sorry dkma, I never look at dates of birth on FB; prolly cos I took mine off after the scaremongering about people stealing identities etc last year!

Hope you are having a good one though

how is the little fella? all better now?

Natty, how's DH?

LackaDAISYcal · 14/07/2008 21:42

We're coming up in a few weeks PoP. From 1st to 5th August....at least I think we're staying till the 5th. It depends on DHs workload (ie if he can wangle some business up there so we get our petrol paid for ) and whether my big sis will be happy for us to stay. I'll keep you posted; a trip to Craigtoun Park would be good

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/07/2008 21:43

Yes, sorry DKMA.

I must go to bed though. Was another early start (3 5ams in a row ). Hope she sleeps a bit longer tonight.

natty, am impressed that with all that's going on you are still finding the energy to TTC. The exuberance of youth, eh?

has he heard any more from the doctors about his test results?

NattyPlusTwo · 14/07/2008 21:59

nope, got docs wednesday to ask them about it.
to be honest we arnt ttc as much as not trying not to.. if you see what i mean! we are happy for it to happen when it does, cos we are concious of the fact that if he does have his kidney/liver transplant he will be on dialisis and tons of medication that means we may not be able to in the future. so not wanting to take the chance of not having our third we are just not going to use contraception and if it takes 6 months TC then it does.

Morning all What a difference it makes to wake up naturally, instead of being dragged out of sleep by a crying baby. I was up at 6.20 and managed to bathe, dress and eat before jamlet woke up at 7 She must have been really active at nursery yesterday and wore herself out!

Dull day ahead at work though, bah!

justRia · 15/07/2008 09:41

morning.

super stressful blood test done. just having toast and tea to recover, then have to make the house presentable as the vicar is coming later to talk about he christening. It's very hot - wonder if I could make him come in through the gate and sit in the garedn

for blood test, Ria. I hate having blood taken

at the sleep Jammy. DS has taken to waking up and screaming for 1-2 hours in the night over the past few weeks. No idea why and only cuddling him back to sleep works. He's also started waking up his sister, so matchsticks are holding up our eyelids at the moment. I'm hoping it's a'phase' as he's always slept well in the past. I keep repeating the "this too will pass" mantra, with a sense of desperation.

DD is a slow, and fussy, eater as well and it drives me potty. She will use every diversion tactic in the book to avoid eating.

Great fb pics Daisy.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 11:30

I hate blood tests as well; they always struggle to get any out of me, and only one vein is ever productive....I have vague scar marks where they have to go in the same place all the time. I think my veins just constrict as soon as I see a needle, which is odd as it doesn't actually bother me!

thanks fairy . Has anyone else noticed that the amount of photos you take tails off....just when they start to do more interesting things!!

DD has been waking up at night as well fairy; I think she is having dreams as she seems really agitiated when she wakes. She slept through last night though for the first time in over three weeks...so fingers crossed for you too!

Have made my first ever ebay sale .....not the pram though; my steriliser. Not sure what to do now though!

foxythesnowfox · 15/07/2008 11:44

the ban been lifted Daisy?

sympathy for the night-wakings FF.

Wish I had some top tips for fussy eaters. I generally say "its XXX for dinner. do your complaining and get it out of the way". DD is being particularly tricky at the moment. I can't be arsed with it so say 'OK then' and take it away. It gets brought out later when she starts asking for biscuits. heh heh heh

i have a cold. In fact, I think I have man-flu.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 11:51

I am compromising; doing bits of housework then pootering. Couldn't bear to go cold turkey.....I started shaking and sweating and gibbereing in the corner with my fingers typing on an imaginary keyboard.

After my holiday I will MN less as the week and a half off will have broken the habit

Actually I should take it off my homeage list as it's too much of a temptation every time I switch the pooter on!

Tonight he will eat what gets put in front of him; or it's going in the bin again! He is going to a friend's for tea tomorrow and I'm really worried that he will play up there too!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/07/2008 11:58

Poor you Ria, don't envy you blood tests at all.

And sympathies for those with night wakers and fussy eaters. So far, jamlet hadn't been at all fussy with her food. She can be a bit slow but steady, which I don't mind but hasn't turned her nose up at much thankfully and doesn't get too distracted by things. And long may it last!!

Have had HR check over my payslip and they also think that I was underpaid by about £800 (pre-tax etc) last month. So I've started the long, tortuous and stressful process of complaining to our payroll providers Thankfully the underpayment was on arrears, so I still have enough to cover this month's outgoings. But that is not the point.

Hope your manflu clears up soon Foxy

LackaDAISYcal · 15/07/2008 12:13

arses to your payroll department Jammy. sounds like they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

DHs lot forgot to pay him his car allowance for two months running at the beginning of the year amd he has only just got it back now!

andiem · 15/07/2008 14:31

hi everyone

jammy what a mess your payroll is they always seem to make mistakes hope they sort it out soon

mhc or pop love the new name

ria hope you are feeling better after the blood test

I had 2 fillings at 07.30 this morning so could go without dcs wouldn't recommend it have also been to ikea and survived having a late lunch as ds2 has only just woken up

justRia · 15/07/2008 14:34

hi again, the vicare visit was fine. we tidied the hallway and living room, so DH decided we would sit in the garden - not tidied and we had to walk through the conservatory where all the ironing is piled up and DH has paperwork out everywhere

I jhave been in DS1s room this morning and loaded everything that wasn't where it should be into a black binliner. We put the wheelie bin out for collection on Thursday. Let's see how he deals with this one

justRia · 15/07/2008 14:34

yuk for sleepless nights and fillings.

andiem · 15/07/2008 15:06

glad the visit with the vicar went well ria
