Hi all. Back from a long weekend away in the Peaks. Off on hols next week so doing last bits and bobs for that. Have got flowergirl dresses for Tilly and Scarlett - they look so cute . I'm a bit concerned that Til's may be too small though come the end of November. I've told her that she's not allowed to grow anymore than an inch. I think she understood

Lups - sorry about your dad

CAQL - were you able to spout abuse back in French

PJ - how's Lexie's sleeping going ?

Hi to everyone else. Will go and catch up properly

Pinkjenny · 28/08/2008 15:05

Now you see, L doesn't like being under the duvet but she does like the pillow.

Oh, I don't know. There's no way in the world she'll go in a grobag, she has an absolute fit when I put her PJs on. Every night.

And to think I used to cry because I thought it was the harness.

Pinkjenny · 28/08/2008 15:09

LG&T is alive and well and arrived home. She is tidying the house.

SKYTVADDICT · 28/08/2008 15:27

Hi all

Just got first purchase from ebay which my dad bought for me as I haven't a clue! It is a cot quilt for Cs cot, and it came with a bumper and grobag which I shall be using for L. Never had one for C but am keen to give it a go as it will be winter.

Had my first morning "nearly alone" with the boys. Whilst feeding L, C fell off the computer chair! Oh the joys I have to come.
DD1 was upstairs so available to cuddle him - what will happen when they go back to school?

Cuddle.... SKY, you will have to adopt the non needy-baby training and put L in his bed.

Themasterandmargaritas · 28/08/2008 20:53

You will have to let him cry Sky.

MKG · 29/08/2008 00:17

Oh Sky, if there's no blood there's no problem. Next time tell the kid to "Man up"

TheGreatScootini · 29/08/2008 08:57

Pinkjenny · 29/08/2008 10:21

Scoot - what a bloody mare. You've had a right time of it lately! Soon we'll be together, watching 90210 and OTH.

L fell out of bed last night. The thud took years off my life, I swear to God. She's fine though, no trips to A&E required. Well, not yet.

AprilMeadow · 29/08/2008 14:15

but how can she fall out of a cot.........

i managed to get hold of a Wii Fit!!!!! Bye bye wobbly belly

AbbyLou · 29/08/2008 14:28

AM - well done on the Wii Fit purchase. We love ours. I must admit i do spend a rdidculous amount of time heading footballs and not so much doing muscle workouts!! When you have played enough hours to unlock the boxing that is really, really good exercise.
Happy wii fitting!!

AprilMeadow · 29/08/2008 15:04

just doing a batch of baking, then i can have a go on the WF.

SO far have made Choc Cookies and a lemon drizzle loaf is in the oven. Just fairy cakes left to make

MKG · 29/08/2008 16:53

AM doesn't the baking conflict with the Wii Fit?

Please allow me to take the lemon drizzle loaf off your hands.

AprilMeadow · 29/08/2008 16:59

Well...... i had promised Jack that we would do some baking and in turn J promised his daddy some choc cookies.

AbbyLou · 29/08/2008 17:17

Wow you've done well AM - you're a proper little SAHM now!
I bet Jack will love the WF too, Charlie does. He loves the heading, slalom skiing and hula hoop. Some of them are a bit tricky for little ones but he's soon got it - he's even got his own Mii and it looks just like him!

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/08/2008 17:36

What the heck is all this Wii business? What is wrong with a good run outside, in the fresh air, you know, as God intended?? SOH where are you, I know you will back me up

Now the baking, that's a whole different thing all together. Elizabeth can now make a mean lemon drizzle

Scoot, sorry to hear you are poorly again, gosh you and the family are really being hit hard by the lurgies this year aren't you? Shame you couldn't give it to the in-laws when you having your cosy week away, then you would never have been invited back again, just think, it's the perfect solution. Oh and it should help you shed a few pounds (not that you need it natch )

AprilMeadow · 29/08/2008 19:25

TMAM i have some sandals that i bought for Jack but didnt wear. They are from next, they will be a bit big for J for a while as they are a 9 but if you would like them i can put them aside with Jack's wellies and send them over all together...

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/08/2008 20:16

Lovely April, thanks a lot. Gosh Jack must have big feet as ds1 is only just a 9.5!

