Morning ladies

Have dropped off the active list again, will blame it on being bust tidying up after our hols.

agalch-ouch for you. My mum had gallstones but seem to remember the recovery was very quick after the op. {{hugs}}

Annie-Happy Anniversary!

flick-'tis always hard leaving them at nursery. Took Emma a couple of months to settle then she never wanted to leave.

Sophie has not had any naps while Emma has been off so she is shattered all the time. When Emma goes back to school I may try to put her in her cot for a little sleep. She just keeps saying 'not tired' everytime I ask her.

Righty ho, had better get on. Need to bake some bun cakes-not for me though as put 4.5 lb on last night at WW.

Big wave!

i know spin bless him!
night time is getting worse although i have a nasty little feeling it's molars coming through - when did those of you with bigger kids get them? he woke at 1150 last night, wailing to come down, went back after wimpering for a long time - to sleep i mean - then woke at 200 on and off till 3 when i got some calpol into him and it really settled him. he was also saying teeth hurting this morning so....

dh was ready to leave home i think come 3am - jacob was just howling and that awful over hysterical sobbing / not breathing thing they do. at least dh has finally realised that maybe letting jacob into our bed night after night after night is maybe not such a good idea - shame he didn't listen to me and went with his mum's suggestions...

anyway, slipped off the bottom cellar step this morning and fell onto the washing machine door so it came off its hinges (i must weigh a lot!) so no washing today and the nice expensive repair man will come tomorrow with another door hopefully.

Spin - fortunately Josh will still be going to nursery 3 times a week whilst I am off so I can spend all 3 days in bed if I wish once I am nearing the end of this pregnancy

Flick - this is going to sound like a stupid question but which ones are the molars? Josh has 20 teeth now (including 8 double ones which are molars right?) which I thought was a full set but I am wondering from your question whether he will get some more once he is a bit older? He has had all 20 now for quite a few months now - in fact the last 4 double ones came through without us even noticing (Sorry about the washing machine - how annoying!!)

thefortbuilder · 02/09/2008 11:52

i think josh already has them ceebee - jacob has been really late with all his teeth and i was under the impression that the big back molars came through at around 2-2.5 yrs old?

and jacob is going to nursery for 3 half days each week at the moment and when we are in HK it'll be up to 5 half days.

dh said "I don't mind you doing this baby show as long as you make a good fist of it"....well he is financing it but it rather peeves me that he thinks it's just something i'm playing at

Hello All,

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. 6 years! That's just forever...
6 years (according to Google) is traditionally iron or sugar, so I thought, Hmm, that's easy, and got him some chocs.
DH also googled it, and just found iron, so guess what he got me? A fecking iron griddle pan... Just what I need!!
Nice thought I suppose!
Mind you for father's day, I the children got him some kitchen stuff too - he wasn't very impressed... never mind!

Mimi slept in her bed again last night, woke twice, no falling out, but was awake around 5am... And there was no mental crazy jumping out every five seconds at bed-time, so yaay!

Spin, glad Roshi is getting on ok too. They love their Big Bro's!!

Best go ladies, hope all are well x x x

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/09/2008 16:49

ok who's jealous? Today I have played sqaush/swum/had coffee with my friend, watched my Sky Plussed TV programmes, and mooched around the house. I shall miss my days of freedom.

Spin, T won't go to pre-school till he is 3 either. Of course he is nursery now, but only cos I worked - if I get a new job he will go back to it but when i am off he will be home with me.

Job hunt has ground to a halt....have finally negotiated a reasonable monthly allowance (god I hate that word) with DH. Must get a new job, need to have my own spends.

Happy Anniversary Annie!

HC - I haven't eaten a sinlge naughty thing for days, have done loads of exercise and generally been really healthy and have put on a pound. I am going back to getting pissed every night and eating lard.

HumphreysCorner · 02/09/2008 17:30

Hey Bloss, I am child free today but done boring householdy things. Well done on negotiating your monthly allowance-you'll never guess what mine is. Oh, OK then I'll let on ......................................................................£20. Am so rich not!

Going to pour another glass of BH then eat. Just not in the right frame of mind for dieting.

well I'm having wine for tea.

HC - my allowance is for diesel, my contact lenses, phone, H's swimming, and then all other expenses that I will incur by being with the kids pretty much full time. Please tell me you do not have to do all that on £20..............

