LG&T....; I can not find my chic greeny bump band, lord knows where I've stashed it. I did find a black one though. Will post it tomorow morning for you. Should be there Tuesday I would guesse. Hope it's not too big. xx

MKG · 03/07/2008 11:46

LG&T dh was very funny, He called me during his break at work yesterday and it went a little like this

DH: Hi how are you?
ME: Pregnant
DH: So what did you do today?
ME: Nothing just found out I was pregnant.
DH: . . . . .silence
ME: Hello???
DH: What I'm here.
ME: I tell you I'm pregnant and you don't say wow, congratulations or anything.
Dh: What? I didn't hear you.
ME: I'm P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T
DH: How do you know?
Me: I peed on a bunch of sticks.
DH: Oh well, that's good.
ME: you're an idiot.

PJ - I found her through a recommendation from a friend. She is one of the expert panel on the (whisper it) Gina Ford website. If I just had that bit of information there is no way I would have gone to see her, but... my friend had had such success with her DS who was a truly terrible sleeper that I thought it was worth a try. Her method does involve tears (1.5 hrs on the first night but very little since then), but A really has learned to settle himself again if he wakes, he will lie down again and drop off cuddling his cat.

Nothing she said was revolutionary (I think I did know what to do really) but having a concrete plan and her assurance that it would work really helped.

Have you tried asking on here if anyone knows a good sleep person in Liverpool?

Pinkjenny · 03/07/2008 12:46

Lulu is onto it for me - she lives very near me. That's brilliant though - hope you feel a bit more sane!

Bensonbluebird · 03/07/2008 13:00

I do feel much less inclined to run about wailing and yelling and tearing my hair out.

My friend's mum said that they had thier eldest son hypnotised to get him to sleep, apparently he still sleeps like a log and he is in his late 40s. Will you be swinging a pendulum over Lexie tonight?

MKG · 03/07/2008 13:39

Well after a wonderful vacation I'm off to work now. I really don't want to leave the kids, but gotta make money.

Lupins71 · 03/07/2008 13:56

MKG at least you can go in smiling with a little secret under your hat, doh at your numpty dh - men eh!

Ahhhhh just ad a nice sleep, dd is now in good books for letting mummy rest

Lupins71 · 03/07/2008 13:58

I see talk of belly bump bands floating around, has anyone used those ones that you attached to your trousers as extenders? Just won some ebay jeans so can escape my traky bottoms, comfy but not cool to be seen out in me thinks

largeginandtonic · 03/07/2008 14:18

MKG still Smile away at work, it is such lovely news. Numpty dh although realistically he is probably thinking ffs we have sex once and she is knocked up, when we will we ever have to try to have a baby

Benson glad the sleep help was good, Pink you deffo need it. Someone to tell you what to do is very reassuring sometimes.

DD has had her appointment of the day, bless her. All well, they did an ECG and a scan of her heart, perfect! Phew. Took another 3 hours though and just like yesterday B and Hugo were not helpful.

We are having ishooos with my ex again over pennies. We had agreed a plan for this year and he has now just changed it all swearing blind i had agreed to it. Is a nightmare. DH gone off to sea with his bank card as i assumed my bank would have money in it from ex. But oh no Have just managed to sort of salvage situation for this month but gawd knows what will happen next month. DH not home till middle of August. Why does he have to make everything do complicated? Why is he such a knob? Why oh why was i ever with him

Lord help me i may lose the little sanity i had left...

largeginandtonic · 03/07/2008 14:20

Ooooooh ta MrsJB >

Wont be buying a new one now Blardy ex.

JamInMyWellies · 03/07/2008 14:23

LG&T fuckwit! You need a mediator who will make you both sign a sort of contract of agreement regarding the money or make it more official and get help from a solicitor, you may qualify for legal aid. Can DH when he next docks fed ex you the bank card or is he able to transfer money via internet banking. What can we do to help?

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 03/07/2008 14:26

Aw you are lovely. I have told ex he has to pay me at least some money or the children will starve. If he really pisses me off he knows i can keep the children from going off on his Center Parks hol with him at the end of this month. He has coughed up enough to keep us all alive.

Ypu know he claims poverty this month and next becuase he is taking the children on holiday and is getting married (to the slut) in August, on my birthday What do you say to that >

JamInMyWellies · 03/07/2008 14:32

He is an ever bigger fuckwit infact I may even need to use the cnut word about him and I save that for the really bad people. If he can afford to do center parks then he can defo afford to give you money for the kids to eat.

Rolling my eyes towards heaven for you

LG&T - Glad the cardio apt went well. A friend of mine went through the CPA for maintenance recently even though she knew she would end up with less money becuase she was so sick of her ex changing his mind about how much he was going to give them (or his mum telling him to give them less money). Is this an option for you? Can't understnd why he thinks it is reasonable to pass his budgeting problems on to his kids...

elkiedee · 03/07/2008 15:24

LGT, grrr at your ex.

Themasterandmargaritas · 03/07/2008 21:32

largeginandtonic · 03/07/2008 22:01

'man up' both of you

scootermum · 04/07/2008 10:07

Congrats MKG

I wouls sincerly like to man slap youe ex largegandt..what a fuckwit.Come and stay with me for a weekend whilst DH is away if you like..you bring the cake, I will bring the gin..
Glad dd's appt went well, one good thing at least..

Nice to see you charley and BBB..

8 Weeks?Blimey..Ive been on my own with L and M for approx 4 hours today and am tearing hair out (why o why must they wake up between 5 and 6 on a daily basis!)

Had a vile day yesterday. Some oik tried to steal my bag at Highbury and Islington tube station. He was tugging on it as he ran past but didnt realise I had it with the long strap across the body.He gave up in the end, not before I fell over though.Ended up with London wet-tube- station- floor grime all over one side of self and two big bruises on elbow and thigh to show for it.(He didnt get my bag though, little b***d!)This made me late for a disciplinary hearing at which I had to sack someone (which was horrid). Then as I was driving home whilst stuck in traffic someone reversed out of their drive and into the side of my car!At which point I laughed the laugh of a maniac on the edge as I took down his insurance details..

So I am just now waiting for them the pick up my car and drop off my hire car, whilst assembling festival gear.Trouble is short shorts do not look good with huge bruises (I do not want to channel the Amy Winehouse look) and feck knows what the weather will be like and I cannot find my mack anywhere.
Where the feck is it?!!

Bensonbluebird · 04/07/2008 11:23

Oh Scoot what a day! I was going to say that after that you are bound to have a brilliant time festivaling, but the weather forecast for the weekend does not look good...better find that mac (or a bin bag ).

I'm deeply envious of you swaning off and ashamed that DP and I haven't managed to go out together once since A was born. We have no rellies nearby and whenever we do arrange to go out one of the boys is always ill. The funny thing is that most of our friends are in the same position but we never quite get round to organising ourselves into a baby sitting circle. Must get my act together.
