Mornin!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pinkjenny · 30/07/2008 20:43

Am posting in sleep. She's asleep. In her cot.

MKG · 30/07/2008 20:49

Yay for Pink!

Pinkjenny · 30/07/2008 20:49

She just keps coughing and coughing. What do I do?

MKG · 30/07/2008 20:57

Is she sick? Go check on her and leave her. she's probably doing the "I'm going to cough so someone comes and gets me trick" Cruz pulls that one all the time.

JamInMyWellies · 30/07/2008 21:56

Pj just posted on your other thread keep with it.

MKG poor you why on earth so many vials?

TYG, SKY how are you lovelies?

CAQL how goes it, you nearly doen with the visitors?

Bit bored here today you know when you just cant motivate yourself to do bog all.

Also a bit sad on the Dec thread there has been a couple of late miscarriages not even sure if thats what you call it when it happens at 20wks, very somber what do you say in that situation?

MKG · 30/07/2008 22:10

That's protocol here. They test for everything prenatally, including HIV now.

I don't know what you say in those situations. I can't imagine how anyone would feel.

cravingaquietlife · 30/07/2008 23:03

Thats sad Jam.... very tough, poor ladies. I think you are right though, I think it's still a misscarrige up to 26 weeks. (I think)

PJ, wondered where you were, off to find thread. whats happening?

MKG, it's the same here, I always say the french don't really drink red wine, they are all vampires in true and the prgnant ladies are the ones supplying it.

elkiedee · 30/07/2008 23:33

My hospital tests blood for all sorts of scary stuff at the beginning as well, but they seem to make do with one blood sample.

Jam, sorry to hear about the miscarriages.

I can't motivate myself to do much a lot of the time, at home or at work. It shows! I just wish the weather would cool down.

Lupins71 · 31/07/2008 08:56

JAM theres not really alot you can say tbh we lost M at 29wks and those ladies will just be numb at the moment, send them some hugs and let them know you are thinking about them

Wish we had some sunshine here, seems like it has rained for weeks, all this talk of hot weather is quite depressing

TYG & SKY hope babies comes soon must be dreadfully uncomfy

PJ how did te sleep go? was is a success?

JamInMyWellies · 31/07/2008 09:02

Lups sorry didnt mean to bring it all back for you.

Am getting v excited about the prospect of rain today it is currently a balmy 30degrees outside and muggy as hell. My hair is a fright!

Lupins71 · 31/07/2008 15:25

JAM dont worry I dont mind at all, our road currently is a flowing river, went to morrisons earlier and it was really hard for dp to see

Guess what - how amazing is this, I got asked my age to buy beer at the supermarket - no make up, rain frizzed hair and not the greatest look in clothing, couldnt believe it - told the girl she had made my day lol

I am feeling so good it is amazing, I really thought I would be still feeling crappy but its a huge weight of my mind now everything is over and I dont have the sickness and tiredness - feel like a new woman, havent felt like this for a long time!

twelveyeargap · 31/07/2008 18:38

I'm so hot, I'm about to expire. Some part of my addled brain thought it was a good idea to cook a load of meals today. I've almost run out of A's little dinners I keep in the freezer and thought I'd do some portions for us too. It's raining, so I can't have the kitchen door open. It's about 27 degrees outside, so with 4 gas burners on, I dread to think how hot the kitchen is.

So far I have chicken in bechamel sauce, chicken provencal, bolognaise, chilli and have started a cottage pie.

Ankles are looking decidedly puffy. Yuk.

Oh good, time to give A a bath. She's been v cranky this afternoon. Fell asleep in the car about 5 mins from home after we'd been to Waitrose so she was not impressed about being lifted out. Then didn't think she needed another sleep this afternoon. Eventually got her down for about an hour, but she's been manic ever since.

Oh dear, I take it back. Might be teeth. She's just done one of those poos that causes instant nappy rash.

