no chance for me annobal we are finished with babies in this house
and I have stopped bf ds2 he was down to just 1/2 feeds in the night as I had swapped him to cow's milk but have not fed him the last 3 nights have offered him milk in a cup which he slurps well
now I have to wean him off any sort of drink at night and then maybe I might get a whole night's sleep again

annobal · 10/07/2008 11:33

We're on school hols at the moment - must admit it is lovely not to have to be anywhere and DS1 doesn't actually start school til October...

justRia · 10/07/2008 11:35

Hi annobal, happy B'day to DS.

I went upstaits to cleans DS1s room, and have just put up lots of posters of David Tennant instead

back to it!

Hi andiem.

LittleMissNorty · 10/07/2008 11:35

Had my moments of feeling rough but its mainly the tiredness......speaking of which DD has been in bed since 9.30am (after getting up at 7.30am).....bout time she got up and dressed I think!!!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 11:35

I think I might actually be allergic to housework . I have been feeling a bit queasy all morning and now that I've started to lay into the kitchen proper, I feel like I'm gonna chuck any minute...

or else I've got whatever DD has as she is a bit poorly with a very productive and sore bottom.

annobal...23 weeks today. All well now that breathlessness is sorted. I don't get to bed early enough though (I seem to get a second wind around 10pm) so I am generally knackered from lack of sleep in the day.

annobal · 10/07/2008 11:37

Am almost where you are Andie - I'm still feeding DS3 evenings and mornings but getting ready to drop that too. I need to find a milky drink as cows milk doesn't agree with him - might try sheeps... Any suggestions?

annobal · 10/07/2008 11:44

Daisy, that's not allergic - I generally come out in hives at the mere mention...What you have sounds like a housework virus - cup of tea and a biscuit and you'll be fine

FOr some reason i thought you were further than that. How is is going? Apart from the hw virus that is...

annobal · 10/07/2008 11:45

Thanks Ria

David Tennant? Really?

andiem · 10/07/2008 11:45

ria you can gaze lovingly at them as you hoover

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 11:46

do you get thinks like lacto-free in OZ......it's dairy milk that almost all of the lactose has been removed from.

Or what about rice type milk drink or soya milk? might need calcium supplements with those though

andiem · 10/07/2008 11:47

goats milk or could you try one of those soya or rice milks
ds2 is so funny he wakes up cries goes slurp slurp slurp 3 times and then passes out again I wish he wouldn't though

andiem · 10/07/2008 11:47

x post with daisy

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 11:48

housework virus...i like that

I lurve David Tennant, especially when he talks in his lovely Scottish voice (not his could be from anywhere Dr Who one)

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 11:48

andie have you tried just leaving him? or does he just keep crying?

annobal · 10/07/2008 11:52

Thanks guys - he's been having rice milk since I weaned him which has the same amount of calcium as milk but didn't know if this was ok as a staple drink??

andiem · 10/07/2008 11:53

daisy he goes ballistic and then we end up being up for much longer as he will not be comforted with anything and takes him another 30-45mins to settle
so at the moment the slurping is the lesser of 2 evils
next week I am going to swap the cow's milk for water

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 11:53

I think the fat content might be a consideration as well annobal . Do you have HVs in Oz? or can you ask the doc?

andiem · 10/07/2008 11:54

not sure annobal I think it is the calcium that is most important and then the fat and protein

annobal · 10/07/2008 12:01

It is the fat content that I worry about as it - he's not underweight but doesn't have a lot to lose...Will check with the dr.

DH has gone for a walk and there is nothing on tv. bored.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 12:01

found thiss if it helps.

annobal · 10/07/2008 12:08

Thanks Daisy .

andiem · 10/07/2008 12:20

have you tried whispers follow on formula although that is obviously cow's milk based

andiem · 10/07/2008 13:00

I've killed the thread with my talk of follow on formula

annobal · 10/07/2008 13:19

LOL andie - haven't tried anything other than bm (which is fine) and full cream (which gives him a sore tummy).

LittleMissNorty · 10/07/2008 13:29

Is it the middle of the night there Annobal?
