Sorry if someone else has already started one - couldn't find it!

Much better night last night, maybe due to gripe water?

Have emailed thePFJ saying she has been thought of on here a few times and we are wondering if she is ok and to let us know if she needs anything.

I think PAL is on her facebook so maybe she'd be able to see if she has logged in or anything lately?

We have one in the city (OXford) and DP had said that for his birthday (25th july) he wants to go for a meal with me and the kids, so we may as well go there.
We might be coming to Cornwall soon as well, he wants to see Tintagel?

LadyBee · 07/07/2008 12:00

blah feeling very low today. Hope it's just the grey day and general tip-like state of the house - just can't seem to generate any motivation today and the enormous pile of laundry to be put away, mess in the kitchen, etc etc is the only thing I've got to look forward to. Can't even summon up feeling pleased that DS slept 8:30-7:30 with one feed at 2:30 last night. Poor nips feeling a bit raw - he's been a bit of a piglet recently, but if that's what it takes I guess I'll do it!

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 12:14

I didn't think Tintagel was all that, its a way from me too though. I am right at the bottom of Cornwall, lol. But of course can meet if you want? Will hopefully see you all in London next month anyway...

Ladybee - keep your chin up. Growth spurts are rough times...will be better soon

sagitta · 07/07/2008 13:23

Hi all. Hope you had good weekends.

I've got a question. Do you think I can leave A with a babysitter for the evening when she will be 10 weeks? I don't know a babysitter, so would have to find one that could give her a bottle etc, knows about babies. My sister says she's too young, but I think it'd be OK. What do you all think? Have you used one yet?

sagitta · 07/07/2008 13:24

VS - so glad to hear you are feeling better - I hope that is still true.

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 07/07/2008 13:28

i'm actually feeling quite chirpy today [smle], had ds1 home for lunch as he's still not coping at breaks and quite frankly someone had to do something.... and it was quite nice having time with him , having him home 3 days weekly until Octobrer then ig he's still not coping by November shall damned well make LEA put in extra 1-1 hours.

My birthday present from my Mum arrived a day early and is sitting in front of me.... hmmmm.... shall I open or not?????

(can't beieve I have to get bas weighed on my brthday! but there is a lady who does those little ceramic handprints etc comig into baby club so that'll be nice)

Bas chatting loads today- very sociable.

VS hope you're ok, pfj if you read this thinking of you.

Right got to go order corsage for ds2 to give his date at the prom next week....

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 13:28

sagitta - i think its fine, i have left Mimi 4 times with my mum. first time i went out she was 2 weeks.

Try asking at nursery/local college/childrens centre.

sagitta · 07/07/2008 13:32

Mmm, if it was my mum, I'd be fine. Its just with a stranger that's a bit worrying. I think my next door neighbour would do it, but she hasn't got kids..do you reckon that'd be OK?

Have you opened your present, Peachy?!

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 07/07/2008 13:35

nope not yet- havent decided lol

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 13:37

are you going far sagitta?

VictorianSqualor · 07/07/2008 13:38

I think it would be fine sagitta. There are agencies where you can get experienced sitters to watch your child.

Maybe post either on your local board or the main board (chat gets the most readers tbh) asking if anyone in your area knows of someone?

I think the most reputable agency is called Sitters but I've never used them.

sagitta · 07/07/2008 13:43

We''ll be about half an hour away.

Good idea about sitters, VS, thanks!

I admire your patience, Peachy! Maybe you should save it till tomorrow. If it was me, I'd know that DH wouldn't have remembered to get me anything, so it'd probably be my only present!

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 07/07/2008 13:50

dh got me this already

i know he took the boys shopping for me Saturday too

I get spoiled mostly, 'cept for the year he gave me a burgundy brolly but that was just a fluke so I'm grateful

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 14:36

Arse. i have lost my tweezers and am sporting a monobrow

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 14:46

Jamie keeps asking to try EBM...when i express he starts clapping at me and saying well done mummy you got milk from your nipples

and today when i wa tipping it in a freezer bag he asked for some but i didn't give him any...What do you think? He is 3.8. From a cup.

PeachyHidingInTheShed · 07/07/2008 15:49

wouldnt bother me in the slightest tbh and I would worry that refusing it might trigger jealousy

annamama · 07/07/2008 15:53

Why not, let him try a little bit! He's just curious and he probably won't even like the taste. Have you tried it? I have, I think it's yukky, very sweet, a bit like soya milk. We keep joking around that we will make tea with EBM if we have ppl around, and see if they say: Mmm what a nice cup of tea!

Yeah sometimes it's nice to have a break from husband/partner. That's normal, everyone needs some space!

My dd has now jumped up to the 25th centile in weight! (from 2nd & 9th) She is getting quite fat. I don't forcefeed her or anything but I guess I just have lots of milk for her (finally).

LadyBee hope you feel better soon! My mood is up and down a lot. Up is nicer than down obviously...

VictorianSqualor · 07/07/2008 16:33

Let him have it Scorpio, I did with Bobby. He's not at all bothered now though.
He had some ebm first then asked if he could have 'boob milk from your boobs' I was a bit about it but he tried it once then stopped, now he laughs about 'boob milk'.

scorpio1 · 07/07/2008 16:41

OK good. Will let him have some if he asks again, just thought it might be strange because he has never had any; i dont associate him with BM at all iyswim?

Mum2BabyRoo · 07/07/2008 16:46

VS - your DP and I share the same birthday! A good day for sure!

Sorry you are feeling down LadyBee - hope you feel cheerier now...

That is some tent Peachy! Wow!
