The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

Hello.
Feeling sorry for myself.
Am poorly.....sob.....much sympathy for Ellie. I have had a baaaad throat infection and fever. Got it on Thurs. Struggled to the churchy bit of a good mates wedding on Saturday, thanks to a fab mil, but too poorly to stay and chat to all my mates, enjoy the free bar and ridiculously nice food. Sob (again).

No do you think someone is trying to be me

theSuburbanDryad · 06/07/2008 20:43

How odd LaL. They would only have done it if you contacted them yourself.

Maybe email MNHQ and ask what's going on?

Lizzzombie · 06/07/2008 20:44

Rgee - poor you. Hope you are feeling better soon. Not fun. Free bar and illness. You poor thing.

LTH - forgot to ask did you have fun shopping the other week? What did you get?

Lal - Very odd, I am sure your deleted post was just about not catching CP wasn't it? Definately nothing dodgy!

I reckon our next thread title should be something about missing messages!

BTW - Breastfeeders - There are half price Freya nursing bras in Debenhams at the moment. £14 from £28. Won't post a link unless something odd happens!

Lizzzombie · 06/07/2008 20:49

Sorry - its 70% off not, 50% - have to post this link!

here

I really rate these bras in terms of support. BUT the pink floral version looks like viens imo. (I have it & it showed through my lighter coloured tops as though I just had really veiny boobs)

Wilkiepedia · 07/07/2008 15:30

Eek! Sorry LAL it was me. You mentioned me by name so I reported it but only asked for my name xxxxx to be changed to Wilkie and they have deleted whole post. Sorry mate I thought they would edit the post

laughalot · 07/07/2008 15:39

lol lol wilkie I thought I was going mad. I am sorry I used your name I must have been having a bad day xx

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 15:59

ugh - I have a bad feeling.
I just did something daft and "abused" my discount card at work. Went shopping with a mate who used it whilst I was there, but I am supposed to pay for the transaction. Unfortunately the girl who I had a run in with was at the till and saw, and will probably report me, and I will probably get told off...again.
Fingers crossed I don't.
There are no other jobs around here.
I feel very sick.

eandh · 07/07/2008 16:11

Oh poor Rgge and urban - hope you are feeling better

LAL - duh you silly woman!!!! (A's pressie gone in post 1st class recorded today and the card was specifically picked by E because it had a badge!)

Wilkiw hows the house?

Lizz - do you think she'd really be bothered to report it, did your mate pay cash or card (if cash cant you say you gave her the money as DJ playing up??)

I am so so bored at work today, Ellie phoned me sobbing earlier because they had been in town (with my Mum) she was hot so took her rain mac off and mum put it on buggy and now its lost, she was so distraught thought I was going to tell her off but Mum bought her a shocking pink high school musical rain coat/kagool with sparkly bits so now shes very happy Nanny lost her coat just phoned to see how they were and apparently hattie is naked (mum cant figure out if Ellie took her tshirt off or if she managed it herself somehow?)

Reggiee · 07/07/2008 16:13

Hi Lizz. You can always say you'd run out of cash so your mate was paying for you before you went to the cash point ....

Am off work today still recovering, but feeling much better. Have done very little!

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 16:14

Shes a total freak, so yup, she probably will say something to the manager. But, she knows I'm good mates with the managers girlfriend. I am so stupid. I should have got my friend to pay cash, but didnt think about it at the time.
Ugh!

eandh · 07/07/2008 16:14

see rgee and I can think of valid excuses for you

Glad you are feeling better Rgee

Reggiee · 07/07/2008 16:15

Eah not long til home time

eandh · 07/07/2008 16:15

What was teh value of the discount - is it going to cripple the companys profits

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 16:16

hmm, good idea. May have to think of a lie to tell just in case.

I swear, no one else I know does silly things at work. Just me. I've got a whole list of daft situations I've found myself in before.

I'm obviously designed not to work!

Right, I need to get my arse into gear and make a lasagne. Laters! x

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 16:18

It was only about £8!!!
I have been imagining headlines in the local paper all afternoon. "Sacked over £8" etc.
We have to sign a document which states how we will be disciplined for abusing store discount etc. So daft. If I'd ordered it online from home she would have used her card and no one would know.

Its karma.
Because I was nasty about this freaky other girl.

Oops!

