The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

DH - ooer! Weird ebay thing. How odd.
In my local Debenhams there were tons of those bras available. I think they are just out of stock on line.

Let us know about the Charlie and Lola exhibition. I'd LOVE to see it!

DH - we didnt get there because E had tonsilitis and ear infection (although once she kept the ab's down she was fine and could have stayed at Il's) glad you had a good time, we dont have a debenhams nearby or I would have had a look for you

Teeth - E used to scream till she hit 2 and then loved having her tetth brushed (iirc someone bought her electric childs toothbrush for 2nd birthday) now she spends ages cleaning her teeth and loves choosing a new toothbrush (we got new ones at dentist last week) h sort of sucks the paste off the brush and if I'm quick i can get it off her and do a quick scrub

Wilkie - woooo new kitchen!!!

Dh yes we had a scammer ring paypal they are the best people to sort it. My bil phone sold for £ 350.00 but turned out the bloke paying was using someone elses account I ended up ringing paypal and they sorted it however I was constantly getting emails from the bloke saying I paid ect ect just ignore them.

EAH- Sorry, obviously missed that. Hope you get there soon and that she's ok.

Lizz, Will let you know how it is. Also will look in Debenhams.

Laughalot- Will try that. I dont really get the scam though. Is the idea that you send the phone even though they havent paid? Doesnt seem worht it for a £26 phone!

Hi everyone - feeling much better now thanks. Still on the ab's though, so feeling pretty run down. Have got another scan this arvo so not gone into work as it would have only been a half day. Doesn't seem worth it for the extra sleep i could get!!

Wilkie - I always let Z brush his own teeth but I do mine at the same time so he see what to do! He's being a little shit at the moment though and tantrumming over the oddest things. This morning's major meltdown was because I wouldn't let him get in the fridge. I mean, WTF? Toddlers are just bonkers mad, aren't they?

Oh, and on the topic of stupid things said/done at work, I once asked a man with only one arm if he'd "like a hand with that" (putting his glasses on).

UD - How did the scan go?

  • I recently was joking with a regular customer at work who is in a wheelchair as she has no legs. I told her to "step away from the baby clothes"...

My manager was kicking me in the shins and I had no idea why.
She comes in loads though and it always dead chatty and never seemed offended by it.

UD hope you carry on feeling better
Reg, hope you're feeling better too
Both my boys like teeth brushing - ds2's always desperate to join in, which I reckon is pointless because he then goes and has his night bfeed!
DH glad Inverness was good, weird about the phone thing!
LTH hope ds4 behaving himself now! ds2 is turning into a right screecher. And a right daddy's boy, always wants dh and screeches if I pick him up. Pah! Ungrateful sod.
Made the foulest supper in the world alst night . Saw a lovely looking recipe for over-baked mackerel with tomatoes and olives but couldn't find mackerel on Asda online so got sardines instead. B L E U R G H And had repeating sardine burps all evening. Double bleurgh. So much for trying to get our quota of oily fish each week. I'll stick with the obviously poached slightly dodgy salmon I got off the childminder the other week!

2happy I read your first post and thought what on earth is overbaked fish??

I am doing seafood linguine for tea and dh is practically salvating at the mo as its one of his favs.

UD - how was scan?

Ellie had her indoor sports day today (I was allowed to stay and watch as on the commitee!) she beat all the boys in the sprint race (see I knew her weekly running with dh would pay off, she finished and wasnt even out of breath ) Hattie joined in a few races (albeit running with a breadstick in her hand)

Weird cravings so far- The smell of solventy things like shoe polish, petrol, varnish ect and anything I can crunch like ice or sweeties. Never had cravings before but I am desperate to sniff the shoe polish. What a freak!

No crying today for Luke going to playgroup! Hurray!

Just done my first online shop at Asda. Not coming til thu morning but quite excited

2happy- I have been force feeding myself oily fish as I am not a huge fish fan. Keep reading in my baby book (yes, still reading even though this is the 3rd time!) that my babies brain needs it. So I have been hiding tinned sardines in things. I dont mind salmon though. DO you know if fish paste has omega oils in it?

EAH- Congratulations to Ellie! Did she get a certificate?

Urban- Hope all was well today.

Scan went well.

Z has transformed into demon baby from hell.

I am genuinely considering putting him up for adoption.

This new baby had better fucking sleep better than its big brother.

Hello!!

I am finally getting round to posting and catching up on the thread. Sylvie is fed and wriggling on the floor beside me, Ellen is at nursery so there is peace in the vino household for once. Off out in a bit to get sylvie weighed and a few bits in boots (how exciting) then come home and put my feet up.

Our laptop and internet seem to be fixed now. DH got advice from a shop where we live, they suggestd buying a can of compressed air (£7) to get all the dust out of the inside of the laptop. We would never have thought of it! It seems to have stopped the overheating problem and DH took everything off the computer and then set it up again (after we had backed it all up I hasten to add!). So hooray I can MN again!

Life is going well. I am loving being a mum of 2. Nights are ok so far, only had a couple of bad ones. Feeding going much better than last time and although I have a small injury one one nip it seems to be healing a bit and it doesn't hurt when she feeds which helps!

Ellen mostly loves being a big sister, to he point that she smothers sylvie with kisses and is dying to pick her up on her own but the way she tosses her dolls over her shoulder scares me! She still likes slapping sylvie in the face though so we have a long way to go yet.

DH went back to work on Monday so I am adjusting to life at home again. I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
