Sorry if someone else has already started one - couldn't find it!

Much better night last night, maybe due to gripe water?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thanks for that Sal and Ladybee. I might leave it till the showing next Wednesday in the vague hope that it will be less popular than tomorrow's showing (and gives me more time to train Oli to sit nicely!)

Hello all - sorry have been awol again, the time gets away from me, and then Molly had to go into hospital this week with gastrothingy, (tummy bug) She is OK now but it scared me to death seeing her all floppy and quiet - it doesn't take much for them to become dehydrated and they change so quickly from OK to really not. Her appetite still isn't back but she's stopped being sick now so we are just building the feeds back up slowly. Me and DSD also had the bug, mine came on while I was in hospital with Molly, which was inconvenient to say the least! But the nurses were so helpful bless 'em.

Congrats to peachy on your degree and birthday and Bas' weight! And for being A Bigger Person too.

I am a very small person most of the time at the moment cos am so damn tired but DP is being nice and useful and not noticing my grumpiness.

Hello everyone else too - will try and catch up now while Mol is asleep. She's gone down for a nap in her cot, for like, the first time EVER I think in the day. Might be cos she's still knackered from being so poorly, but I do quite like having the time
Should be houseworking, but needless to say, am not.

EllieG · 10/07/2008 09:40

Ladybee - just read your post. That is so good to know - really useful. I am going to buy that book it sounds sensible. I was getting quite worried that Mol was in a bad habit for still needing a feed in the night when it seems that's OK.

Bugger she's waking up. See you later!

scorpio1 · 10/07/2008 10:30

Ellie - i wondered where you were!! And Mol getting up in the night for a feed is normal

Not much to report here.

DD has a virus, GREAT!
She has a sore throat, huge tonsils and is bursting into tears at everything and anything.

I knew something was coming on last night so texted my friend whose house she goes to before school to say she wouldn't be going and this morning she told DP she felt fine enough to go to school. Needless to say, I told her she was staying off and can guarantee if I hadn't, I'd be off to pick her up by now, she would have definitely been sent home.

Just hope Lex doesn't get it! and it doesn't turn into tonsillitis.

scorpio1 · 10/07/2008 11:00

ahhh, poor girl. There is so much doing the rounds down here - MEASLES (!!!) and D&V. Do not get me started on the measles thing.

EllieG · 10/07/2008 13:45

Other parents at your DD's school are very lucky that you are such a sensible mummy VS, makes me bit narked when kids are sent to school when not well as just infect all the others. Hope she is better soon x

Hey scorpio

VictorianSqualor · 10/07/2008 14:14

Well, DD's best friend is going on holiday on friday, and that's who she gets a lift to school with as well, which i didn't want to risk

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 07:32

arrrrrrggghhh

the housing people have taken 3x my rent out of dh bank account today. god we are having all the luck!! place your bets now on me getting it back today..... 0.

LadyBee · 11/07/2008 09:26

Does that mean you got your money back Scorpio? What a relief!
It's a lovely morning, think I'm going to revise plans for the cinema, not sure I can justify spending what looks like it will be the nicest day all week in the dark
hmmm, what to do, what to do? Could head into the city and see if I can find anything useful in the sales..hmm, got to go to registry office and pick up another copy of birth certificate..or should probably spend day cooking the freezer meals I bought food for the other day (gordon brown will growl me if I waste it all now).
Right now, best go have shower

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 09:30

lol, yes i did. their mistake

Freezer meals sounds good. Likes the best day here too that we have had all week. Think DH has to work for a bit tomorrow though.

EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:04

DD has just gone down for a nap in her cot for the second day running! [Ellie does a little dance for new-found 45mins of freedom]
Am trying to teach her about going down for daytime naps rather than on me, is a bit hit and miss bless her, but we'll get there. I really want some regular time back to donothing do housework

Glad you got your rent money back from them thieving so and so's scorpio

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 10:14

Yes Ellie, be strict!!

Had to wake Mimi up again today

EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:41

I think am going off you scorpio [ellie wanders off muttering to self about other people with their perfect children]

She's woked up now all perky. So have brought her downstairs for her to play on her babygym thing. I am speaking encouragingly to her whilst MNing. Am I a bad mummy? Probably.

Had a scare today. Realised I couldn't remember name of the holiday cottage had booked in France in Aug and had not got the booking ANYWHERE

Have just trawled round google though and have found it after looking through all the gites in Brittany it seems thank goodness, think DP would have killed me. Imagine. 'Sorry darling we can't go on holiday, I've forgotten where we're supposed to be going'

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 10:44

i didnt ever really like you much anyway

Oh goodness, lucky you found it. We have a gite too, end of August/beginning Sept. Yay!!

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 10:52

Oh and Ellie - i know i am prob getting annoying now, but really, you have no idea how much that pump has helped me. Thanks

EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:52

I can't wait for my hol! Is almost like honeymoon now too cos is the week after the re-scheduled wedding apart from we're obviously bringing the kids.

Molly is mning now she squeeked so am giving her cuddles but not impressed. Must go sing incey wincey spider or similar

EllieG · 11/07/2008 10:54

Aw shucks...don't mention it x

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 13:40

Mimi laughed yesterday. SOOOOOOO cute.

sagitta · 11/07/2008 16:21

I am so proud of myself. Just completely tidied and cleaned the place, done the shopping. We've 4 for dinner tonight, 6 tomorrow and 7 for coffee on Sunday.
Just one problem, A slept all day yesterday after her jabs, and was - understandably - quite bored in the night, and told us all about it. So while I am technically ready for all these people, all I want to do is ....zzzzzzzzzzzz

Have a good weekend everyone

PeachyBAHons · 11/07/2008 21:21

tidying? remind me....

Bas is laughing and has a tooth- he's growing up way too fast!

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 21:22

A tooth??????

a proper one?

scorpio1 · 11/07/2008 21:23

Can i ask a really stupid question? What about BFing and teeth? I want to BF until she is 1 and dont know what you 'do' about teeth

PeachyBAHons · 11/07/2008 21:25

bf ds3 way after teeth you get the odd nip but honestly, its fine
