I ignored him and hes gone quiet again! Also ignoring big 2 in the garden, don't want to send them to bed till they're really tired otherwise they will definitely wake D up again with their yattering!

POTC - sorry you're still feeling rough.

Dippy - forgetting to take the abs sounds like just the sort of thing I do! Normally I forget to collect them for a few days and then ofetn forget to finishe the course or at least end up taking the last couple of days worth over 3 or 4 days whenever I remember Very norty.

He just started crying and then stopped again Hoping its just a bit of tooth pain or something and the calpol will kick in soon and its not that hes now waking up!

Going to go grab a glass of wine while I've got 5 mins peace!

Pisha · 24/07/2008 20:24

I tried that Dippy, it didn't work!

CaptainDippy · 24/07/2008 20:27

Evening

Oooh Elkie, another blue bean ; how lovely . Glad all went ok today.x

Pisha, what clever dc you have ! Funnily enough, Dh had planned to spend the summer teaching B to cycle without stabilisers. She came in he other day to say she could do it, and she could!

POTC, have you recently started taking the pill again recently? Just wondered if your headaches were related?

SPB, glad T is on the mend.

All ok here. First day of school hols and B is still alive!

Pisha · 24/07/2008 22:44

Oh potc just thought - the virus maia had that landed her in hospital involved very bad headaches and when Nathan had it all he had was a bad headache for a day or 2. Then I had horrible unbearable headache for few days which didnt clear up till the saturday evening when you were here and then Jamie had it for couple of days just before we went on holiday so I expect you have same thing. Maia had it with v bad head, non stop vomiting and temp. D had temp and a little vomiting and presumably headache too, me, J and N just the head so is more than likely same thing you and J now have. Sorry The only thing I took that even touched the headache were the massive ibuprofen I'd just had prescribed for my back, paracetamol did nothing and on friday night when you turned up even the ibuprofen weren't working which is why I was dozing on sofa when you turned up! Headache was front of head and also in my neck, shoulders and back of head. Maia was same which was why they worried about meningitis with the stiff neck thing. It is horrible, I hope it clears up soon for you and J and that M misses it.

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2008 07:16

Completely misread the boy news of elkie's, for some reason I thought you had asked not to be told!
Wonderful news that it's a boy , am very now

AngeG · 25/07/2008 08:16

Morning

Elkie - Glad the test went ok yesterday and great news about it being a boy! Kepp taking it easy.

Dippy - Hope you get to speak to the doctor today. The others are right you have been unwell for a long time. Hope you're better soon.

POTC - PMSL at M's snot comment Hope you're feeling better soon.

Pehsa - Lovely holiday pics. I've been having a nosey on facebook! Great at D swinging on his own. Izzy loves being on the swings too!

Weather looks a bit overcast here today I'm off to have my hair cut later, my wonderful Dad is looking after DC for me

Hope everyone has a good day. xx

mammyjo · 25/07/2008 09:10

Morning all

I have worked the last two days and it has been fine. My boss has been lovely to me (bit too lovely imo!). It has actually been quite nice to see all my work mates and have civilised adult conversation for a couple of days tbh!

Oooggs, don't feel bad about the text. Was lovely that you were thinking of me Hope you got a better sleep last night.

Eddas, that someone nicked your cat converter. Some people. Glad you got it all sorted anyway. Have a good night out tonight xxx

Dooby, I really feel for you with your SPD so bad. Are you getting any physio for it? Don't really know what to suggest as it is not something I have ever had to put up with. Really hope things improve for you soon xxx

SOL, we are having going to bed issues with ds atm. He will go up at his usual time, then reappear within half an hour with excuses for why he can't sleep! I have no patience at all. I love my evening quiet time and am very protective of it!!

Dippy, hope you get things sorted soon. Being ill long term is horrific and really drags you down.

Elkie, glad everything went ok with your test. Lovely news that you are expecting another boy Take it easy xxx

Ange, enjoy your hair cut

POTC, have a good evening out if you are well enough to go

That's it for now. Not sure what to do today as it is raining yet again. Tbh I am quite pleased to see the rain, my hayfever has been horrendous for the last couple of days so I am hoping the rain will dampen the pollen down a bit! I would never normally be glad to see the rain that's for sure!

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2008 09:12

Morning
Just off to hang my washing out so I hope we don't get your rain
T was up at 6.30, first nap at 8.50

NorthernLurker · 25/07/2008 09:15

Morning

SPB - if the weather here is any indication for you your washing is safe!

The dds and I are waiting in for a delivery and then we may go into town. Yesterday we got dd1's new bike - very exciting! It is much bigger than her old one as it's taken me so long to get round to getting it that she's skipped one whole size She can manage fine on it though.

CaptainDippy · 25/07/2008 10:04

Morning all! Still coughing like a good 'un; but feeling marginally better, nose not so blocked up, which is nice

NorthernLurker · 25/07/2008 10:22

morning - have you rung the docs yet?

CaptainDippy · 25/07/2008 10:38

I can only make same day appts with my dr and there's no way I can get there today so there's no point calling. Might try tomorrow to slot into Sat morning clinic while Ben has the girls. How's you sweetie?

NorthernLurker · 25/07/2008 10:56

I'm fine thanks. Got an interview in a couple of weeks for another job - eeeek!

Sexonlegs · 25/07/2008 10:59

Dippy, are you going to be ok for tomorrow??? I really hope so. x

CaptainDippy · 25/07/2008 11:00

Exciting - what job!!?

NorthernLurker · 25/07/2008 11:11

Same place as I work now, next band up from me but basically a similar job - with hopefully a bit more freedom to run my own ship! Quite excited tbh.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/07/2008 11:20

So I can blame you then pisha

Does sound exactly like what we're experiencing.

Have sent Eddas a text, don't think it's a good idea for me to go down there tonight, head still pounding, J is going to Justin if he's well but I don't want to be too far away in case he gets worse. And Eddas doesn't sound too bright herself!

In case anyone notices, I've had a few of my posts deleted because I still have someone reading after I thought they'd long since buggered off

Poor POTC

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/07/2008 11:36

Too late Dippy - I came to see you the weekend after I'd been to see Pisha, and must have had it lurking then.....

In fact, might be part of what's up with you?

OP posts:
Eddas · 25/07/2008 11:36

HI ladies

POTC, i've lost my mobile so wn't get any texts should be replaced in the next few days but atm am feeling liberated without it. I was thinking you'd probably not want to come now really hope you feel better soon. My throat is buring still so i think I may drive tonight as i'm not sure shed load of vodka will do it much good

CD/SOL, i'm not going to make the meet up tomorrow as I do not trust my car to make it all that way. We're having it serviced on tuseday and am hoping they sort it out Also, with all that happened on wed my pockets are pretty empty so not sure I can really afford to do it either Maybe we can arrange something later in the holidays?

Sorry, i haven't caught up with everyone i'm at work so should get off mn really

oh and my week hasn't improved much. Yesterday I bought dd a new necklace. She decided to post it through the seatbelt hole in the car which jammed the mechanism so it wouldn't move and it was the driver side so I then had to spend about an hour fishing around trying to get the bloody thing out and fix the seatbelt so i cold drive today.

Next week this'll all be funny accept next monday is 5 years since my mum died and she died on a monday so theis weekend 5 years ago was the worst ever and memrories of what happened are everywhere.

sorry, don't mean to depress everyone, I am just feeling a bit sorry for myself Please feel free to administer a slap or too >>>

PillockOfTheCommunity · 25/07/2008 11:39

oh Eddas

I haven't actually asked for your address so would have struggled to get to you if you haven't got your mobile either

or maybe that was your plan...
