening cake for my dsis and cleaning the house in preparation for my dad coming tomorrow. Will catch up properly soon.....

Elibean · 08/10/2008 11:08

Wah, look what I've missed - two birth stories, a new kitten, and the most gorgous photos

Congratulations all round.

LenniEd, I am picturing you deep into that tub of HD right about now....

Am rushing around like headless chicken (with IBS ) after lovely weekend visiting my sister: worth it, but still catching up on washing, homework, etc. Am getting cold feet about a course I'm supposed to start in a fortnight, and about putting our house on the market - though the likelihood of it selling atm is probably zero!

Will catch up properly soon...

SachaF · 08/10/2008 20:41

Lovely photo AQ.
Note to self: Must remember how to add photos again.
Been going to bed at 8 or 9 recently so have only just found time to read up - but I have managed to get ds1 out to something every day plus we had a wedding 120 miles away at the weekend so I'll cut me some slack!
Dh got home by half 6 today, yay! I didn't have to do tea time and bath time all by myself! ds1 is very affectionate to dd, they just don't realise their own strength do they?!

Indith · 09/10/2008 11:11

Think we'll forgive you Sacha.

The duvet has lost its magic

And I found out the disadvantage of snuggling ds in our bed when he wakes. Dh had been away for a couple of days, came home after ds went to bed the other night. 2am upset ds turned into excited, hyper ds because daddy was home!

castlesintheair · 09/10/2008 12:23

Went to playgroup this morning with DD2 and she sang all the songs and did all the actions. My how they are growing up

Just to make matters worse (on the emotional mother scale) DD1 has gone to her friend's house after school, DD2 is asleep and DS is at school. It is sooooooooooooooooo quiet.

EustaciaVye · 09/10/2008 12:31

Indith. Hopefully it is just a phase.

Castles an empty house!

DD2 is gorgeous and very stubborn in equal measures at the moment. Her speech is great for her age (I think, compared to DD1) and she is so bright! She is digging her heels in refusing her afternoon nap though but she still needs it

Dd1 had an orthoptist appointment today and she's doing really well. She's controlling her squint all by herself and they dont need to do anything. She still has to wear glasses for the astigmatism but I feel relieved about the squint bit.

LenniEd · 09/10/2008 14:49

Good news about DD1 EV - also hope everything else ok with family - am still thinking of you.

Have added some pics to fb (thanks Margo) - rather worryingly can't find any photos since about end of August - need to have a sort out, am sure that camera mad DH must have taken some , well things have been hectic so perhaps not!

Indith, DD is all out of sorts at the moment with sleep. She also wants to come in our bed a lot, and wants us both there with her - no toilet trips allowed! I think she is also picking up on my anxiety about the new baby as it draws closer, she seems very clingy and a bit subdued. Am going to start properly preparing her for it all now, think that will help.

Have bought an arms reach co-sleeper cot for the baby - yippee, finally got my hands on one! Feel like we're getting somewhere with getting prepared now. Have also bought a nice outfit for him to wear home. DH and I are almost agreed on a name too, well pretty close to almost anyhow

jabberwocky · 09/10/2008 16:00

Bad sleep night here as well Ds2 was just very unsettled. I thought we were getting a break from teeth atm but not sure what else could be going on. He's got a teensy runny nose from allergies but that hasn't seemed to be a big bother

Anyway, a bit tired in the jabber household today...

EustaciaVye · 09/10/2008 16:01

Thanks Lennied - Radiotherapy this week or next for 5 days and then that will be the only treatment I believe.
