Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 19:57

Yes thanks. ILs had a lovely time with the Jamlet and it was nice not to have to do any cooking etc etc. And DH & I had an afternoon at the cinema (Pronce Caspian)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 19:58

And we had a quick trip down to the beach to show jamlet the sand and the sea for the first time.

foxythesnowfox · 13/07/2008 20:09

Hey Jammy - glad you had a good weekend

Ria, families are strange. Sisters especially IME!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 20:23

Hi Foxy. Glad birthday celebrations went well. And sorry to anyone else whose LO's birthday I missed

HellHathNoFury · 13/07/2008 20:25

Jammy just popped on to say...
my mum came over last night and said that my brother didn't walk and bum shuffled until he was 2.5.
I guess bum shuffling is fun?!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 20:29

Hey Fury.
Jamlet seems happy bum shuffling 'tis true. As long as she's happy then so am I (as long as she's not just happy because she's got hold of the TV remote, or the DVD player or the lap top ...)

Sputnik · 13/07/2008 20:48

Baby Sputnik is really proud of himself if you take him for a walk holding his hands

He has also recently learned to clap, point and say "duck", he is soooo talented

We had a barbecue today. It rained but we have a big porch so no problem and meant it didn't get unbearably hot in the afternoon

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 20:48

Hi Sputnik, and for DS

Seansgirlthesequel · 13/07/2008 20:56

Just a quick Hello - have tried to skim read a catch up, but it has mingled into one again . Only things have been retained are : NEXT SALE is DEFINATELY SAT 19TH ! I asked someone I know who works there and also MONSOON SALE STARTS TUESDAY 15TH - asked an assistant when was in there the other day why I couldn't find a skirt in the store thats on the website - she said its because its gone to sale stock for next tuesday! Whoops! I shouldn't be telling you we are not allowed to!!
And BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAYS to LOs Foxy and DKMA! AND yes Ria - families are very strange - my brothers socialise loads - and never ask me (yes - actually I would have liked to go and see the Foo Fighters at Wembley thanks for asking......! )

Don't know why have been so hectic here, but haven't had 5 mintes peace really - Guess I will have even less time when DD finishes school on friday ! No nes to report really DS is crawling pretty fast and also trying to climb??? WTF??? He can't walk yet! He crusises loads and stands up on his own for a while until he realises whats going on then just sits down again!

Oh and am very pleased with myself as have lost 12lbs!!! Whahey!!!!

Have emailed you Jammy BTW

justRia · 13/07/2008 20:58

there seems to be spite - dsis1 invited me shopping on Friday somewhere specific. I said I wasn't sure and would have to ask DH if he would go to the thing at school and DS1 if he minded his dad instead of me. But I had it more or less sorted, and ... she went yesterday.

YOur day sounds nice sputnik, even with rain, and hooray for baby sputnik

baggins liked having his feet snuffled by a goat

Seansgirlthesequel · 13/07/2008 20:59

Hey Sputnik! Well Done Baby Sputnuik Obviously takes after his mother!

justRia · 13/07/2008 20:59

well done on the weight loss SG. Am as I haven't. What are you doing?

bedtime, it's a bit late but hey, it's nearly the hols )thank goodness)

Sputnik · 13/07/2008 21:03

Watch out Ria, goats will eat anything

Big congratulations on the 12lbs Seansgirl! My scales broke but I don't think I've lost anything recently. I do ok for a bit then blow it all by eg eating 1/2 a kg of chocolate raisins

Seansgirlthesequel · 13/07/2008 21:03

"Theres nowt stranger than folk and none more odd than kin" ?? my Gran always used to say Ria, I used to think she was fruit loop and now the longer she has departed from this world and the older I am I think god, she was so right..... but of her many says still have not made head nor tale of them all. Get this one ... "what you need is a wimwom for a mustard mill" but on a regular basis use this one for DS "he doesn't know if he wants a shit or a haircut that one..." tee hee

Sputnik · 13/07/2008 21:04

I am pretty good at saying duck

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 21:07

Sputnik

Seansgirlthesequel · 13/07/2008 21:09

Ria, I can't say I'am enjoying it tbh but its a sort of bastardisation (sp?) of this one only fat people skip breakfast I've done it before, and it really works for me, though I know I will have a break out at some point but my holiday is spurring me on at the minute as have clothes that I could wear if lost another 7lbs and saves me buying any more!

Seansgirlthesequel · 13/07/2008 21:11

Sputnik.

Right am going to bid you night night am going to join DH on the sofa xx

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 13/07/2008 21:25

Night all. Had a 5am start, so bed for me now.

justRia · 13/07/2008 21:36

night jammy & SG.

30 mins til i can watch Midsomer Murders (DH recording it)

not sure about that book SG, it seems a bit harsh, I'm not ready for that approach yet but it must be ok cos it sound like it works.

justRia · 13/07/2008 21:37

can we have some more fab sayings please??? maybe one a week or something?

LackaDAISYcal · 13/07/2008 21:48

evening all

am bloody knackered. Got lots of stuff sorted out today in the house, did some of the week's shopping, then cooked two different veggie curries to have with spicy roast chicken, had a friend over for tea (he is setting up our home network for us) and then one of my November thread buddies popped in for a cuppa with her family. So the DCs were late to bed, I've spent ages tidying and am just now sitting down after finally getting my photos on my listing and the listing dates changed. So much for "day of rest" eh?

Ria....how about the ne that goes "you can pick your friends but not your relatives?"

or "a sister from overseas is worth two from up the road"

justRia · 13/07/2008 21:55

Hi daisy.

LackaDAISYcal · 13/07/2008 22:04

'lo Ria

well done on the weight loss SG, and of covered BBQs in warm rain Sputnik.

Off to inspect the gate in the kitchen.....only the second attempt at installing it (one of the brackets was too low, but to be fair to DH it was exactly as the template which must have been wrong). Now my spice drawer and the cat's water bowl are off limits; Madam will not be amused at all

justRia · 13/07/2008 22:10

bollocks - had my eyes covered and everything - just peeped to see what was happeneing and - fecking maggots

must go and concentrate or I won't have a clue what's going on (again)

night night.
