Dont even go there about the shirts DP was banging on about no crease so I told him to fook off and iron them himself if he was that bothered.

ShowOfHands · 25/06/2008 15:32

Fab news on the room TYG! I can't believe it, not only do you bear him two beautiful children, you have to iron for him as well. DH irons all of his own shirts and it's a thorough job as it's force standard.

Jam, of course you're preggo you silly thing. Relax, this is your trouble-free second baby. It's the 3rd that's notoriously difficult. You'll find out soon enough.

Bye MrsJB, enjoy yourself. Poor ol' Centre Parcs, eh?

Lups, I still can't believe you're pg!

MKG · 25/06/2008 16:41

Alright ladies, how early can someone get morning sickness? I still have a week before I can test, but I've been nauseous for days now, especially after I take my vitamins. I don't know if it's stress, my vitamins, or a pregnancy. Although my toilets have never been cleaner. I went to vomit this morning (I never vomit, maybe once every 5 years or something) and I noticed that my toilet was disgusting.

I'm tempted to go buy a test now, but I know it's way too early.

TillyScoutsmum · 25/06/2008 17:28

Glad the scan went well Jam

Have fun at Centreparcs Madame"I'm a non smoker"Jaffa

SOH - I have a thing for ginger as well... I'm particularly a fan of really hot ginger beer - got some from M&S the other (called extremely fiery or something) and it was fab

twelveyeargap · 25/06/2008 17:46

Could be stress MKG, but fwiw, I did a test 4 days before my period was due and got a positive result on A. It was one of the digital tests where there's no "is it a line or isn't it" palaver. They're called Clearblue Easy Digital in the US. Their stats say 82% get an accurate result 4 days beforehand. As I'm sure you know, a positive result is definitely positive, a negative result could mean that you tested too early.

Fingers crossed for you!

twelveyeargap · 25/06/2008 17:51

And for the benefit of Lupins, I am having an utterly trouble free THIRD pregnancy.

MKG · 25/06/2008 19:00

Gotta love clear blue.

LG&T how's the student working out?

Themasterandmargaritas · 25/06/2008 19:09

Lups - utterly trouble three third pregnancy here too

The difference from having one to going to three is like having a pet and owning a zoo Not easier than the transition from one to two but different.

Ooooo MrsJB, have a fabulous time. No children

MKG I knew I was pg third time round a week before my af was due, I just knew.

MrsJB could be just you, me and April left for a virtual piss up in future.

TYG, well done to little A for surviving nursery. J only ever cries when he sees me, the minute he is with Margaret (who does all the ironing, sorting and tidying whilst looking after J at the same time, have I mentioned that before?) he shuts up. She put him to bed tonight as I took the dc to the theatre.

Ooooliver, olllliver, never before has a boy asked for more.

MKG · 25/06/2008 19:17

Master that is just what scares me because with Cruz I bought my pregnancy test and prenatal vitamins at the same time. I just knew. I don't know about now though.

On a sad not, my friend who I've known since high school, and lives three houses down from told me she's moving on FRIDAY!!! Her husband had a really good job offer, and is going to start training next week. It's only 2 hours away, but I'm so sad about it. Happy for her, but sad for me.

twelveyeargap · 25/06/2008 19:21

Oooh, some staffing oneupmanship, TheMaster.

MKG · 25/06/2008 19:28

Who has a staff? I mean honestly who do you have to know to have a staff?

MKG · 25/06/2008 19:29

I think it's funny we all call her Master now. Yes Master (like zombies or something)

JamInMyWellies · 25/06/2008 19:44

ah see now I have alreAdy done 1 - 2 (the dog is more work than a child) should be a doddle when this one pops out.

Have just had a girl over from our village who is interested in a little babysitting whats the going rate these days?

The master eh and with staff now. Soon we will have to ask permission to speak with her yes maam no maam how do you like your martini

MKG go on you know you want to take a test.

