The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

Pmsl MrsC . Hello btw! How's tricks?

Hiya EaH. Not much to report here too. It's getting v quiet on this thread. Too much rl activity I suspect. I am much better now and just debating what to have for tea, and gearing up for an on-line shop.
Was there a mums race at E's sports day btw?

Had the first melt down by lo at a shop today. Thankfully we were in a quiet Homebase car park, where she decided to lay down in a car parking space and scream . Managed to persuade her in to the car seat by use of a dried pear......

Hi Lal. Hope you had a great holiday despite the pox, and are on top of your washing.

What's in the party bags then you two?

Hiya Vino . Hope you had a lovely day today with both of them. How was it? Sounds like all is going really well. Must bob round soon - any afternoons free the week after next?

UD how you feeling? And more importantly did you get any sleep last night?

Dragon pmsl at shoe polish. BEt you can't even bend down to clean shoes and use that as an excuse for sniffing . I'm another here who was a huuuuge fan of ice cubes. Used to drive dh mad with my crunching! And once made fil go to the bar and get me a glass of ice cubes!!
I went to Inverness a couple of years ago (where I ran my first 10km!) and loved it there.

2H remind me never to come for tea at your house .

Lizz did you get any come back at work re your discount?

Wilkie how's the new house? You unpacked yet? And did you start your new job this week or is it next? How's it going if you're there already? Where are you? Too many questions?

........

am fine thanks, Reggie, have pretty much recovered now and there's no further disease so I should be ok.

DS did that by the lifts in town on monday, I tried to get him back in the pram after the toyshop and he was NOT impressed, twisted and arched and shouted and whacked until I was red in the face with effort. As soon as the straps were done he fell quiet.

eandh · 10/07/2008 19:08

what beaker and what pot thing LTH

rgee - you decided on what to have for tea (saw your facebook status)

there was a mums race, however, I dont do running and conviently had Hattie to look after

LOL at the tantrums I let H walk in town this monring (on reins) and she threw a huge wobbly when I put her back in pushchair but we were running out of time to get back to collect Ellie, she continued screaming till she fell asleep she has developed a nasty habit of slapping normally Ellie if I am not watching but also lifts dh tshirt and really slaps his stomach or back

I posted befire my last post asking how you were and its not there (strange) glad to hear you are feeling ok

I have M&S choc swiss roll in kitchen have eaten a large piece already but its calling me

Report
Guadalupe · 10/07/2008 19:16

I'm ok. I get quite tired still but that's about it.

I love swiss roll, have been on a diet for three days now, so no cake. Had started to put on weight and women put on average 20 - 30 pounds after hysterectomy, I am determined that I won't. That must be partly due to age and hormones though.

Reggiee · 10/07/2008 19:16

Mmmm...would love a chocolate M&S swiss roll....

Am off to cook some trout (M&S). Will then bung it in a pan with garlic, spring onions, mushrooms and creme freh. Will report back on how screwed up dh's face is after first mouthful in an hour or so.....

Report
eandh · 10/07/2008 19:21

I resisted and had a jaffa cake instead

MrsC - I remember my mum always being a size 12 when I was little and she had her hysterctomy when I was 7 (she was 30) and she went up to a size 14/16 within a year and no matter how hard she tries she loses weight but always ends up back at 14/16 so that could explain some of it

Yes, reduced activity doesn't help as well as the hormone changes. I am already a 14 though so don't want to get bigger! I couldn't get my jeans on after we got back from camping last week, I had been wearing skirts and they are deceptive.

I went to Gap and tried some on, the 14's were a bit tight but I could do them up (mine must have shrunk a bit), and the 16 was too large so I thought I better watch what I eat. I have been stuffing cakes and drinking a lot, which is fair enough under the circumstances but still, I will be miserable if I get enormous.

Anyway, they were 12.99 in the sale and then I got to the counter and they were 7.99 so that was a bonus. I got two pairs.

Excellent bargain MrsC! I love it when something I actually want ends up cheaper at the till.

God, it's still pissing it down here. Yawn. Can someone remind me when summer starts?

YO!
Guadaloupe - good to see you on here. Nice Gap bargain btw. I hate not having a Gap in town. We have a very big Edingburh Wollen Mill though...flipping old people!

Eah - So agree with you on the running thing. I am not designed for running.

LTH - Good to see you today too. Wine - When???? Sorry the cup is pants. I have sold tons based on EAH's experience! I think PCF has one for DS1 also.

Rgee - All quiet on the dodgy discount front at work! Thanks for asking. I came clean to my assistant manager and acted dumb over it, and she poo poo'd it, so hopefully it will be ok.

BTW - everyone can I just say how trendy LTH looked today. You really wouldn't know she had 4 kids to get ready she looked immaculate.....I really must get my hair cut!

Right, DP is at a mates house tonight, his family are descending tomorrow for the weekend, and I need to make a cake and start cleaning the house before "Men in Trees" starts on Living!
Does anyone else watch "Miami Ink" too? Or is it just me who is a saddo? Very odd lady was just on it, with pointy eyelashes.

I have a hardcore headache, I think there is a thunderstorm due. Grr.

I think summer is over now.
We have all our winter clothes in work at the moment.
Some lovely denim short sleeved dresses in with different coloured buttons. Would look fab with coloured leggings or tights. Very cool. £12.99
Boys clothes are shit though.

DJ is going to a Pirate dressing up party in 2 weeks and I have his outfit sorted, but my friend needed an outfit for her DD. We had one in the sale for £5 (was £9.00) and I got it for £4. Bargainous! I am going to go through the sale rail in the stockroom with a fine toothcomb on Saturday finding as many bargains as I can!