LookattheLottie · 31/07/2008 20:42

Evening

PJ I didn't post but I did read through some of your sleep thread. How did it go last night? I'll add that TYG's advice about getting them before they start showing signs that they're tired is a fab bit of info. It really does work. Dd wasn't in the best routine at bedtime, I've now got her down for 7:15pm (sleeping) every night using this method. 1 nap a day, usually about an hour long at lunch time, lots of active play during the day, fresh air, bath at 6:30pm, DO NOT take back downstairs, put in cot with a warm bottle of milk and some nice music playing. C has a lullaby cd that was a Birhtday present and it is fab! Sleeps like a baby. I hope it gets better for you soon

TYG sorry to hear you're so uncomfortable.

Lups, it's wonderful that you're feeling so well.

Jam, I hope it cooled down for you.

Hey to everybody else!

Well, we've had a productive day! I bought some poster paint for C lol, it was great fun! She ate most of it though..... Strange child. Sat out in the garden with the splash mat down, and we both ended up covered in the stuff.

Also got 2 gorgeous pairs of jeans in the sale today, £20.00 for both of them! Happy happy happy!

Now sat twiddling my thumbs, have lots of clearing up to do, but don't want too! Should get on and wrap ebay parcels.

New pics on profile. x

Morning all

Had my family round for dinner last night to celebrate my Dads birthday. Did a lovely roast followed by some scrummy desserts (bought not made).

Ella had her MMR yesterday, she was a little sleepy/cuddly in the afternoon but perked up come bedtime and is fine this am. Think the choccy button made things all ok.

I was so hoping to see a birth announcement on here this morning. Fingers crossed for you both.

CAQL hope you manage to get your puter fixed soon.

We are off to see Kylie tomorrow night at the o2 arena. Left dh in charge of organising the baby sitter (his mum) and as yet he hasnt asked her! Tried asking my db last night as he will be staying here but didnt look too impressed with the thought of it. Hasnt ever changed a nappy. He likes the playing and fun sides of being an uncle.

How are you all doing?

Pinkjenny · 01/08/2008 09:28

Am - did you get the picccies?

AprilMeadow · 01/08/2008 09:58

Bensonbluebird · 01/08/2008 10:59

Congratulations TYG! hope you are sleeping now.
Oisin is a lovely name (one of my BF's youngest is called Oisin too). Looking forward to hearing the story later.

All well in the Bluebird household. Sleep still a little patchy (N woke at 4.30 for a wee this morning and then A woke at 5.10 and needed at nappy change, didn't get them back to sleep after that, sigh)

Off to a show in the Festival this afternoon. I do have a life after all!

largeginandtonic · 01/08/2008 11:05

All that cooking yesterday musy have got things moving.

JamInMyWellies · 01/08/2008 11:34

HURRAH! Massive congrats to all the TYG family and well done TYG. Welcome to the wee man. xx

charleymouse · 01/08/2008 11:45

Woohoo TYG Go TYG Go TYG Go TYG

Congratulations to all the TYG family especially you TYG for doing all the hard work.

Waves madly at everyone. At home today as waiting for delivery which has just arrived. Must do some tidying up and cleaning soon though. If you see me post later please tell me to go clean.

Took DH to a spa session at Center Parcs last night for his birthday treat. As G had pox on his birthday it was a bit belated but it was wonderful. Dropped the kids at nursery and SIL picked them up and head them for us last night whilst we chilled out, or hotted up really . Feel very relaxed now although feeling shitty as suspected I might be preggers (feel really hot all the time and need to wee loads) (probably a UTI and the weather ) but no there is not much chance really and DH would not be impressed if I was anyhoo. Feel sad I will not be having anymore children. and miss the one I did have. Sorry having a shit day and just sat here crying and don't now why. Well I do but not now more than any other day.

MKG · 01/08/2008 13:23

YAY TYG!!

I was in shock when I read it. Next time let us know with, "hey guys I'm in labor I'll come back when the baby's born"