HumphreysCorner · 02/09/2008 21:12

Bloss-yup! Doesn't even cover my £25 hair cut.

T still sleeps for at least 1.5 hours a day from 1pm. I/we rely on it. Mainly because he still starts kicking about his cot/singing/shouting MUMMMMMMEEEEEE/telling me he has done a poo/is soaking wet, etc anytime from 5.30am.

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/09/2008 21:14

Toby's fave song is:

raining
pouring
old man
snoring
went bed
bump head
couldn't get up morning
oh no
herewego
raining aGEN!

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/09/2008 21:15

HC you must be a miracle worker. I was ready for fisticffs at my sum!

TheGoddessBlossom · 02/09/2008 21:17

Hey Annie 6 years - we are 8 this November. Who's been married the longest on this thread then? I'm thinking Spin......Flick? What about you? [nose nose nose]

HumphreysCorner · 02/09/2008 21:46

7 years last month (11th August)

Bloss-I live off the Family Allowance and Tax Credits. (Most of it spent on petrol driving the girls around). Poor DH doesn't have any more spare-bless.

Married for 18 months or so lol. But been together 20 years, god i sound like an old bag

TheGoddessBlossom · 03/09/2008 08:55

Spin I am struggling with the booze drought. The things is I like 1, maybe 2 glasses of wine of an evening. And then I stop. But DH will join me and he doesn't stop. He has to be on a drought or nothing. So either I do without or he has a hangover every morning.....which is all my fault.....

We have been together for 17 years, although only married for nearly 8. Long relationships on this thread...

I want some of these for Christmas what do you think?

thefortbuilder · 03/09/2008 08:55

been together 8 years this december and married just over 3.

well update on toilet training here - it's going well and we have very very few accidents except for pointing his willy down! here's how the conversation goes

me: poitn your penis down, point it down ,point it down
jacob: yes pointing down shoving finger on penis

starts peeing and takes finger off

me: frantically pushing it down POINT IT DOWN!!!!! there go another pair of trousers.

and he's still dry at night.

we bought a new nightlight plug in thing that he seems to like and he was much better when he woke at 1150 last night, went back to sleep but then woke again at around 230 and came down to us. better than the previous night i guess at least.

nothing else to report, just starting to try and get myself organised for doing this baby show! tell your mates

PixelHerder · 03/09/2008 10:45

Morning Girls!

lol at penis pointing Flick there should be some kind of device or something you can hold it in place with. Fab that the potty training's going so well tho'

Bloss, know what you mean about the drink thing - I have wine with my dinner every night (prob 3 or 4 smallish glasses) but as soon as the food's finished I (usually) slow right down or stop, whereas DH carries on. He also blames me, apparently he rarely drank at home in the evenings before he met me... and double

We've been together nearly 9 years, married less than one! Happy late anniversary Annie - lol at the choc and griddle exchange!

Emma hasn't napped every day since around a year ago, when she changed rooms in nursery and wouldn't sleep in the new room. She dropped them altogether in about March, I was SO gutted. She has a very occasional one now if she's off colour / unbearably whingey, but we have to limit the time or she won't settle at night. Can't complain really though as she sleeps pretty reliably from 8 till 8 at night.

Still in the midst of decorating / extension planning / work hunting here. Was v annoyed yesterday as I found some bargain bamboo blinds in B&Q - rushed home and put them up, they looked lovely. Then we realised that they are almost completely see-through FROM THE OUTSIDE at night, grrrrrrr. So unless we want to subject the neighbours to naked flits from bathroom to bedroom, we'll either have to find something else, or find some way of making them opaque

ceebee74 · 03/09/2008 11:12

Ooh I think I win the 'longest marriage' on the thread . We have been together 14 years but married for 11! And look at us with just a 2-year old and a bump to show for it

Flick - lol at the penis pointing down - I am so looking forward to potty training (not!!)

Bloss - Josh also loves that song (although I have to sing it) but I change the name of whose snoring usually to Daddy and then we have to go through Mummy, Josh, even Baby Sam, Thomas, Percy......and so on!!

But he has just started singing himself - the theme tune to Roary the Racing Car - he can sing 'Roary the racing car, Roary my number one star' - tis very sweet!

Am so unmotivated at work at the moment - how on earth am I going to get through the next 7 weeks......
