morning folks!

Morning all

Glad it wasn't awful POTC

My thoughts exactly Oooggs......but the trouble is, if they don't go there, it is further away from James' school and I won't be able to drop off/ pick them all up, so James will have to get the bus and it costs £140 a term, plus it does seem nice, and happy and dh is keen (he used to go there until he was 7, and reckons it was the only school he ever liked - but the head teacher wasn't there then), but I just can't help but feel slightly uneasy about it.... It might be that I would feel like that about anywhere, but I just don't know.....
I have looked up the ofsted, which was pretty average, although it did mention the lack of homework, and questioned whether they were prepared enough for high school.
Do you think it would be odd if I rang the head at the high school and asked him about it?

Dancer was thrilled to see us, and made me feel guilty for leaving her there She has Willy firmly junder the thumb, and was very viscious to him when he tried to come near the children, bless her. I am going to leave her there for another couple of weeks... She must come into season soon!

James has gone clay pigeon shooting with dad

I am still in my pj's

Really should get on.....

Oh and it's dh's birthday tomorrow, and I haven't a clue what to get him......

oooggs · 13/07/2008 11:22

caz - such a decision (glad its yours and not mine ) I'm sure they will be fine and you do need to look at the bigger picture, including how this will affect James and his travel - I am just starting to realise how much of a juggle children in different places will be

James at school in Cornwall, dts at nursery in Devon, me and db (db and I )driving around like headless chickens!!!!!!!

Jack managed to coax his way into our bed at 2pm and curled up at the bottom like a cat when he was soundo I lifted him into the travel cot (permanently in our room- so can split dts if one is too noisy ill)

I am home alone til lunchtime as dh has gone for a walk with dcs & mil (who is visiting from Hull, but staying elsewhere) off to my parents for tea.

I told my parents last night

WasStealthPolarBear · 13/07/2008 11:27

really oooggs? i thought you wre 'out' in rl?
what did they say?

oooggs · 13/07/2008 11:30

nope katy - just told mil & my parents this week and the obvious work boss etc that have to know, have a scan (12 weeks) on friday so will out after that date

anyway why miss the opportunity of outing ourselves (via James) at this well timed wedding reception on Saturday night [pass the milk]

oooggs · 13/07/2008 11:30

afternoon all

my littlest urchin and I are having issues today. He won't have a nappy put on, he won't get dressed, he will do absolutely anything he knows he shouldn't be. He was smacking me on the head with a spoon this morning and I got fed up of telling him no. I tried to change his nappy and even sitting on him wasn't working, so I slapped his leg. Not hard, and I have done with M in extreme circumstances before, but still don't want to have to resort to that. He got cross with me and went up for a sleep. He then slept for over 2 hours so I'm hoping he was only so bad because he was tired, but thinking it's unlikely! He does seem much better now, playing nicely and gave me a big hug

Thankfully M is with daddy until 4.30

Do you remember I was worried my narcolepsy was getting worse? I'm pleased to say that it seems to have stabilised. I usually have to stop on long journeys for a sleep, and there were very few days where I didn't need a nap for 10 mins. On Friday I drove home (1.5hrs) from the funeral with no problems and yesterday I did Eastbourne and back (2.5hrs each way) without needing to stop. I've been feeling much brighter in general, and I've been on time to work most days for weeks now, so looks like it might be ok again. Thankfully!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 13/07/2008 13:11

and oooggs, I know you've stayed at home while they went for a walk so you could watch shipwrecked

ooooooh, they'd better not cancel Martin Shaw tonight!

this'll make you smile, J is playing with a pair of binoculars that came off cbeebies magazine, ones that show Fireman Sam pics. He keeps closing his eyes before he puts the binoculars up to them so he's not seeing anything at all
