Isabellasmam - I used to use the 3 yawn rule but now she goes down the first time she rubs eyes. But I think the problem is she is so nosy and doesn't want to miss anything.

Filly - We are much the same here and don't go to bed much before midnight especially if DH has worked a late shift. DD has not tried protein yet either, think I will waitv till we are back and give lentils, chicken etc then.

Housemum - DD is wingeing and rolling around her cot as I type

lilyloo · 11/08/2008 13:17

Oh Isabellas that is a little far isn't it!

Well dd asleep in the car after doing the shopping which means she is going to want her lunch just about when dd has her swimming lesson and not sure there will be much suitable in the vending machine

Will have to take some of yesterdays roast dinner and boobie will travel

Am sooooooooo at lo's sleeping through i am so desperate for just one full nights sleep. And dd has only had one feed today since her feed at 5 am think i ma going to resort to giving water in the night as this is all the wrong way round!

Hey I'm only about 1hr from Liverpool ya know. lol

DD sleeps at night normally. Although last night was horrible. I couldn't get to sleep till 1:30 and DD was up at 4 [yawn]
She's a pain to make sleep during the day as well and its harder cos DP is in bed so I can't just let her winge.

gingeme · 11/08/2008 14:36

Yey our tele is here and its mahooooosive Going to buy a wall bracket for it soon so there are no more little finger prints all over it like the last one.
Clown Town was good thanks Filly. Wasn't too busy so the boys had the run of the place so to speak. Maybe that would be a good place for a meet up. They have a place especialy for very little babys. Wouldn't know how to do directions though. I'll have a think and let you know.
I usualy put George down for a sleep when Edward goes down about 10.30. Hell sleep for a good hour maybe 2 . He doesn't realy do a nap in the afternoon unless we are out and about in the car. If were at home in the afternoon hell start getting sleepy about 4.30 which is a pain because he has his tea at 5
Well off to Comet to look for a wall bracket now.

Oh my word is there a nobel price for services to mothers? My friend has just dropped off her bumbo for Nathan to use. He is insanely happy. Priceless I will be able to have him sit up without holding him!

Even more happy: New childminder friend in church has said yes to having nathan when I go back to work. Her idea of childminding babies is lots of hugs and play and nice eats, perfect. So happy

gingeme · 11/08/2008 14:57

Brilliant madmouse.
Just uploaded some new pics of us at the wedding Friday.

Lovely pics gingeme - you must have been a proud mummy that day!

MM - my train gets in a 10.18. I am on facebook ostensibly but I've no clue how to use it. ??

Hi to all. Absolutely cream crackered today!

gingeme · 11/08/2008 17:18

Thankyou ladies. The suits were a little bit big but I gave up trying to turn the sleeves up as they just kept falling down. We have another wedding in November. They will probably fit by then.
I had a bit of a spend up on Ebay and bought George some thicker clothes 9-12 months. Tried them up against him. They would probably fit him now
Well Dh is drilling holes in the wall with an audience of three little boys. Bet theyre just itching to 'help' . Don't think so somehow. xx

lilyloo · 11/08/2008 17:20

LaTrucha saw your post but in the same boat so nothing to add other than my 'tired' sympathys!

LaTrucha · 11/08/2008 17:58

Thanks Lily - it's the wakefulness from 5am that kills me. I wouldn't mind a quick feed and back to sleep.

simpson · 11/08/2008 18:27

Have just had total melt down from both Dcs going to bed. They are down already

Have ordered myself a takeaway for dinner tonight as a treat because DH is away. He is staying in Canterbury tonight then cycling to Dover for Ferry then the cycle to Holland begins

LuckySalem · 11/08/2008 18:43

Simpson - Enjoy your evening.

DD has fallen asleep on the sofa just as dinner is getting ready so i've turned everything down and will give her a quick half hour.

simpson · 11/08/2008 19:13

Ahhhh

Think I must have jinxed things earlier by saying DD is a good sleeper She has screamed herself to sleep bless her Was screaming when I held her and screaming in cot. Don't think anything was wrong with her just over tired but she had only been awake just over an hour But at least she is asleep now...

gingeme · 11/08/2008 19:24

All quiet here now. Everyone asleep .
Simpson is your dh doing this cycle for charity or something?

simpson · 11/08/2008 19:38

Gingeme - all quiet here too finally

No he is not doing it for charity my 21 year old brother is at uni in Leicester and takes his cycling quite seriously, belongs to club and competes in some races etc. He wanted to cycle to Holland (last yr the 2 of them did the same but to France) and my DH is keeping him company again. It is quite tough going but he does enjoy it. I think he is mad personally and a holiday is for resting

gingeme · 11/08/2008 20:08

Oh wow. Good on him. I can't even ride a bike

LuckySalem · 11/08/2008 20:09

All quiet here too. I left DD to sleep on sofa for 1/2 hr but she wouldn't wake up again. She's gone to bed with not eating since 4pm.

madmouse · 11/08/2008 20:10

LOL Gingeme, being Dutch I had not for one second clocked that what Simpson's dh is doing is unusual or for charity . My dh used to go on holiday with his cousin cycling from Holland through Belgium and Luxemburg with camping gear stopping somewhere else every night. The Dutch actually call it a cycling holiday

Nathan likes avocado, mashed with a bit of my milk (anyone else whipping out a boob in the kitchen to let down purees feel like a freak sometimes .

madmouse · 11/08/2008 20:11

Lucky do you think she will wake up for food before you go to bed? or will she wake you.

LuckySalem · 11/08/2008 20:13

I dont know what to do with her. I'm worried about waking her up when I go to bed (around 10pm normally) in case it wakes her properly IYKWIM. But I feel just awful expecting her to go from 4pm to 7am with nothing in her belly.

simpson · 11/08/2008 20:32

Lucky - how much did she have at 4pm. If she had loads it might do. If you woke her for a bottle would she go back to sleep again with no fuss?

LuckySalem · 11/08/2008 21:01

Simpson - I don't know if she'd just settle after her bottle or wake up and think its playtime.

She didn't have a bottle at 4 she had a rusk and a bottle of juice to tide her till 7pm. The last bottle she had was at around 2:30/3 and was 8oz.

The food is now part of her routine and she normally has dinner at 7 then bottle at 8 then bed so its nothing unusual apart from fact she's gone to sleep.

Today has been quite wierd in foodwise cos I went back to bed and DP sorted her so today she's had a bottle at 7am, then brekkie at 10am followed by a kip till bottle at 12pm (8oz) more sleep and bottle at 2:30/3ish then rusk and 5oz of juice after shopping at around 4pm. Then sleep from about 6:30.

Normally she has bottle at 7, brekkie at 8 sleep then bottle at 12 lunch at 1, sleep, bottle at 5, dinner at 7, bottle at 8.

She's really not had normal food today.
