You can come to our school on Monday if you like

DH is still in bed, DS1 not back from tennis yet (I let him go on his own on his bike now he's "qualified"), DS2 is singing lines from the musical really loudly, so when DH does get up he'll be bad tempered, and baggins keeps howling.

I think I may leave home.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 18:41

Can I do that Ria? Just turn up? They have a school organiser database so there may be a rep registered for your school anyway. If you FB me the name of the school I can get contact details for you...or can register myself as your rep if not......might be a bit too far to make any money though; the petrol costs would probably cancel out any commission I'd make

But if you want to be an organiser I can recruit you and get some free books for me into the bargain. The starter pack is ony £5 at the minute and the only commitment is to put through £100 of sales in the first 12 weeks....or else you have to pay the difference between the sales you have made and the £100. If no sales you pay £95 for example.....but £100 is only about 15-20 books so easily achievable......gwan you know you want to do it....commission is 24% as well so quite good.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 20:35

...where is everybody?

sputnik, foxy...are you out there?

ooooh, I can recruit you mhc

I think a car would be pretty necessary, unless you just do "at home" events where you have the party at your house and get people to come to you. You cna also set up a website via them but the commission isn't as good 10% vs 24% for a party.

Are you watching the free birthing programme on C5?

Been packing for going away tomorrow. And lots of grumping going on too between me & DH.

I'm too tired to do anymore tonight, but of course I will, because that's what women do. Or is it just me?

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 21:12

which thread mhc?.....i have been popping up all over the place on the breastfeeding boards....all part of my new lactivist role in life

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:21

I'm here, but going to bed soon. This weather is making me bored and tired and all I want to do is snuggle up in bed!

Which thread was that MHC? Daisy, you are popping up all over the place! I really should get involved in these bfing threads, I love to stick my oar in!!

Jammy, hope the packing and the journey go ok.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 21:27

I know holly...I need to get off the sofa the pooter and do some fecking housework

I'm going to a MN breastfeeding picnic in Durham in a couple of weeks as well...in support of the petition to lobby for a law like Scotland has.

bloody hell that woman on the freebirthing programme has such a lovely neat little bump

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:33

I take it it's the C&G ad thread! Turned into a bun fight I see! How many times do people need to say "IT'S NOT A FF VS BF DEBATE!" I do fucking hate that ad though, oh and the Aptimil one grrrr....!!!!

I was having a "sitting on my soapbox" discussion with my peer supporter trainer last week. We were getting very angry about the marketing of formula milk. She was saying about how some of the midwives and herself had to purge the hospital of all the formula company merchandise. They had paediatricians going out to their cars with SMA umbrellas and nurses using Aptimil pens etc. They are trying to become a baby friendly hospital and the formula companies keep coming through the back door and giving out their crap!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:35

I went to a bfing picnic during bfing week. It was loads of fun! They were many like minded people there, I felt right at home! To outsiders we must have looked like a bunch of lentil weaving hippies!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:36

I'm not watching the free birthing show, dp is watching Cars, Cops & Cameras ! I bet it's interesting. Does C5 have an iplayer type catch up thingy?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:41

Wicked, they do! And they have all the Neighbours back to 10th June, I've missed the past couple of weeks because of watching Wimbledon! Hurrah! [sad loner emoticon]

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 21:49

It's very interesting; the woman called Cleo was just fab....she didn't even appear to be in any pain and didn't push either; just let her body do it's own thing. the baby was so relaxed and not even crying when it was born.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 21:53

and i've lost my cat .

i threw her out at teatime for clawing at the wallpaper. i've just realised it;s pissing down, but when I called on her she hasn;t appeared. she normally hides under my car when it;s raining. I know I'm going to have to go over to our fuckwit neighbours to see if she is trapped in their garage. the door doesn't shut and it's full to overflowing of crap. Our old cat used to get stuck in there all the time, but Daisy hasn't so far. The rain might have been enough to tempt her to go investigate though

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 21:57

Wonderful! It sounds peaceful and natural. Though if I were to do it I would want a MW in the next room just in case!!

I saw you had a conversation with the farleys cust services! I would love to boycott Heinz (I have boycotted C&G, Milupa, Nestle and all the other SOBs), but all other baked beans and ketchup taste like shit! Believe me I have tried to have own brand, but it is just wrong on every level! I don't buy Heinz baby products though, does that count?!!

My copy of M&B is just full to bursting with ads for formula! I haven't bought it since dd was a baby and it really is utter drivel! Though to give it some credit there are some quite good bfing articles.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 22:01

Oh dear daisy, hope you find her. When I was at home we lost our cat. She was missing for about 2 weeks and we eventually found her in a garage across the road. They had a cat flap that only opened in, not out and because it was rented they didn't have access to it. My dad had to break in and rescue her! The poor thing was skin and bone, but she lived to tell the tale (or tail )!!

Sputnik · 09/07/2008 22:05

Evening all. Every time I catch up with you lot I run out of time to post, so this time I'll post first

Busy here as DH is off work so we are out a lot and kids going to bed later too. I noticed I missed Annobal, so and hope we'll be seeing more of you now you have moved in.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 22:07

Hi sputnik, if you tell me it's sunny there I shall have to waft some of this rain your way. Either that or run down the road and hop on a plane and come and join you! I think you can fly to Rome from Southampton !

Sputnik · 09/07/2008 22:07

Oh, I see you missed me Daisy
Hope you find Daisy.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 22:07

Crosse and Blackwell (or is it HP) beans are OK.

oh, and my dippy little banana brained DS tried to eat a bird's eye chilli earlier . I made a keema mince type thing for tea, and just scored the chilli and had it in for 10 mins to give a bit of flavour but not make it so hot that the DCs couldn't have it. DS saw it lying on the side and asked what it was....so I told him and to leave it alone as it was very spicy.

Next thing he's merrily setting the table and started screaming about his mouth burning.....it took him five minutes to actually admit he had put it in his mouth (I thought at first he had just out his chili covered fingers in his mouth) and he has a blister on his bottom lip. I made him drink loads of milk and scrub his hands but he couldn;t eat his tea as the temperature of it was making his lips sting.

silly little beggar; I did warn him!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 22:11

Wow daisy, I didn't know chillis could actually hurt you! Silly MRR, hope he's ok.

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 22:11

hey sputnik. Yes i miss you cos you are normally around early evening.

I have given up on the Usbourne website....it was making my head hurt as I couldn't find anything. I'm sure once I've caught up on sleep it'll be a peice of cake.

Still not sure how it works with SMP.....looks like I'm calling the tax office tomorrow to ask!

Sputnik · 09/07/2008 22:12

It's sunny
Come over, we have a spare room with a sofa bed, and your DC's couldn't trash the place any worse than ours already have
Oh and we have erected our glorified paddling pool swimming pool. Even though it leaks. [ducks]