OP posts:
Madamejaffa · 25/06/2008 19:49

I think she should be TheMAM!!

I AM going to have FAB time, I am going to drink shit loads a little, dance on the tables beautifully and sleep late miss my children and husband like mad. I am NOT going to smoke though!

MKG............;; gotta love clear blue?
Why did you say that? have you tested?

MKG · 25/06/2008 19:54

No I haven't tested yet. I will not test until next week. I just love clearblue. You just pee on it and it tells you. No waiting for lines. Is it a cross, is it blue, is it pink. It's the idiot proof pregnancy test.

Madamejaffa · 25/06/2008 19:56

lol at idiot proof testing!!

MKG · 25/06/2008 20:08

What, how many MN threads have there been where "it's a faint line", "is it an evaporation line?" Hello, Clearblue is simple, Pregnant/Not pregnant. There's no thinking involved. The less thinking I have to do the better.

twelveyeargap · 25/06/2008 20:19

I love TheMAM.

Have a wonderful time MrsJB. I am so jealous pleased for you.

MKG - I think TheMAM has "staff" because when ex-pats live in Africa that's what they do. In fact, (though correct me if I'm wrong TMAM) I think it would be frowned on if "wealthy" people (ie people on foreign salaries) in Kenya didn't employ some locals and add to the economy.

I have a lovely Polish girl who comes and cleans twice a week for 4 hours, but I shouldn't really call her "staff". I'll have a full staff later when DH makes millions and buys me a big country house.

Themasterandmargaritas · 25/06/2008 20:20

shut up Have a lovely time MrsJB

I'm not competitive TYG, honest. I just am in wonder every day at the marvel that is Margaret.

Themasterandmargaritas · 25/06/2008 20:23

oooo yes you are right TYG, even the Kenyan middle classes have staff. We all keep the economy ticking along nicely.

Simple MKG, move to Afica and you can employ as many people as you want. For peanuts naturally And if you are really colonial you can call them servants.

AprilMeadow · 25/06/2008 20:28

MrsJB you have a fantastic time. I LOVE CP. Oh the rapids and the boardwalk (you are going to Longleat arent you?)

TheMAM - fantastic! Master indeed - hehehe.
No staff here in the Meadow house. I do send my ironing out to my mum who charges £10ph. Would like to get a cleaner but dh has a bet with a friend that i will give in very quickly and ask to get a cleaner in so i am determined to do it myself

Hello SOH

If you have a Staffsmeet up then maybe Creena could go she lives up that way. Have emailed her to see how the 20wk scan went.

I have a LIST (not a Spreadsheet) that is a mile long of things i need to do this week and annoyingly i have done the fun things first and left myself with the horrid boring, hard ones. Want to get the house up straight before the weekend but not sure how likely that will be.

twelveyeargap · 25/06/2008 20:40

Your new house is huge AM. You are craaaayyyzzeee if you can afford a cleaner and do it yourself.

ShowOfHands · 25/06/2008 21:08

That house...

Can't wait for my next visit to down south, will be your common friend pulling up in our VW polo with folk music blaring. Can I stay in the East Wing? Will warn you in advance so you can go out. Tried to message you on FB btw AM but keeps refusing to send. Am not ignoring you, I promise my love.

MKG, as soon as the egg fertilizes you start to produce different hormones so depending on how sensitive you are, morning sickness can kick in early. I knew I was pg 8days post ovulation but not through sickness, I just knew which must have been hormone changes.

I am going to be the only non-preggo person left on here. You're all mad blooming.

MKG · 25/06/2008 21:37

Thanks for the info SOH I was never sick with the other two, so this is all kinda new to me. Watch me come back next week with a negative test and you'll all think I'm an idiot. Which is why I need the idiot proof pregnancy test.

TillyScoutsmum · 25/06/2008 21:51

SOH - I'll join you

Congrats MKG (assuming you are )

Anymore for a staffs meet up - you can't all live on the South Coast or in tractor country can you ??!
