it's only fun when they sell daisy. I have sold my nursing bras and some surplus bras from pre-PG. I need more stuff to sell too.

I just want to go to sleep, I'm so tired and not sleeping well at night. I f I get time later I think I'll turn the mattress (we need a new one but it's WAY down the list of things to spend money on)

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2008 11:22

do people buy bras? I've got loads from my various pregnancies that didn't fit well and were only worn a handful of times. I can see me funding Christmas doing this.

It's like a giant car boot sale from the comfort of your sofa isn't it?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 11:41

Morning. We're just back from the children's centre where the jamlet helped me colour in a letter H for a wall display, played with an assortment of toys, had an "argument" with a little boy over who was going to play with the toy house, and stuffed her face full of melon. At snacktime the children all sit down at the table, and I gave her 3 slices of banana and 3 little chunks of melon. She ate them and sat there nicely, then when all the children at her end of the table had got down to play again, she grabbed the big plate and polished off all the leftover melon herself! But she did wait until everyone else had finished and there are worse things to eat so I couldn't get too cross

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 11:42

BTW I read daisy's "do people buy bras?" question out of context of ebay selling, and thought "no you silly woman, we all nick them!"

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2008 11:45

lol at the jamlet waiting patiently for the leftovers . You've trained her will in table manners though!

and pmsl at the image of me nicking all my bras!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 12:02

Hi Daisy. Sorry i went off to amke some lunch while jamlet is asleep. She always gets worn out playing at the children's centre

I'm feeling rather miserable after rowing too much with DH last night and this morning I think the fact I missed most of my ADs over the past week isn't helping. Hope things pick up soon.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2008 12:11

jammy, I always forget to take mine as well; it;s easy to do when you are actually feeling well.

DDis trying to close the laptop screen. I think that's a hint.

Back later!

foxythesnowfox · 16/07/2008 12:30

Fury can't you make the meet-up?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 12:56

Oooh, am trying to persuade DH we should go here on holiday in September

HellHathNoFury · 16/07/2008 13:02

Not sure yet Foxy. Should be able to but to be honest I feel a bit out of the fold these days!
My own fault, obviously! I have just been so busy I feel I have lost touch.

I have just been having a chat with Jason Manford about farting. Bizarre.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 13:18

oh do come along Fury, be good to see you

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 13:18

jamlet has found my book of stamps and peeled them all off the card

foxythesnowfox · 16/07/2008 13:19

Who's he then?

Don't feel like that. I want you to come, and I'm sure everyone else does.

Last year you were my waking thought for a while there, funny how DS was in no rush then, but running around now!

We have cricket that week, but still hopeful of making it.

HellHathNoFury · 16/07/2008 13:31

Really? ummm ok... if it would be ok I would like to come but was worried about ...oh it doesn't matter!

I will see if I can organise the day off.

Jason Manford is one of the presenters on 8 out of 10 Cats.

justRia · 16/07/2008 13:32

Don't feel out of the fold fury, we miss you when you're not here you know.

I am just a tad wound up and stressy. And I have go to to sports day because DH has paperwork to do and wants a bath (to give him credit he is going for another interview later, but still) I need to calm down and not turn to food

justRia · 16/07/2008 13:33

Am I right in thinking it's a really big meet-up? (and nearly everyone's going apart from scared-of-the-city me?)

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2008 13:54

fury, don't be so daft. Just cos you aren't posting as much doesn't mean we love you any less

i thought you were coming anyway provided you could get the day off.

and you know this is just your anxiety speaking, dontcha? a day chasing toddlers around Kew is just the tonic you need...and I want to meet you

Ria......we'll get them all to come up here next year

LittleMissNorty · 16/07/2008 14:27

Ria you're not the only one not going....not sure I'm gonna make it....I'll spend from now until then getting anxious about it and can't afford to be like that with no medication

Daisy, you'll be hooked on e-bay selling now....we have a box in the garage for e-bay fodder and add to it as necessary, then every now and then have a splurge in listing it and usually make a couple of hundred quid ...I recommend turbo-lister and its a free download

LackaDAISYcal · 16/07/2008 14:50

norty, have you not sorted the medication thing out yet? don't be anxious about little old us; it would be great to meet you at long last

an ebay box is a great idea. What sort of things do you sell? I can't imagine people wanting to buy all our old useless stuff.

I need to start listing DDs old clothes and stuff, espeially the summer things from last year, or it'll be too late and will have to wait until next year!

HellHathNoFury · 16/07/2008 15:10

Daisy

People will buy ANYTHING.
I sold my old mat bras.
Anything, honestly. Except my car, that still hasn't gone.

andiem · 16/07/2008 15:46

daisy well done on the ebaying we have a loft full of crp lovely things that I'm sure people would like to buy

ha pop after the hairdresser debacle my dhs nearly went in the bin

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/07/2008 16:17

back from haircut. New stylist as the one I usually see left. Not sure, but much cheaper, which to a part-time worker isn't to be sneezed at

justRia · 16/07/2008 16:17

Hi all.

My DS1 just won his first ever sports day race

I think baggins might be feeling unwell. He has been miserable all day. And is more now because daddy has gone out without him.

I bought my maternity bras and a nursing bra off ebay. I suppose there is a danger someone "dubious" might buy them, but that could happen with anything, probably best not thought about. What do you sell norty? I don't think I have any crap worth that kind of cash. My garage is full of stuff to sell on ebay/car boot sale. We really need to get organised so the car can go in there this winter. I would have a garage sale but I don't much fancy all the people I know poking through my stuff (or seeing what a mess the garage is in)
