AND ITS NOT GOING FAST

elkie - thought of names yet?

hope Ellie is having a super duper fab time

I have been to see gp today and he has signed me off for 4 weeks

Sexonlegs · 12/08/2008 20:14

Evening all.

Thanks for your info re bedwear! Bought K some pj's - 12 -18 months, and they are way too long! She looks really sweet in them though I have to say. Sticking with the grobag for now as she is way too active.

Also bought B 2 hula hoops!

Oooggs, I won't mention time flying again ! Good you have been signed off.

Hope Ellie is enjoying herself!

Eddas, did dd go to bed early then?

All ok here. Feel rough as shite though. Don't know what to do. Been taking nurofen and have some chesty cough stuff to loosen the stuff on my chest (sorry for tmi) but I still feel crap. B is off colour too; complaining of a sore throat this evening. Have dosed her up with Calpol night and put the humidifier on.

Right, dinner cooked and Holby on, so back later.

Hope you are all well. x

oooggs · 12/08/2008 21:03

yep just seen Holby and off to bed

dcs are in shorty pjs are the moment, not that the weather is shouting 'summer'

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 21:05

oooggs, have you thought of names? i know you said a girl name would have been dd's middle one...

oooggs · 12/08/2008 21:09

Katy - not sure, but you know the names of our other children (on profile) so any suggestions welcomed

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 21:15

I know your DC's names! What kind of stalker would I be if I didn't know that, eh?
I'm really not good with names that 'go', well apart from the obvious one to go with your DC2 but then it would seem like his other sister was his twin!
Actually I'm quite impressed with the number of April 07 DCs and their siblings I do remember, considering my memory is usually bad.

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 21:16

Would you want to stick to J for a boy, E for a girl, or not bothered?

CaptainDippy · 12/08/2008 21:16

Boris!!?

Glad Asda came good with the hula hoops SOL

Off to do stuff ........

oooggs · 12/08/2008 21:19

no J's and no E's - the boys were not meant to be like that!!!!!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 12/08/2008 21:21

Atchooooooo

oooggs · 12/08/2008 21:22

names that go............... ours are semi traditional (well the boys are) so couldn't go for something like Savannah - if you see what I mean

I would like 4 or 5 letters that can't really be shortened - not bothered about middle names as they can come later

now do you see why I keep coming back to 'Grace'

geordieminx · 12/08/2008 21:30

Grace
Holly
Anna
Kate
Fiona
Hannah
Lauren (although not sure Lauren and Erin sound a bit similar)

Cant think of any more!!

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 21:58

Help! Friend who had a baby sent me a pic at 5.45 pm. Only just got it. Baby is lovely Do I text her back now, or is it too late? Surely next few days day and night won't matter? Or is it rude? No other DCs.

liath · 12/08/2008 22:03

Text her back - she'll probably still be on an adrenaline high!

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 22:05

thanks liath
Have posted this in chat, assuming one or two more agree I will do it.
Just would feel awful if they'd just got to sleep. On the other hand that could be the case at 11am. But that would be unfortunate - this is 10pm when normal people are in bed!

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 22:06

you are agreed with - thanks
Plus am texting to say he's gorgeous, sure I will be forgiven!

Sexonlegs · 12/08/2008 22:06

I would text her back SPB.

What about Chloe. or Ella. Milly.Rosie.

Right, need to go to bed. Not sure what sort of night I might get. I always find myself listening out for the girls when I am on my own. So annoying that I can't switch off.

Right, sleep well all, and see you tomorrow. xx

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2008 22:09

me too, night all

NorthernLurker · 12/08/2008 23:09

just a quick late night post to say Oooggs I think Grace is lovely (it's dd2's miffle name) but i also think Lucy would sound nice with your other dcs

Pisha · 12/08/2008 23:10

Hello!!

POsting half way through reading as I know I'll forget it all!

Dooby - I know exactly where you are coming from re dog. My dog Murphy is a lovely dog, fab with the kids in fact barely batted an eyelid earlier when Dylan crawled right over the top of him rather than going around and Dyaln is also quite fond of puuting toys in Murphy's mouth which involves him putting his whole hand in his mouth and then trying to put his hand back in to take it out again! But I just don't have the time to walk him as much as he needs, nice walks are fairly limited around here so to give him a good walk involves driving somewhere with 3 dc and 3 wheeler pushchair and it makes such a big deal out of it all iyswim. Anyway my dad is going to have him as he often works outside so could take him with him and he regularly goes for 3+ hour walks at weekends. I don't want to get rid of him but I know its whats best. Now just waiting for my dad to find somewhere to live now hes back from his travels in France but thats another story!

MJ - I tend to agree with others in saying leave it to dh to sort out. I get thoroughly fecked off with J's family but bite my tongue and try and stay out of it as it not my family. I thionk offering to have the dd to yours or dropping ds off with them for a few hours seems like a good option for a crappy situation.

NL - yay for handing in notice!!

Eddas - Yay for new car I took dc with me when getting my new car but also took J so he could help shout at control them!

