Mornin!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MKG · 26/08/2008 19:27

Oh and my official due date is March 8th.

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/08/2008 19:41

Great news MKG, the higher the heart rate the more likely it is a girl Uhhhmmmm or is it the other way round?? I seem to have lost my brain cells along with most of my hair.

I am tired out just thinking about your day...

So I have put a picture of the new do on my profile for you all to admire laugh at. Now I just need Posh's thinness tan and I will be all set.

Your turn now April.

Abby thank you, H will be 6 at Christmas so yes, in the UK would have done reception. We haven't done very much reading yet as it always ends in tears, but now I have some ideas on the best way to go about doing it with him we'll give it a good go. The ORT stage 1 books? Should we skip them and get the stage 1+ then? I have all the jolly phonic books to do the letter sounds and am going to get the first 100 words printed off. Sorry to ask more questions but unlike me I feel a little worried about it.
Of course I blame SOH with her blessed literature skills, for my sudden lousy mum thoughts panic to get H started.

Ohhh send us a photo of the two new barnets then.

cravingaquietlife · 26/08/2008 20:22

Sorry, took me so long to write my last post inbetween a difiant sleeping Jorja and a lounge full of house mites guests. I missed a load.

MKG such good news on the scan, placing my chips on Pink too.

TMAM, fab hair. Looking gorgeous as ever.

Over to you AM

MKG · 26/08/2008 20:29

Ok pie is in the oven. Oh by the way, I woke up this morning with my shirt soaked and the bed sheet soaked too. I think I lactated in my sleep. Either that or I drool a lot.

AbbyLou · 27/08/2008 07:51

CQL yes I would miss out Stage 1 (the grey ones) as they are mostly pictures only. Although I would normally say this is a vital stage of reading it is probably well beyond H to tell a stroy using pictures only. A few of the last ones have the odd word but I really think they would be a waste of money. The 1+ level hava about 1 sentence on each page so tell a story but are not too challenging for beginners.

AprilMeadow · 27/08/2008 09:54

Looking good TMAM! Just trying to take a pic using the laptop camera.

Great news on the scan and i definately have my money on a pink one

I am just preparing the dinner! I have my slow cooker all ready.... at least if it all goes wrong i have plenty of time to make something else

AprilMeadow · 27/08/2008 10:08

There you go!

Pinkjenny · 27/08/2008 10:34

Good hair ladies, good hair.

AbbyLou · 27/08/2008 11:17

Lovely hair girls - I need some serious inspiration for mine!

Pinkjenny · 27/08/2008 11:37

Me too Abby - mine just hangs there and does nothing. I have hair ishoos today as I had to straighten it while Alexa was screaming her nuts off in her cot, so its not quite as straight as I'd like.

It's quite big. Big hair today.

AbbyLou · 27/08/2008 12:06

Me too Pink, you can tell I couldn't be arsed this morning as mine is up in a ponytail and I HATE it like that. Mine is very long at the mo, far too long but haven't had time to get it cut. I have no fringe and have toyed with the idea of having one cut back in but I've always chickened out. It needs a good 4/5 inches off it altogether.

Pinkjenny · 27/08/2008 12:34

It's interesting, I was wondering the other day whether my 'pony tail days' are over. But who can be faffed with anything other than 'down' or 'up' in the morning!

I tried a side fringe for a while, but as my hair is so curly, it was too high maintenance and needed to be straightened all the faffing time.

MKG · 27/08/2008 12:36

OK I wear a ponytail everyday as I hate having my hair down, and I hate it when it's short. I consider the ponytail to be my signature look.

MKG · 27/08/2008 12:39

Don't even talk to me about haircuts though. I donated my hair back in April and when they cut it off it was longer in the front and short in the back which is a look I liked, but now it is super long in the front and pretty short in the back. I don't know what to do about it. I'll probably chop it all off. That's what I do I let it grow, I get bored, I chop it off, I hated it, I let it grow.

Someone stop this vicious cycle!

ShowOfHands · 27/08/2008 12:42

Jeez you lot can talk about hair.

Themasterandmargaritas · 27/08/2008 12:44

Doesn't look quite as good this morning after trying it at home.

April nice kitchen colour!

Themasterandmargaritas · 27/08/2008 12:45

just don't get them started on pushchairs or we'll be here til next year.

MKG · 27/08/2008 13:53

LOL at the word pushchair. It's a stroller. I get the idea that a pushchair is a wheelchair to push old people around in.

AbbyLou · 27/08/2008 14:27

Ruby is obsessed with pushing her baby in hers and she calls it an airpush! She stands shouting airpush, airpush until one of us gets it out for her. Then she says dandoo (thankyou) - it's so cute!

Pinkjenny · 27/08/2008 14:39

LOL at airpush.

Alexa loves her 'baby'. She cuddles it and says, 'aaw baby', and pats its back. Gorgeous.

She prefers to try and get in the pushchair herself.

AprilMeadow · 27/08/2008 16:41

Haha, Ella does that as well PJ. She climbs in then signals to us that she wants to be pushed around in it!

Oh and i have just become a student!! I have signed up to do my Certificate in Personnel Practice (Human Resources). I start on the 8th Sept. Its every Monday 2-9.15pm until March.

MKG · 27/08/2008 18:00

Where is LG&T? Isn't it time for her 20 week scan soon?

AprilMeadow · 27/08/2008 18:25

I'm not sure if she is back from her hols yet.... will drop her a text
