HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:07

Awww daisy! You will have to make sure you get a double you love equally as much! I'll turn you into a pushchair hun yet !

I second foxy, new shoes are a neccessary purchase!

lackaDAISYcal · 24/06/2008 22:08

oops, that meant to say definately can't buy another handbag or DH will divorce me

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:13

A new changing bag? Like a handbag, but with justification!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:16

My new fridge! Sadly I'm actually really excited!

lackaDAISYcal · 24/06/2008 22:17

am jealous of your new fridge

who needs new shoes to feel all grown up

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:21

I've chosen what fridge I want (apparently we are not allowed to have a Samsung one even though they are cheaper because they sponsor Chelsea...LG are better because they sponsor Fulham ), now I have to spend 87 years trying to find the best price! Can't wait to get it though, it'll make such a difference. I'll be able to bulk buy and freeze it! Hurrah!

justRia · 24/06/2008 22:25

DH is being an idle twunt.

Off to catch up...

'lo Ria

How about one of those Organised Mum books Daisy? I am currently perusing ...

I did wonder about saying 'all grown up' I meant sort of grown up in a non-mummy way....

oh, I'll get me coat

justRia · 24/06/2008 22:30

Lewin is a nice boys name... I (I think) am good at names, though I have about a million girls names... my next 5 cats and my coveted greyhound are taken care of before their arrival

Evenin
Checking in for my late shift

Pleased everyone is still here

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:32

I have loads of girls' names in my imaginary children list, no boys' though.

I have an Organised Mum calendar, it is great, although I have had it for 9 months and haven't yet been organised enough to put it on the wall !

foxythesnowfox · 24/06/2008 22:33

Evening DKMA

Lewin is good.

Whats up with DH Ria?

How's life DKMA?

justRia · 24/06/2008 22:35

I got pink gardening gloves from tesco. I don't wear them though, I just bought them cos DH and the boys all have some. (I have bought visiting BIL a tasteful pair of leopard print marigolds for his welcome gift!)

I currently have hands like a 13 yo after their first hair-dye experience. I used the boys crayola washable paint to do a welcome banner for dsis, and decorated it with handprints (waving hello), even the washing up from tea (that Dtwunt didn't do while I took the boys out) hasn't soaked it off.

hi foxy.

Checking in but should really be checking out

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:37

Oooo, tasteful ria! I want some leopard marigolds (although I don't wear washing up gloves because I hate the smell, like condoms, yuk!). The banner sounds great, hope your sis likes it!

justRia · 24/06/2008 22:38

still sometimes wonder if it would have been a better name for baggins Silas too!

I am hungry.

A quick query for those of you who know about food. for tea we had pasta with sausage, a tiny bit of bacon, mushrooms, cherry toms, chilli flakes and cream. within 10 mins of eating it I felt really ill and dizzy. Any ideas?

Hi sputnik and DKMA!

DKMA · 24/06/2008 22:38

LOL Ria
Hi Foxy
T'would seem that I have a 1yr old who is going through the terrible 2's?!!
How do you deal with these lo's when they have a tantrum? or get stroppy and pull hair? Scratch?

I'm feeling a need to read a child development book (oh god!)

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:41

DKMA, pull said child off your hair/face/boob and deposit on floor, leave until quiet! When my ds gets into a strop he won't be held or cuddled or fed, the only thing to do is just let him get on with it. He can sometimes be distracted with breadsticks or strawberries, but not very often!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/06/2008 22:44

Cripes, just seen what the time is! I was going to have an early night, bugger!

I'm off then, byeeeee x

foxythesnowfox · 24/06/2008 22:45

what Holly said

foxythesnowfox · 24/06/2008 22:47

I'm off too. Just did a Lakeland order, and my Organised mum order (thanks DP. That'll teach you to go to the pub after work )

Night all.

lackaDAISYcal · 24/06/2008 22:51

agree...put said child on floor and ignore! DD has had three tantrums since her first one that came 6 bays after her birthday . she is quite persistent though and can go on for over 20 minutes...gaaaargh.

Am still picking myself off the floor at the organised mum calendar suggestion . As i keep telling DH, "you can buy me any number of notebooks/diaries/memos/filofaxes, but you can't make me remember to fill the bloody things in"

I've just joined the ABM so I can do their Mother Supporter Module and then BFC course.

Am thinking I might treat myself to a splurge in that on-line retro sweetie shop

Am off to bed to finish my book...the follow up to Chocolat...'tis very good.

Night all.

We're off to toddler group tomorrow. It started in April and I've never actually made it there yet , and then I'm seeing my shrink in the afternoon.

justRia · 24/06/2008 22:53

think I might let the late-nighters down too. Kingdom on tv, hungry and tired (not to mention purple)

back tomorrow!
