how long after doing the test did the line appear Natty?

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 19:00

about 6 mins, and test says five.. does that mean it doesnt count?

foxythesnowfox · 18/07/2008 19:03

Nooo, cos you don't get evaporation lines after 6 minutes - after an hour or two maybe.

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 19:07

its so so faint though, dont think i will be dancing just yet. they are 10mui strength dip ones, and the last time i was pregnant the dip lines were always faint ones. going to buy a first responce tomorrow, so wish me luck lol

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 19:13

congrats Natty. That's great news. I only got very faint lines with DD - but as far as I know, any line at all is a positive.

So who's next?

I have hired a nanny today , well more of a mother's help really although she also works as a nanny. I am just SO exhausted with my 2, they never stop and I was getting really stressed about coping over the hols. She has a Dd who's 2 weeks older than DD who will come too. She's coming to do a trial on Monday and if it goes well then she'll come every Monday over the holidays. I really, really hope it works. The DCs did seem to really like her and she seemed so nice - I am going to call her references tonight but my gut tells me it's the right thing to do so I am following that. I am going to avoid the sales to help pay for her (and eat nothing but beans all summer, if necessary)

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 19:16

lol fairy that sounds lovely i think i will be needing that this summer, pregnant and two terrible toddlers!! but im pleased.

Bumperlicious · 18/07/2008 19:23

Great news natty! A line's a line

FF that's great, that's going to make life a lot easier for you. If she is a mother's help does that mean she won't be sole charge? Doesn't that also mean you will have 1 extra child hanging around? Still, if she is company for DD that will help, it's like reverse Gestalt theory 2 children together are less trouble than the sum of two children separately!

Daisy, they tested my iron levels and B12 levels recently and dr said there aren't any other tests they will do. I'm still toying with the idea of a nutritionist.

Fury, if you are around, did you know Jammy and SG are coming to my town for a meet-up on the 7th? Now you are a permy can you get A/L?

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 19:23

fairy that sounds like a great idea!

and this might help you save some money. Apparently separate from ocado so you can register and still save the £15 even if you get ocado deliveries already

natty......i thought most tests were read withing 10 mins? 6mins sounds ok to me!!

DD much perkier this evening and she has finally eaten a decent amount of food...yay

I have heartburn

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 19:30

aw daisy heartburn sucks!
i think i wont be able to believe it until i get a store bought one with a clear line, did feel sick this morning though, put it down to being dragged from my bed after 4 hours sleep as tom got me up at 5.30 this morning! first month of trying tho, surely to good to be true?

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 19:37

lol natty I spent a small fortune in tests when I thought I might be pregnant as I started testing 7 days after the deed was done (yes our sex life is so sad that I knew the exact date )....when I finally got a faint line (at about 12 days after) I wasn't sure whether to believe it or not. Next morning, slightly less faint, that evening less faint again, then the following morning...ping! big and wide and blue.

my saga was well documented on here

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 20:02

Thanks for the tip Daisy, I might use that tonight, if someone doesn't beat me to it

Bumper, she is actually a nanny so I'm paying a bit more than I would for a mother's help - and am going to do a mixture of sole charge and joint charge iyswim. I think having her daughter around will be a definite benefit tbh.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 20:45

Congrats Natty. And yes it can happen 1st month. My last period started Oct 9th 2006, and Nov 8th 2006 I got a BFP. MW put a big exclamation mark in my notes.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 20:49

Bought the jamlet one of these today, on recommendation of a couple of RL mum chums. Was a bit but she got the hang of it straight away and slurped loads from it.

HellHathNoFury · 18/07/2008 20:59

Hi All,
No Bumper can't make that day I'm afraid...I have already booked 2 weeks off on actual hols and am chucking a sickie for the 21st.
Would love to have met up with you guys though

HellHathNoFury · 18/07/2008 21:01

I feel sick after making cookies then eating 3 of them.

It's DH's B'day tomorrow... I am annoyed as I am going to have to play good wifey when what I actually want to do is go to the Next sales.

Congrats Natty! Sounds like a bfp!

HellHathNoFury · 18/07/2008 21:01

lol and the bets were on me being next... fools

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:19

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted for absolutely ages, just haven't had the chance recently!
I haven't caught up properly, just kinda skimmed but congratulations Natty! Definately sounds like a BFP! Oooh so pleased for you and a little Hope your DH is ok. Sorry that he may be facing a transplant
Happy Birthday for those that I have missed
Hope your DH has a good bday tomorroe Fury! Grr, I wanted to go to the Next sales too but my First Aid course starts tomorrow 9.30 am till 4.30 and I don't think I can convince DP to go out at 5 am! Could go afterwards I suppose but I think that by then it will be like a jumble sale!
Norty, glad the scan went well! Congrats!

DD had her MMR on Wednesday. I had a little bit of a wobble about it and nearly didn't let her have it, but then decided that it would be fine at the last minute She had the Pneumaccocal at the same time and boy, did she cry . She's been ok since but I guess we've got a few days before we may see some effects.

Are all the LOs walking now? DD will still not take any steps! She stands on her own for ages so she's definately got balance, and then she will get down and crawl. Does lots of cruising and walking with her walker but won't walk unaided. It's really frustrating as I keep getting excited thing that she's going to take a step and then she sits down. I will probably regret it when she actually starts walking and I have to run around after her even more, lol!

foxythesnowfox · 18/07/2008 21:20

or me hahahahahaha sob

I ordered my wii and wii fit today

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:21

Oops tomorrow I can spell! Must be the wine

foxythesnowfox · 18/07/2008 21:21

Hello Izzy - X-post there

You've been a stranger - have you got one of those real-life thingummyjigs?

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:24

I wishe I'd kept my wii! I really want the wii fit. Need to get in shape!
I have a Nintendo DS so I'm going to get that fitness coach game. I'll have to make do with that!

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:25

Hi Foxy!
A re? A re? A I'm sorry what? Don't know what one of those is

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 21:30

GHah, DD is still awake and starting to get really annoyed now. When we go up to her she is fine, all smiles, and we had her down here again for 10 minutes and she just ran about the place and wanted to play. She is soooo tired though, and has had calpol and nurofen, so she can't possibly be in any pain.

She's never done this before; that's two hours she's been at it. Any ideas?????

Hi Izzy, was wondering where you had got to.

Jammy, according to the website the sale doesn't start till 8am....am I going to be missing out on three hours shopping and all the effing sodding babygrows?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 21:33

Hi Izzy, Fury, Foxy, everyone.

Bugger! I noticed signs up saying sale starting tomorrow at our local Next, but not the opening time. Ah well, will get there when I can anyway, would just be nice to know.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 21:34

How did Daisy answer my question before I'd asked it??
