Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Cheers bumper. I hadn't even registered it, and I notice no-one else rose to it either. I have coined a response now though

Interesting that she has been here for two days and has posted on 9 AIBU threads already....some people have nothing better to do than stir it.

Did you see the C&G ad thread. One of the posters on there argued the toss with everyone for five days, said we were all misinformed idiots who would be better raising awareness in RL than on an internet forum and how we all needed to get a grip on reality, was told both politely and not so politely to F orf, then quietly slipped in tonight that she has written to C&G to complain.....WTF?????

justRia · 09/07/2008 23:12

Oh I do so love MN, it is such a happy caring place to be (obviously only this thread and my nice diet threads), even after all this time I am too scared of the flammable ones

Have been to DS1s secondary school tonight to be bored rigid for 11/2 hours about how marvellous they are at "individual learning" (but strangely when we went to talk to the SEN teacher they don't seem to consider dyslexia. I can't remember her exact words but it was something along the lines of a diagnosis is irrelevant, or they can't diagnose or something. so on first impressions DS1s potential in all subjects will be stunted because of his general crapness at literacy. They asked if we'd had his eyes tested?) Got a bollocking of DM when we got back because in my stressy ill state I forgot to take a bottle for baggins, though GD had made him toast and given him milk out of a cup.

I'd better go I suppose. Very sore eyes. We have to be up ear;y to get DS1 on the bus at 8.30 for his taster day.

I'd rather just run away with them all to somewhere where there's no people.

night night!

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 23:52

thanks mhc

Lol ria at "flammable" threads.

DS has literacy issues as well, so i feel your pain.

Is the taster day at high school? Good luck

justRia · 10/07/2008 09:10

Welcome to anxiety heights!

DS1 gone to "big" school, with strict instructions about not losing his lunch money or return bus ticket. DS2 has a taster session in reception after lunch. We're buzzing

I wish I was one of those people who lose weight with stress. I would be a beanpole!

On first impressions DH finally seems to be less twunty.

Have a good trip jammy, hope you are feeling up to the journey.

Bumperlicious · 10/07/2008 10:06

V pissed off. Firstly DH woke us all up at 7am looking for his fricking keys and didn't even apologise as he was too stressed about getting into work.

Been looking forward to this creative writing session and psyching myself up to putting DD in the creche and I haul my arse over to the children's centre and it is fucking cancelled, and they didn't bother to ring me. I am so disappointed I want to cry I don't know what is wrong with me.

Bumperlicious · 10/07/2008 10:08

Ria, hope your boys (and you) do ok today.

How does your anxiety manifest? I'm a pretty anxious person too but it usually comes across as irritability.

justRia · 10/07/2008 10:08

bumper.

justRia · 10/07/2008 10:11

I think today my anxiety will probably just be general twitchiness (and I've just had my first cup of coffee in a few years!), but if something happens then my stomach spasms and I'm rushing to the loo, I get butterflies and I feel like my limbs are kind of fuzzy/prickly. I mgiht just be irritable for the hell of it

Did you DH get sorted out at work?

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 10:12

have a good holiday Jammy and i hope you feel better soon.

Fingers crossed for DS1 today Ria

Arse for you bumper. you are probably tired and overstretched (after all you've been looking after two babies for the last few days ). being like that always makes me feel more emotionally vulnerable. Also, you were really looking forward to it so it's bound to be a huge diappointment. Arses that they didn't tell you it was cancelled though . did you go there and only find out once you were there?

right...shoo me away if you see me around this morning. I have a friend coming over for a spot of lunch, but environmental health would close me down if I was a commercial kitchen at the minute

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 10:13

Anxiety sucks....mine is on the rage end of the irritability scale

LittleMissNorty · 10/07/2008 10:16

Iagree it sucks.......especially when there is nothing to be anxious about....

Hope DSs get on well today Ria.

I really should DO something, I've been sitting on my arse since DH went to work at 7.30am

annobal · 10/07/2008 10:23

bumper - that sucks.

Good luck for today Ria .

Well we had a little party for DS3 today - even with just 'close friends and family' it is such a faff and now the house is filthy and I'm too tired to clean. Had a great day though and DS is wearing his first proper pjs (makes me want to cry as he looks so grown up).

Morning everyone! I'm watching neighbours...

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 10:49

Happy Birthday for DS3 annobal ...hope he had a good day.

I'd forgotten that we have June babies born in July

LittleMissNorty · 10/07/2008 11:24
