Why oh why would you spend £200 on a bloody iron???

Phoenix · 18/08/2008 21:31

and for breech baby.

Poor ds Jas, they just don't learn do they?

Have you seen Flame's thread from this morning? This one.

EachPeachPearMum · 18/08/2008 21:48

Jas- sorry, missed your post- {big hug} for DS, poor thing.

damewashalot · 19/08/2008 08:19

Guessing I've missed loads, will try and read a bit later.

At hospital yesterday, murmer has been confirmed, he had to have an ECG, bless him he's so tiny, but that was ok. has been refered to a cardiologist who should be able to give us more idea of which sort it is. Good news though he had put on loads of weight, 24oz in 3wks glad I ignored my hv.

In Wales getting wet last week but did manage couple of beach days

Hamlet was wonderful on Saturday, david Tennant is very good as is Patrick Stewart

mustrunmore · 19/08/2008 08:38

Omg at flame's thread!
Jas, ds2 is getting quite bloody lately too , in a literal sense. After his spectacular 'big bash' as he calls it, he went to the loo yesterday and pulled the huge scab off his knee when he pulled his knickers down! Alot of blood! That was just before he locked himself in the cubicle

I really need some weekend-job ideas ladies, as I'm on a roll now I've actually got an up to date cv and some enthusiasm!

How much ironing justifies £200 on an iron then? Jeez!

EachPeachPearMum · 19/08/2008 10:23

Frizbe -congratulations! You made 'tip pf the day'

My friend has one of those irons- she says they really maske ironing much easier!

Flame- you need to be hiring Flameboy out to circuses I think! Or getting a documentary made on him.... making his own toast don't think dd would even know where the bread was!
Thank goodness all was well though.

Dame- GREAT weight gain -must be super milk! Hopefully the murmer will be nothing serious- didn't know about mine until I was late teens, and it has never caused any problems sports/exercise wise.

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2008 20:16

Yay for weight gain dame!
Fingers crossed for ecg results.

I think that baby may have turned again.

Jas · 20/08/2008 08:14

I hope you are right csws

As I almost never iron, I think I've only just done enough to justify the £5 value on I bought, and most of that was ironing hama beads!

@ Flameboy. Glad things are ok. Could have been so much worse. (Smoke alarm duly checked.)

Dame - god to see you. for the weight gain. Fingers crossed for good news from the caerdio.

I had a very tiring and mixed day out yesterday. dp decided I should drop him off and pick him up from work, which added 3 hours in the car to an already long day. The job he is doing is not going well (he took a job doing stuff he hates because we are desperate for the money and now it is taking too long and he will probably not finish anyway

We spent the day at PWP yesterday in the rain. dd2 came home in a 5 yr old boys bclothes, and he wore ds' clothes home!

Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 19:33

Argh for your rain, iron and baby turning antics CSWS

A documentary about flameboy.... interesting concept.

Today I am just generally fuming - customer got arsey with me and accused me of lying to her (long drawn out story that I obv can't go public about, but you can be assured I was clear about EVERYTHING, no lying ), period a week early so I have hormone overload and it ties in for me to be flooding everywhere for caravan weekend with NappiesGalore

Just wanna sit and cry really.

I have no idea how much of me not coping though is down to coming off the ADs

OP posts:
Jas · 20/08/2008 19:49

Why are you off the ads?

Also much sympathy for dodgy customer and feeling bad.

Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 20:18

Hmm, should leave MN for the night, am bitching at kerrymum.

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 20/08/2008 20:52

Yes, what are you doing off the ADs? You've barely been on them 5 minutes!

Thanks for lovely day mrm. The boys obviously wore dd out, as she fell asleep on the way home and refused to be woken when we got back. Left a bit of chicken in tin foil in your fridge btw, so get dh to eat it for you!
Off to start your freaky toy thread now - will link in a min.

mustrunmore · 20/08/2008 20:59

Lol, not found the stray chicken yet!
Were you still here when ds2 got trapped in the treadmill? Well, after that he was climbing up the wall by the back door to see our neighbour, and he pulled the entire scab off his knee. Ther e was blood pouring out literally, and patches all over the settee now
Friend came, helped him with ebay, and v glad as he pointed out a couple of bits to put on the new version of the cv!!

Flame, i'm in disbelief yet again, as I came on about 8 or 9 days early this time. I keep putting all this crap (altho dh reckons the nausea is related to the foot thing) down to early menopause. But actually, its 100% your vibes coming my way, isnt it?! Seriuosly though, no logical reason to worry bout bad timing with caravan; its not camping in the raw, so should be no worries Trite sounding, but you know what I mean.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/08/2008 21:06

Here you go mrm.

Yes, there for treadmill trapping, but not for blood - yuk!

Phoenix · 20/08/2008 21:18

Hello

Pmsl at the photo of Pippa and Bram on your profile csws. He does not look impressed with her trying to kiss him

No idea what the figure is

I've put Lewis' name on a waiting list today for a toddler gym class. I'll make an olympic gymnast of him . He can do forward rolls already. Dh thinks it's just for girls. It just sounds like a toddler group really but it goes to a gymanastic class at age 4+

EachPeachPearMum · 20/08/2008 21:27

Sorry mrm- took me ages to figure out what a treadmill was.... was thinking of mangles for some reason

Flame- seems a little early to come off the ads, surely?

Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 21:29

ouch for scab ripping

gym class sounds good

far tmi alert, but the period thing is because i can't use tampons due to pain, mooncup hurts lately too, and i wanted to go swimming I was using these softcup things but i'm out. tissy is posting some but they may not arrive in time. Plus the whole sharing a bed with 2 kids during period ain't fun.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 21:29

it is early to come off the ads, but i had to. wil hopefully get some different ones

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 20/08/2008 21:35

What were you on?
Sometimes you just need the right ones for you IYSWIM, and the wrong ones really make things worse.

Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 21:55

Lol this is getting silly - i can't keep emailing you all separately!

Coil is coming out, I can't have the ADs I was on (which were working soooooooo well) in my system to get pregnant. Dr won't prescribe pregnancy safe ones until I am actually depressed and pregnant (for reasons undiscovered...).

Not telling you all exactly when the coil is coming out or when I am starting trying. You will know before I do a main thread announcing though

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 20/08/2008 21:59

Well you kept that quiet a long time!

Flamesparrow · 20/08/2008 22:08

It was gonna get bloody silly! Plus I couldn't remember EPPM's email address

OP posts:
Jas · 20/08/2008 23:02

Well that sounds like a good enough reason, but am that you haven't already shared this info!

You know what? I don't want any more at all. There is no glimmer of an urge at all
It is quite nice to know I am done, cuddle babies and give them back.

Glad you solved the action fugure mystery. He is really quite freaky.

Toddler gym sounds like fun
DS can't do forward rolls (or make toast). Just when I was getting proud of his development I get shown up again
He does have a fresh cut lip and huge graze on his arm which would probably compete with minimrms injuries though.

mustrunmore · 21/08/2008 07:34

Oh FFS. You know how the telly was all random colours csws? Well, now its the same randomn colours... but on a blank screen. Picture totally gone. I now have potentially a week of 2 boys and no telly at all, until my Dad brings down the little one from Mum's spare room. Argh! And actually, I forgot to ask hewr id she's even got a scart input; prob nor knowing her.
Btw, I'm thinking of cancelling SAt, for many very long and dul lreasons. Quandry.

Flame, you are quite mad and Jas I'm very relieved to hgear you've had enough. I just cant get the point of this many-kids lunacy!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/08/2008 07:53

DVDs on the computer mrm.
