Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
EachPeachPearMum · 25/09/2008 13:29

am poorly, have a chest infection. Coughing so much all my ribs hurt like they've been cracked
Have slept all morning.
Baby is going to come out like scrambled egg

Night vision goggle an excellent idea! I would have LOVED those
we always wanted a metal detector too!
Is a rock tumbler like a professional one to polish rocks? Maybe he is a little too young (isn't DS1 5?)

WeDoTheWeirdStuff · 25/09/2008 13:33

def not too young - he is a very old 5 yr old

mustrunmore · 25/09/2008 14:40

Is he?! Will take that as a compliment! Nat Geog do a kids type one, but still good quality etc.Its a bit pricey though. £25. But if I can find it on ammazon, its ok with my voucher.

WeDoTheWeirdStuff · 25/09/2008 17:43

He is His emotions and body etc are 5yr old, but his brain works like an older person

mustrunmore · 25/09/2008 18:58

omg. Took ds1 to a party, stopped off at charity shop wiht a bag of atuff on the way there. Found a new and boxed pair of the exact nat geog night vision goggles that I was thinknig of getting him So got them! Wthout him seeing! And got him the pirateology book as new for 3.45. And got ds2 the Wall-e book for 95p. So only gotta get ds1 something that equates to ds2's dino track, and we're sorted

EachPeachPearMum · 25/09/2008 19:57

it must be serendipity!
I love it when things like that happen

EachPeachPearMum · 25/09/2008 20:46

btw- congrats on the Spa thing! Yay!

Frizbe · 25/09/2008 22:23

yay MRM, its great when things like that happen

CSWS yay for carpet and karndean!

I text far too much too.....been halloween shopping with Meridian tonight, the kids are so not going to get up for school properly tomorrow, didn't get back till 9pm..... Asda's great for cheap stuff tho, have got shop window dressings sorted and both dd's dressing up outfits for Halloween/assorted birthday parties that week alas what I really should have been doing, is our accounts as the vat return needs sending in before the end of the month, so shall be cracking on with that tomorrow.....

Phoenix · 25/09/2008 22:28

Just a quick hello before mn goes down.

for charity shop bargains. I went in our local one today, to ask if they wanted some cd's, dvd's, video's and book's, and ds saw an old fisher price garage that he wanted. It was only £1 but i didn't have any money with me. If it's still in tomorrow i think i'll get him it. My brother used to have 1 the same

Frizbe · 25/09/2008 22:29

MRM just read about the Spa, congratulations!

Phoenix · 25/09/2008 22:30

Hi Friz, yay for Hallowe'en stuff, i was looking in Asda in Cornwall last week they have some great stuff

mustrunmore · 26/09/2008 11:14

Ooo, did you see the scary butler figure in Asda thats apparently scaring the crap out of everyone's kids?! Am I mean for wanting to go to see the boys' reactions??

Just been to TEscos and got the anatomical human torso thing for Dad to give ds1 for his birthday

aeao · 26/09/2008 19:23

@ neighbour! I was more there

aeao · 26/09/2008 19:50

, there was meant to be a after that

I have been thinking the same with the scary asda thing

Phoenix · 26/09/2008 19:56

So do you have a new name everyday?

aeao · 26/09/2008 20:00

Keeps ya on your toes

EachPeachPearMum · 26/09/2008 20:36

Well, we still know who are (I hope)

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/09/2008 10:58

Boo!
Just signing in so that mrm doesn't need to stalk me to check whether I'm in labour or not .

mustrunmore · 27/09/2008 14:03

Lol.

Er, how come I always seem to know its you Flame, even if not read anything under that postinbg name?

Took ds1 to ASda today. Did need to get those £6 bootcut jeans for dh (supberb value!), but didi also want to see if ds1 was scared of the halloween butler (see relevent thread)... he was terrified!

Doctorpuss · 27/09/2008 17:30

ooh I was out when I got the text and forgot to reply!

We don't appear to have a butler

Will try the other asda next week

EachPeachPearMum · 27/09/2008 19:34

CSWS- so- no signs yet? It's getting v close now! (was DD over?) Hope you're getting plenty of rest.

We went to the Safari Park today, and had a lovely, though tiring day. DD is conked out (about 20 mins ago) but she really enjoyed herself. The giraffes were gorgeous- wandering slowly between the cars, and bobbing down to nuzzle hello to everyone, awwww.

Did too much driving though- my pelvis is very sore now- did about 4.5 hours altogether I think. AM having an early night, I will, I will!

Doctorpuss · 27/09/2008 20:32

Most people seem to know it is me btw. Freakiest thing is when people reply calling me Flame (not on here, on here it makes sens that it is me)

Yay for good but tiring day

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/09/2008 22:51

No, no signs EPPM. He's had a very quiet day today, but thankfully had a bit of a wriggle during dh's b'day dinner to reassure me that he's there and ok. DD was 6 days late, and I really have no expectation of giving birth before my due date this time. Will ask for a sweep on Monday though when I'm at clinic, and have booked to see community midwife on Friday for another - such optimism!

EachPeachPearMum · 28/09/2008 20:47

Am I being dim? What exactly is a sweep?
I thought it was where they break the amniotic sac for you??????

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/09/2008 21:04

God no, they don't break anything! They just stick their fingers up and literally 'sweep' them over the membranes.