We are away to our posh wedding tomorrow, should be fun.

MKG · 30/08/2008 16:22

Hello all, where is everyone, its never this quiet on here lol

We have had a bit of excited here today. First of all there was a stabbing just round the corner at 1am. not sure of the details yet but due to the amount of gossips round here im sure I'll find out soon enough and then just after 1pm today we had an Air Ambulance land in the car park at the end of my garden. At first we didnt know what was going on, there was a loud noise, the floors shook and Jordan fell off his ladder (not sure what he was doing up there though) Dh jumped out the bath and ran into the kitchen, I grabbed Ethan and went to follow only dh had dripped water everywhere and so I slipped up banging my knee and elbow and smacking Ethans head against the door frame (bloody laminate flooring)When I finally got to the kitchen and saw what it was I took the kids out to watch, there were lots of people out there but we had front row seat Our back wall has been knocked down and so we had a clear view! It turned out that a 5/6 month old baby had been badly hurt, he was taken to hospital by an ordinary ambulance in the end but his leg was in a splint and he was on oxygen, dont know what happened, poor thing. When the helicopter took off we filmed it on Dh's phone, the boys thought it was great, a bit windy though lol. We thought that was the end of the excitement but then three policemen and some adults went running down an alleyway after a man, apparantly hes a known peado and had been caught filming the children in the crowd/ Hope he didnt film mine, Id seen him watching Alana on the trampoline a few times but didnt take much notice because she was laughing so much every now and again people were watching and laughing at her. Think i will make a call to the council tomorrow anyway and tell them I want the new wall built asap, its been 2wks since they knocked it down and no ones been back since. I want my privacy back especially with weirdos like him around.

On a lighter note we have booked our holiday courtesy of Tesco and their clubcard points Between MIL, Dh's Aunty, SIL and myself we have enough points to pay for a 2wk all-inclusive holiday for us costing £2500, a weeks Haven holiday for Dh's aunty £500 and a holiday abroad for SIL. We are going here if you click on read more you can see why we chose it, the kids will have a great time, free ice cream, mini fair etc. Apparantly people often return year after year so it must be nice. Now all I need to do is find some nice summery clothes that will fit me 6wks time lol

AprilMeadow · 01/09/2008 11:36

Good Morning!

Been to Silverstone this weekend to watch the Touring Cars. Sat was lovely although my stupid sat nav took me on the pretty countryside route and avoided every single motorway! Dh got there in 1hr 20mins and i got there in 3 hours! Weather was beautiful for the practice and qualifying sessions so that was good. Children slept well at the hotel and were up nice and early which on this occasion was fab as we needed to be at the track for 8.30/9ish for breakfast etc. We were doing really well for time until i got a call from dh saying that Ella was projectile vomming in the back of his car! I think the milk may have turned as i was having to use an ice pack to keep it cool as there was no fridge in the room. Took 15 mins to clean her up and get her changed before we could head off again. We went the back way there and missed all the traffic which was great. Got there at about 9am. Started to rain just before the 1st race and we sog nice and wet - luckily i had packed raincovers, waterproof jackets and wellies for the kids as a just incase
Our driver did really well in the first and second races but because he had done well and also because he had some of the bigger boys behind him in the last race it meant that he lost his position pretty quickly. Still he finished all 3 races and even got points in the independants table.

Took another 3hours to get home as we got stuck in the carpark for 45mins before we could even get out! Got home at 9pm and put the kiddies straight to bed - they both went through and are tired but full of beans this morning.

I have dh's friend coming to stay for a few days and she arrives in a few hours. I have the entire house to clean as the kids have managed to trash it in record time!

Wow Pebble it was all going on by you yesterday then!

If anyone is around on Sunday early pm and wants to come for tea and cake with LG&T, PJ and me then you are more than welcome

ShowOfHands · 01/09/2008 11:39

Did anybody notice I was missing? Anybody?

I'm back with bells on.

Haven't caught up yet but did notice the Wii Fit debate. Yes, go outside, really it's very lovely. TMAM, was thinking about you yesterday. Was reading Maggie O'Farrell's latest effort and the children in it have an 'ayah' called Jamila. She dies. It's all very tragic.

So, what's new?
