Well the best thing about doing the course with the NHS is that when I get my ID card I shall be able to get 50% off in Dominoes...HURRAH!!

Hi Norty! I was reading a thread on Money Saving Expert that said NHS and Emergency Services staff get 50% off. It isn't a well known thing, but is entirely true!

blardy vertbaudet. I have just been merrily shopping in the sale, and i noticed my basket had jumped from £20ish to £75ish after the addition of a £2.40 tshirt. When I checked what was in it, it was a whole bunch of furniture and 6yo girls clothes.....wtf???? and some of the stuff is marked as in the sale, but still shows full price when you try to add it to the basket.

Yes I did, dropped out after 1st year though ! I was 18 though and completely homesick and the course wasn't at all how I expected it to be. Dp will just have to be a bit more supportive, he has no choice in the matter! It is something that I really want to do and he knows how important it is to me.

I think I am pretty self aware. I know what my faults are and what I'll have to change about myself to become a good bfc (eg. being less judgey). I guess that's all part and parcel of the course though, learning to work through all of that.

I'm bored, I shouldn't have let dp take dd with him, I need her here! I expect they're having a lovely time though and getting some daddy-daughter bonding done!

The Next sale starts next saturday (19th I think). No VIP code here ! You can use codes on Vertbaudet sale stuff. I am waiting for the Monsoon sale to start. Kids and Accessorize have started, but not womens'. Hopefully it'll be next week sometime.

May I recommend Syrup Sponge Pudding Ice Cream, courtesy of Mrs Beeton brand. I got some from Tesco today.

Am bloody knackered. I think I have overdone it with a few late nights this week and inspite of usually getting a second wind around this time, tonight (probably because DH is home and I'm officially off-duty) I can just go to bed right now!

Made some headway in the kitchen and boxed up some stuff to go up in the attic, as well as sending DF home with some clutter useful bits and pieces, and sorted through the toys and sent all the cuddlies up to DDs room, so feeling a bit virtuous

some of the specials are selling for £8-£10 each on ebay...and a fecking pot was at £5.00 as it was orange and you can't get hold of them...it's a plastic pot FFS!

DD loves them.....they are especially good for putting in the pot, then taking out again, then putting in the pot, then taking out again, then putting in the pot, then taking out again. but it keeps her quiet for 10 minutes.

holly, do you have any current vertbaudet codes? none of the ones I've tried are working, unless I'm doing something wrong. It says the code has been activated, but the prices of things in the basket isn;t changing.

I don't know daisy, I haven't used Vertbaudet for ages. It was becoming a problem for me and I was buying waaaay too much stuff from there, so I went cold turkey! You always used to be able to use the codes on anything, sale or full price, but maybe it's changed. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks MHC, I really can't wait to get started. It'll be something to get my brain working, I think part of it has died since becoming a SAHM!
