Morning oooggs

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 09:59

Morning!

elkiedee · 17/06/2008 10:13

Morning! D is at the doctors with dp, who was going to be off work today and trying to see a doctor for himself anyway. They both have appointments this morning, D's first in a few minutes time. He seemed ok over breakfast but had quite a disturbed night and it seemed as well for him to see the doctor. Of course I'm worrying about him and probably won't focus much on work today.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so awful oooggs.

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 10:55

Hope drs appts go ok for D and for your DP Elkie - what's up with DP?

cazboldy · 17/06/2008 11:09

Hello all

Just heard that dh's gran died this morning

And I am feeling very guilty as she has never seen Molly.........

I tried to take her, but she lives in a tiny house,so it's really hard to all go at once and whenever I rang about going to see her, I was always put off by her nurse, or her daughter.....

Hope D is ok at the doctors Elkie (and dh of course!)

Hope all pg ladies are not feeling too rotten xxxx

Eddas · 17/06/2008 11:18

caz

elkiedee · 17/06/2008 11:20

Doctor's advice for D seems to be perhaps he's getting a cold, carry on as we're doing anyway, Calpol and keeping him cool, dp may still be in his own appointment, his knee hurts and has done for weeks, and I've been telling him to go to the doctor. DP and I are registered with two different practices in the same building, not sure why they split, and I registered D with my GP as I was the one on maternity leave taking him to all initial checks.

Caz, sorry about your dh's gran. But you shouldn't feel bad, you tried hard to arrange something by the sound of it.

Doobydoo · 17/06/2008 11:30

Caz.
Morning All.Haven't caught up but hope all is ok[ish].
Off to get M as he is screaming.xx

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 11:34

Oh Caz

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 11:43

Morning all. At work so just a fly in and out.

Caz, I am really sorry to hear about your dh's gran. Sounds as though you made many attempts at arranging a visit, so don't feel bad.

Oooggs, hope you are ok.

Elkie, hope your men-folk are ok

Hi Dippy!!

All ok here, although K has the most vile green snot pouring out of her and woke up at 5.45 as she couldn't breathe very well. Yuk yuk. Poor lamb.

oooggs · 17/06/2008 11:51

oh caz - you tried

At work so need to be quick - Caz very sorry to read your news but don't blame yourself - whatever happens, whatever we do, loose ends are inevitable. It's very, very rare that when somebody dies you can say - we said everything we needed to.

mammyjo · 17/06/2008 12:04

Caz, so sorry to hear about your dh's gran , but as others have said, you tried to visit. You have nothing to feel guilty for xx

SOL, hope K is ok. F has odd smelling breath this morning, you know the smell when they are not well Well I know what I am talking about!

Elkie, hope D is ok and that dp gets sorted!

Sexonlegs · 17/06/2008 12:40

MJ, absolutely pmsl! I do know what you mean Pisha talks about funny smeeling breath too when her dc are ill.
How are you doing? x

Hi NL Work gets in the way of MN doesn't it??

mammyjo · 17/06/2008 13:23

Having a better day today [phew emoticon]. Pain not bad at all, just a bit grumbly. Hope that it continues!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/06/2008 14:03

bookmarking you!

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 15:47

Afternoon all!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/06/2008 16:35

why is it they always sleep when you need to be doing something elsewhere?????

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 16:50

....because they know

elkiedee · 17/06/2008 16:53

Because they're babies? It's one of the reasons why I often just let D sleep in his buggy during the day - then I can just take him out like that, and take the things I need when he wakes up, nappies, food etc. (The other is that if we're not going out, if he opens his eyes and sees someone he sometimes goes back to sleep, whereas if he wakes up alone he'll cry).

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 17:02

It's all about individual preferences and lifestyles coices!! How are you feeling Elkie? DP been to dr yet? How was D?

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 17:03

choices, even!

elkiedee · 17/06/2008 17:39

D often falls asleep at a time which is less than ideal for us even so though. In his first few weeks it was the Breastfeeding Network Group that he always slept through!

I'm about to leave to go and find out how D and dp are doing, tried calling but I think dp's probably in the middle of something now. I'm feeling zonked, but have just munched some very nice crisps to get me through typing a last memo before I go. Just hanging on to say bye to the boss.

dp's doctor not sure what was up, his symptoms had gone into hiding at the time, for once it wasn't hurting.

Hope to see you all later, but if not it's probably because I've fallen asleep on the sofa again, or something.

cazboldy · 17/06/2008 18:25

Thank you all for being kind

And NL - your words are very true x

CaptainDippy · 17/06/2008 18:58

Aw, bless you Elkie - It is tough being Pg and having a LO in tow. xx

Hey Caz