Reggiee · 07/07/2008 16:19

Better go and do some surface tidying before dh and lo return. Although I feel I should sit here and 'recouperate'

eandh · 07/07/2008 16:21

42 minutes and counting (actually probably around 30mins and I'll sneak out early!)

......but I have a huge box so they may see (got a few more party bits and new filing thing for home)

Oooooo I forgot to tell you my fab news, I stopped getting tax credit in June 2006 when HMRC cocked up and overpaid us, anyway there fault, we appealed etc told that tough we had to pay it back so we havent had credits since (we only get the mnimum of £41 a month so was going to take till 2010 to pay back) got reading a thread on here in May emailed my MP (Ann WIDDECOMBE) she wrote to cheif officer at HMRC (took 2 emails with few deatils) and we had £1706 put back in our account last week (only noticed on saturday when I was checking bank balance online) phone Tax credits up who have now admintted their error and paid all credits we should have had (inlcuding the double payment for Hattie for the 1st year) and recommencing monthly payments form 21st July I can't believe it was so easy have sent a long very grateful letter to MP. Have been sensible with money (well apart from fact we went out for sunday lunch yesterday) paid off dh credit card, paid off next bill and sofas and made a huge chunk in my credit card bill (and put couple hundred away in holiday account so we can have extra spending money) woo hoo

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 16:42

eah - thats fabulous news! I'm puzzled over our tax credits atm. I thought when I started working 16 hours a week we'd get more. But we don't, we know get £100 a month less.

Rgee - hah! lol! I thought that was just me who did that!

eandh · 07/07/2008 16:46

strange think if you work more than 16hours a week you get help with childcare dont you? Have you checked on the online claculator thing?

I work 15.75 hours a week (well my contract says that but I actually work 14hours aweek) but because of dh pay we only get minimum

right need a wee then off to pick bograts up bye for now

Wilkiepedia · 07/07/2008 17:05

Tax credits - they have awarded up £4k this year!!! we have no idea why, possibly due to nursery fees of £100 per week but hey - it's paying for the new kitchen

Lizz - PMSL. Whoops. Daft things at work....hmm, I once told a customer at Vision Express that their glasses were 'wanky' instead of 'wonky'

I could have sworn that J said 'Crap' last night. Must watch my language

The cooker blew up last night in the middle of cooking Sunday lunch for the in-laws last night. So we had to go to the pub for tea...

Teeth brushing - J won't let me brush his teeth at night so I just give him the toothbrush with a smear of paste on it to chew. Is that OK?? Will his teeth rot? He is a biscuit monster

Lizzzombie · 07/07/2008 17:18

Teeth - DJ is the same. Just chews on it, and loves biscuits and cake. I try and give him some banana at the end of his evening meal, as it has a chemical in it which naturally kills off plaque. Apparently.
Lady next door has 4 yo DS, who has only just got the hang of brushing his teeth, but doesnt appear to have rotten stumps!

Dragonhart · 07/07/2008 19:32

Back from sunny Inverness! Actually it was hot and got tan marks from walking around in my vest top.

Decided not to go to wedding as I have been really struggling with walking and lifting. Just feel like I am about to have this one and I dont think that means I will feel any better in 5 weeks!

Tried to sell an old phone on ebay and got £26 for it and was chuffed as was going to bin it. Then ebay said they had removed the item as the sellers account was used without their permission. We were advised not to reply to the emails form the bogus buyer but now we are getting threatening messages from someone in Nigeria! Saying they paid us (which they have not) and that they will take legal action if we dont send phone. Ignoring them but fed up about it. Had some other things to sell but really put off it now so might just try loot. Dont understand why or how they got our email address.

Laughalot- Hope you had a good holiday.

Lizz- Thanks for the tip off for the Charlie and Lola exhibition. Will try and get there this weekend. Bras all sold out but will look for them elsewhere.

Wilkie- Happy new home! Bummer about the cooker though. I know loads of people who have problems getting their dcs to brush their teeth. One told me her dentist told her that it is not a worry til they are over 2. My two love having their's brushed but dont even mention cutting nails in this house or there are hysterics! I do have to let them do some themselves then do a quick brush after. I dont let them have toothpaste, just wet brush then they don tfight my brushing.

UD- Hope you are feeling better from feeling sick and from mastitus.

Rgee- Hope you are feeling better too.

EAH- Did you have a good time at the cinema? Also, chuffed about the tax credit money. Worth complaining about these things!!
