There is a special offer with La Redoute today only - 60% off and 4th item free - code 1294

foxythesnowfox · 15/07/2008 16:30

top tip Ria thanks - am off to have a look now.

Daisy, the little buggers darlings rarely play up when with someone else - it is usually for our benefit IME. Keep cool at meal time and carry on as normal. It'll only mean bedtime comes sooner. Bring it on!

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/07/2008 19:17

Ahhhhhhhh, the sound of silence. DCs asleep and DH despatched to get fish and chips as farking Tesco's were over 2 hours late with my shopping by which time I'd given up and gone out - fuckwits. Anyway, where was I, oh yes.... silence.....................

andiem · 15/07/2008 19:26

lucky you fairy am going to have a right rant now

have had hair appt booked for 10 weeks as hairdresser has been on extnded hols was going to have cut and highlights and dh FORGOT and didn't come home from work in time
am going to have a cut at 8.15 but my highlights really need doing and I am so pissed off had made him lovely tea to heat up as well tbh feel like THROWING IT IN THE BIN

sorry rant over as we were ladees

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/07/2008 19:29

very justified rant, andiem. I would be spitting feathers. We need to meet for coffee soon, it's been ages.

andiem · 15/07/2008 19:35

definitely am just going out now FOR MY HAIRCUT WITH NO HIGHLIGHTS

will text you tomorrow re dates

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 20:02

evening all.

ouch for the fillings andie and have a nice haircut

teatime went off without too much of a hitch tonight...but it was my homemade tomato and egg sauce which always goes down a treat.

Kids are in bed and looks like DS is staying there; he had his first totally dry night last night (ie without me waking him for a wee)

glad the vicar's visit went well Ria, and I'm sure he sees a lot worse than a bit of untodyness and ironing....in fact our vicar got a wonderful view of my mum's...well....unmentionables when she was in the hospice as she was fighting with the nurse and my sister to get out of bed. My sister admonished her as she "wasn't decent", to which mum replied "he won't see anything he hasn't seen before" , then won her battle to be allowed to sit with her legs dangling over the edge of the bed! The poor vicar was beetroot red apparently

I put DD down for her nap earlier with just a t-shirt and nappy/wrap on as it has been really sticky and warm here today. when I went to get her when she woke up, she had taken the blooming things off and was looking very pleased with herself! My daughter is a streaker....help!

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/07/2008 20:05

tee hee at BabyBoo being a streaker - DS has mastered the art of escaping from his sleeping bag but not of taking his clothes of. That said, whenever I take his clothes/nappy off, he makes a run for it and runs around looking really pleased with himself - I think he's born to be a nudist but just doesn't have the skills!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 20:10

he'll learn fairy, give him time

DS was never a streaker, but my sister's little lad was. He used to strip and then run around in their communal drying green (shared by about 10 blocks of six flats)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2008 20:28

Thanks for the redoubte code Ria, have managed to get some stuff for the jamlet.

Shame about your highlights Andiem, but at least you're getting a cut. I'm getting a cut tomorrow, but have to take jamlet with me. She's normally OK, sits in the push chair while it's being washed and then on my lap while they cut it. but she's a lot more wriggly than last time we went, so we shall see...

Is very hot and sticky here too. Need a good rain, if not a storm, to clear the air.

Bumperlicious · 15/07/2008 20:42

Evening all.

Jammy and SG have emailed. Plan sounds good and nearly all those dates are good for me.

Hope your blood test results are ok Ria. I had one yesterday too to check my thyroid levels.

DD is properly walking now, she's too little!

Fairy and Foxy just so you know I probably won't need a bed for the meet up (we're going with the 21st yes?). DH and I have taken the week off and are hopefully going to stay in my mum's partner's house in Surrey, so I can pop up from there. Though Foxy, I would still love to come down for a girly get-together sometime!

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/07/2008 20:44

That sounds lovely, Bumper.

justRia · 15/07/2008 20:46

hi bumper. Mine is for my calcium levels apparently.

Hope you have a good haircut andie. Yum to fish & chips fairy, we're having them on Friday for dsis's 40th party.

I found a shirt on La Redoute, for DS1 for the christening, I might have another look later and order.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 20:46

what size is 12-18mo in La Redoute? is it 81cm? And how do the sizes come up from there? Are they small made?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2008 20:48

I think 12-18 is 81. The things I've ordered are size 86, so will probably have to be kept back for a while but that's OK. They didn't have a lot in in the smaller size.

justRia · 15/07/2008 20:49

I think they're small. I hope baggins outfit fits, I bought it ages ago.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2008 20:49

But as this is my 1st order I don't know how gernerously or otherwise they are cut of course.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 20:50

thanks

not sure whether we need anything, but I can't resist a bargain

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2008 20:50

Bumper/SG - have replied again

Bumperlicious · 15/07/2008 21:12

Ok, it's all your fault Ria! - does Laredoute come up big or small for adults?

justRia · 15/07/2008 21:15

I think small. OK, blame me! (no one ever blames Holly for making them spend money)

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 21:17

Hi Bumper...how are you lovely? I always seem to miss you these days.

Bumperlicious · 15/07/2008 21:22

LOL ria, true, but Holly also gets us free stuff!

Hi daisy, I've only been on sporadically recently. DH complaining a bit, and there just hasn't been the time. Not sticking around tonight either, going to get off in a minute and Read Books so I can feel more intelligent (low self esteem in my job? Moi?) . Sounds like DD is coming along in leaps and bounds for you, bless her.

justRia · 15/07/2008 21:30

I can hear baggins snoring on the monitor

Bumperlicious · 15/07/2008 21:32

Quick question - is it too late for a play pen? Some one at work is selling this for £45. We've managed fine until now but what about when DD starts climbing on stuff? Is it too late to introduce one?