GM - Yay for kittens! And C is utterly gorgeous! He looks so grown up in that top picture.

Oooggs - so sorry you're having such a tough time. Hope it gets better soon. I had my worst sickness ever with D and its just so draining and depressing feeling/being sick all the time. Thinking of you

Sol - Sorry you're feeling rough. Cant remember what day it was you said you were taking a day off but hope it was/is nice and did/does help!

Can sympathise with all those struggling with dc off school. Took all 3 to Tesco earlier. D is fine in the trolley as long as I remeber to keep it in the middle of the aisle where he cant grab anything! M and N on the other hand wre an absolute nightmare. Arguing over who is holding on to which side of the trolley ffs, standing in front of me or other people, going on and on about all the things they want, pushing the end of the trolley the wrong way, running up and down aisles as soon as my back turned, squabbling continually, picking everything and anything up, climbing on shelves, strangling each other while I was packing and paying and generally behaving like total tearaways. I was actually really embarassed by them. Sent them both to their rooms when we got in (more to give me 5 minutes break than to punish them!). The weather is so crap though and I am totally skint so they are just so bored.
We did have fun this evening though. I used to have this album from childhood and would often play it with Maia when she was little and dance like loons but then she got hold of record player and scratched it But this evening I started looking up all the songs on You Tube and was playing tham to them and we were dancing like loons again and it was great fun!!
Particular favourites are Right Said Fred, My Boomerang Wont come back, The Teddy Bear's Picnic (the proper one!), Two Little Boys (have to try very hard not to cry listening to this! Wtf is wrong with me?!?), I know an Old Lady (proper one again!), Banana Boat Song (very funny!) and lastly The Laughing Policeman, of course! Is that enough links now do you think?!

Pisha · 12/08/2008 23:33

Ok have read more now!

SOL - hula hoops in tesco, bought Maia one recently.
D wears mixture of sleepsuits, pjs, same T-shirt hes had on all day and nappy to bed. Although he has developed a habit lately of twiddling with his belly button (twiddles with his willy the moment his nappy is off but when its safely tucked away again he goes for belly button instead!) so if I do put him in sleepsuit its one of the short ones and I leave it unpopped! No Gro-bags anymore and in fact he doesn't even really like having a blanket on, think he gets quite hot.

Elkie - seems to be flying by to me too but can well imagine its really not for you.

MJ - please ignore all previous comments re IL situation! Glad you have talked and he has made a decision, they do sound like awful people

Just read more and see that now most of my comments are redundant!

Nathan finally had his pre school booster today. Its now 3 injections He screamed cried when they first did it but quickly calmed down although alternated between hugging me and then hitting me, think he was bit cross with me for making him have it but wanted comfort from me at same time bless him. He seems so grown up at times but then things like this and hes still my little baby! Fine once we got home although slightly delicate but not felt ill at all so far which is good.

Oo oo, forgot my other big news (for those not on Facebook!) I am MOVING!!! The people in the lovely house up the road have decided they do want mine and there is no need to wait so as soon as all HA checks done we'll be moving! Have put 19th Sept as our date on forms so fingers crossed that they don't hold us up.

Am also starting an apprenticeship in Supporting Teachiong and Learning in Schools (teaching Assistant!) at end of Sept so I really want to have moved before then. I have so much to do and so much to think about at the moment and yet I've just spent my entire evening reading and posting on here!

Pisha · 12/08/2008 23:40

Whats a Miffle name NL?!

Will have a think about names Oooggs. I do like Ella, think Nathan prob would have been Ella if he'd been a girl. Although it is another E isn't it, could all be a bit too similar?! I think if I really liked a name I wouldn't let that put me off though.

Or of course Maia is a beautiful name and I think it would go very well with Erin!

StealthPolarBear · 13/08/2008 07:48

Exciting news Pesha - do you know when you're moving yet? ANd your apprenticeship - you will have a lot on!
Agree with Maia and Lucy, thought of Luke and then some very 80s names, Jane, Mark, few others but can't remember them!

oooggs · 13/08/2008 08:36

Grace - dd?s middle name
Holly
Anna
Kate - the name of that woman my brother married
Fiona - Shrek?
Hannah - very good friends of ours have a Hannah & James!
Lauren - name of cousin
Chloe
Ella - to close to Erin
Milly - DS1?s best friend (her sister is called Anya ? which I love)
Rosie
Lucy - good friends had a baby last week called Lucy
Maia

Katy ? Luke for a boy is currently winning (was supposed to be for Jack )

I love Orla but dh has vetoed it totally and I still come back to Grace Lily (Lily doesn?t go with our surname ? hence a middle name)

I am not going on the baby name thread for them to slag off my current childrens names ? I am not strong enough for that

liath · 13/08/2008 08:42

Sarah, Elise, Anna, Nancy....erm I'm rubbish at baby names. I love Maia BTW.

This weather is really starting to p*ss me off. I might have to brave soft play today and hope it's not too crowded.

What's everyone else up to?
