OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FrazzledFairyFay · 17/07/2008 11:01

It's the nursery concert/last day party tomorrow and I was just thinking the same, Ria.... who will turn up with something and make the rest of us look bad. Blardy school/nursery politics!

justRia · 17/07/2008 11:03

it's raining. Ironing beckons.

(back later when DH gone to his class!)

foxythesnowfox · 17/07/2008 12:25

does anyone else use Quidco?

I signed up yesterday, got my first £5 from Photobox, and going to get the Wii through Currys or Dixons. Only 3% cashback, but all helps!

Bumperlicious · 17/07/2008 13:01

I've signed up but forget to use it.

DD just had a couple of very squitty nappies. How do you know it is diarrhea (sp?)?

I'm bored. My lunch date cancelled so DD and I are stuck with nothing to do. All the baby groups are in the morning, when DD usually sleeps for an hour or so and I get free time, and the children's centres are closed for strikes I think. We need to get out of the house though. There is bugger all to do round here. Times like this I wished I lived in London, but only if I was rich though!

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 13:06

I'm in today as well Bumper and got cabin fever.

IME when DD has diarrhoea, its much worse than a runny nappy....it soaks in IYKWIM and smells very sweet.....and comes at a rate of 1 or 2 an hour.

Is she teething? Easting ok? Drinking ok? Temperature? Hope she's ok x

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 13:07

Eating obviously

Bumperlicious · 17/07/2008 13:09

Yep, everything else fine, I was just wondering really how you would tell. DD's nappies range in their pleasantness! Right, off to have a shower and get dressed (judge me if you dare!).

Norty, hope you are feeling ok.

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 13:10

ok.....ish thanks

There really is no mistaking diarrhoea when comparing a runny nappy....its revolting and the smell is so distinctive.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/07/2008 13:11

Hi/Bye Bumper
Hi Norty

Should be going out to our children's centre but jamlet still asleep on my shoulder.

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 13:13

Hi Jammy

My DD is asleep in her cot.....she's already had 2 hours this morning

I'm just deciding whether to hang the washing out or bung it in the dryer.....oh decisions, decisions.....

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/07/2008 13:18

My washing is on the clothes horse inside. Don't have a dryer and is grey out.

Oooh, Jamlet is stirring, so we will be going out after all, if a little late

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 13:23

Well....its outside and I'll keep my eyes on it...grey here as well but very blowy

Have a nice afternoon Jammy

justRia · 17/07/2008 13:47

I only have 1 heap of ironing left.

Why, when DH appropriates stuff from work kitchens that they're chucking out, can'the get stuff that fits in the fecking cupboards? We had to build a whole new cupboard for his new collection of cake tins (he did buy those from someone whose mum was going into a home, but he never makes cakes), I have no room for a tupperware box big enough for a dead body.

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 14:08

LOL Ria

I've just spent the last fucking hour looking for my P60. DH and I have been arguing about this for weeks as I couldn't find mine and we need it for tax credit forms and my tax return.....we've had this fucking house upside down a number of times and my office at work as well...and he's been digging at me cos we could find his but not mine.....we've had a reminder that we haven't sent our forms in...cue another row about how messy I am, don't put things in their place etc etc (I am actually VERY organised) and guess where I've just found it ...................

wrapped up inside the tax return form ready to be filled in

fuck!

Sorry about the rant ladies but I could have been sitting on my arse MNing for the past hour instead of looking for something that was sitting directly in front of me on the computer desk

.....and breathe

LackaDAISYcal · 17/07/2008 14:17
Bumperlicious · 17/07/2008 14:43

Shit, we haven't done DD's trust fund thing either. I only just managed to send my tax forms off too.

Sorry you had a fruitless search norty. That's the sort of thing that sparks off an argument between me and DH - well that and anything really!

Just after my last post DD did another squitty nappy, very watery, soaked in with just a few solid bits remaining (couldn't work out what they were, raisins maybe - sorry TMI!). She seems ok though.

We've got MMR booked next month, but I am considering delaying it, though not sure if that will actually achieve anything.

Bumperlicious · 17/07/2008 14:46

Oh and bad mummy alert - DD was sobbing earlier while I was trying to put some washing on and tidy up so I gave her a bit of dairy milk. It's a rocky road isn't it! It's my mum's fault. When I was away there was a bowl with packets of chocolate buttons and DD kept picking them up and waving them and my mum was implying that she wanted some. I said "no she doesn't, she doesn't know what they are" and my mum just looked sheepish. Turns out she had been feeding them to her while I wasn't looking, including right before she went to bed!

justRia · 17/07/2008 14:50

baggins had a hly paddy the other day because DS2 had an icecream and he didn't get one (we were walking home from school - too messy). He had a proper fight with his grandad over his second ever ice cream on the seafront - they soon learn

can you tell I'm bored?

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 15:34

Poor DD Daisy....amazing isn't it they can feel like shit and still manage a chocolate biscuit?

My DD loves chocolate buttons as well

LackaDAISYcal · 17/07/2008 16:03

as long as she eats something. Her temp is down to 101 now, but she looks sooooo pale. Poor wee scone.

I have been back to the PO and fancied a bag of crisps. When I got home I went to open them and the pack had spilt all the way up the seam and they had sellotaped it (and not very well as it was split again) back together . Of course the crisps were soft and inedible

I bloody hate that shop, but it's the closest PO so we are stuck with it. They have a low table with newspapers infront of the counter and the woman (her husband runs the PO side of things) makes you lean all the way over to hand her the money or get your change. Whcih in my condition is getting a bit precarious to say the least. They are so rude as well....I will be compelled to say something before much longer, or else I'll beach myself on the table and won't be able to get up!

rant rant rant.

DD has perked up a bit (all praise chocolate and calpol) and is now fighting with DS on the sofa!

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 16:19

Ah poor thing...glad she's perking up.

My DD is sitting here eating eggy bread and tomato ketchup...and cramming so much in her gob its making her heave ...spitting it out, and repeat

She's doing very well though dipping the bread in the ketchup then eating it.....oh actually her hands are now in the ketchup and is sucking it off her hands...lovely

LackaDAISYcal · 17/07/2008 16:23

oh you heathen.. Every one knows that the only thing to have with eggy bread (french toast in our house, gypsy toast in DHs) is raspberry jam

LittleMissNorty · 17/07/2008 16:26

oh really....never heard of that one

she's being a right monkey atm, every time she heaves, I panic thinking she's choking.....she's onto banana now.....and she is shoving as much as she can in and laughing at me until I get it out so I've had to chop it up into small bits.....now bib has come off....oh shit, you can't MN and supervise tea at the same time....and oh bollocks, its raining....I knew I should have put the washing in the dryer

LackaDAISYcal · 17/07/2008 16:31

my washing has been out since yesterday I forgot to bring it in before the rain started yesterday evening and it's been too wet today to venture into the quagmire that is our garden in the rain. Oh, well it'll be nicely softened up by the rain water

andiem · 17/07/2008 16:34
