Aww Daisy did you miss me?
Sorry that your DD is out of sorts. If you've given her Calpol and neurofen I can't think of anything else you could do

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 21:35

DS is up as well, Daisy. He is wailing every time we put him down. He's been doing it a lot recently - I blame 'separation anxiety'. Has DD's temp gone down? She sounds like she's had a rubbish few days.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 21:36

Hello everyone, btw

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:36

Hi Jammy!
Just seen the Next advert on the Tv and it said that it started at 5 am.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 21:36

Arse, now DD has woken up. Bye bye

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:37

Hi Fairy! Hope you are well.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 21:40

Sorry for wakey LOs.

Yes, I just saw online that it's a 5am start. DH says I can take the jamlet down early as she'll prob be awake shortly after 5

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 18/07/2008 21:43

OK I'm off to bed. I'm shattered and I think DH wants to relax without me to cramp his style.

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:45

My sister is usually there at 5 am when it's a Next sale. Madness! She gets some good bargains though.
I don't usually shop at Next for myself but the baby clothes in there are gorgeous!

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 21:46

Goodnight Jammy! xx

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 21:53

yikes, it is 5am!!!! and some of the London stores open at 4am.

I think i'll mosey up there about 7am and see what's left. If i have to buy them in the non-sale items so be it; it's not as if they are expensive.

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 22:00

4am!!!!!!! That is crazy! You would have to be a very dedicated shopper to be up that early! Although, maybe some people will just go on their way home from nights out.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 22:01

DS and DD finally oth back asleep. I think Ds' problem is wind - he has a really gurgly tummy whenever we pick him up in the night. I've no idea how to sort it out. I just hope it will pass.

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 22:02

There is apparently a queue outseide from 2am at the store near my parents - my Mum's hairdresser used to be in it. Madness!

foxythesnowfox · 18/07/2008 22:11

Pah! Next is shite. They really don't need to be opening their doors at 5am.

FF - got any Infacol or Gripe Water?

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 22:15

sorry you wouldnt catch me outside next at that time in the morning!
ellen is being a pain this evening, i want to go to bed lol

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 22:16

I tried gripe water after his bedtime formula for a week and it made no difference. I have also stopped the follow-on formula and gone back to the formula he was having before in case that was upsetting his tummy. He won't drink cow's milk.

I am going to try cutting out fruit tomorrow in case he's having too much of that.

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 22:25

what about giving him some fennel tea to drink from his cup through the day fairy?

DD finally went to sleep at 10 o fucking clock.

DH eventually took up a bottle of milk, she was asleep before she had even managed 2 ozs. Strange baby.

I like the kids clothes in Next; they are reasonably priced and wash really well, keeping their shape. One of my big bug bears is t-shirts that go all twisty sideways in the wash.

We'll have a look on the way to DNs birthday party tomorrow. Fingers crossed for good weather; BIL has booked a bouncy castle

and can't remember who asked, Norty?, I saw my MW at 16 weeks, then had scan at 20 weeks and next scheduled MW appointment 25 weeks. I think I'll see her every three weeks from now on though. I'm sure I saw more of her when I was pregnant with DD.

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 22:26

formula is hard to digest, which is why most babies over one dont tollerate it. try cows milk for a few days and see if he will get used to it. you could try watering the formula down more for bedtime, half cows milk half formula, or cut the bedtime feed and just give water and offer the feed at another time of the day. they only need 2 milk feeds a day at this age, i do morning and after lunchtime nap and have no milk only wtaer or juice at bedtime to stop her getting wind.

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 22:29

i love next clothes cos they do purple girls clothes! but i still wouldnt be up at 5am!

FrazzledFairyFay · 18/07/2008 22:30

I might try the fennel tea, thanks for that Daisy.

Natty, he only has one formula feed a day, at bedtime. If he has any at any other time then he won't eat his meals. I will persevere with the cow's milk though. 1/2 and 1/2 is a good idea. Thanks

Izzybel · 18/07/2008 22:34

Glad DD has finally gone to sleep Daisy. They can have their moments can't they?! Hope it's good weather for the bouncy castle. It's been absolutely miserable here all week so I won't be holding my breath for a nice day tomorrow here! Rain rain and more bloody rain! Do you know what? I actually put the electric fire on for a few minutes today I was that cold! In fricking July.
I need a holiday! My mum is going to Turkey for 3 weeks

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 22:34

no probs

LackaDAISYcal · 18/07/2008 22:37

I'm off too, if I have to be up with the lark in the morning!

and if holly is lurking; thanks for the M&S sale link; everything I ordered is in stock and will be delivered; unlike vertbaudet who are only honouring half the order.

I think DH wants to get frisky

NattyPlusTwo · 18/07/2008 22:40

lol daisy, my dh is so pleased he has insisted on 'celebratory rumpy'
