Caught up a bit now! I miss you lovely ladies when I don't 'see' you for an while!

Apricot sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Hope you both feel better soon... You are a very brave lady to try camping with a baby! Dh and I went before I got pregnant with Sam and it was great fun! We were sat in our tent in Dumfries and Galloway at Easter (one year in March ) being smug that we were the only ones doing it 'properly' while all the others were in caravans with electricity! The froze our tits off and left a day early!!! Def looking forward to going when the boys are a bit bigger though but would pick somewhere warmer next time!

Muppet sorry Ollie isn't doing so well and hope he's better soon. Sorry my medical knowledge doesn't stretch far enough to help but agree with the others that you should hold out for a second opinion if you're not happy.

Well done inzi dal and others on weight loss!

Floria great to hear that you and dh had a lovely night out! KNow what you mean about the contraceptive prowess of babies too!!

Anyway hello to everyone else - I'm off to have tea now! Dh away tomorrow night so will spend some time with him now but will be back on form tomorrow night for lots of chat! See you here hopefully!!! xxx

Dalrymps · 24/06/2008 21:49

CONGRATULATIONS CHOC!!! So happy for you .
Well, just popping on to say my appointment with the bum doc went ok. Wasn't my finset hour but not as bad as expected. The consultant said my tear has healed very well and the muscle tone is good so doesn't anticipate any problems with the next delivery , this makes me very happy, of course I know there's always the chance of a cs but I would like to at least have a shot at delivering the next lo before they whip it out the sunroof so for some reason i'm over the moon that they're not going to stop me pushing a baby out of my fanjo, why I'd want to do that again I don't know, I must be mad
Anyway will be back on tomorrow i'm sure, hello to alice - have a nice evening with your dh, and hello to everyone I haven't mentioned, chat soon

LisaLessLumpy · 24/06/2008 22:04

Hello lovely ladies

I've added a few new pics of Ben taken last week, he is growing up fast. He wants to be standing up all the time and walking Mmmmm my back is not good. He is a whizz in his walker now and he loves it Still no sign of any teeth but he is eating well, today he had cottage pie with whole peas and it didn't faze him at all. His fave food by far though is anything to do with bread takes after his mum there

Going to get him weighed on thursday because he definitely must have had a growth spurt on holiday the amount he was eating, plus he feels a lot heavier too. Sam on the other hand is losing weight. He now weighs a pound less than he did a year ago

Hope you all have a good week

ChocolateHobnob · 25/06/2008 08:55

Great news Dal, well done on the muscle tone (not even going to think about how you've managed that!!!). Did you fit in any retail therapy while you were in the toon??

Lisa, he is sooooo gorgeous and looks very grown up all of a sudden. How was the end of your holiday? It sounded lovely!

Alice, hope you and DH had a good night.

Where's Stefka??? have been meaning to ask for ages. Hi Stefka, we miss you!

Apricotle, you've changed your name again! are you trying to confuse us? how are the camping plans going?

Strawberry, swimming is so much fun with the los, isnt it... you always sound so busy, I bet you're super organized. And lo sounds like he's doing fantastically well.

Floria, how's the intrepid walker??

And Anyasmum with the new name I've forgotten, how's the little whirling dervish???

All action here packing today, then wont be on for a while as no BB yet in new house obviously and we move tomorrow. Scary and exciting, although a real change as I'll know nobody with a baby in my new town and will have to make friends all over again, even though I'm going to keep coming to see the old ones (sorry Alice!!); it isnt that far.

Oh well better get on with it! talk soon x

J2O · 25/06/2008 09:42

Ahhhh found you again, haven't had time to read through, and Shannon just woke up, will try and get back on in a bit!

muppetgirl · 25/06/2008 09:49

Choc -woohooo!!! Fab news about the house. FIngers (and toes) crossed for thurs x

Dal - great news from the dr, glad you can deliver naturally again.

Hen has 2 new teeth and another on the way so nearly 5 altogether now. He went to bed last night after Ollie's parents evening at 5pm and I had to wake him this morning!!! He's very hungry and very tired so I think growing and teething going on there. Ollie's school are all celebrating their outstanding from Ofsted so we took in a thank you card and some chocolates for all the teachers. Apparently ofsted turned up unannounced on the morning and inspected!

Hen still doesn't want to move but still loves standing. It's getting so my arm is aching all the time from carrying him. He nearly sits upright on your lap but then throws himself back so you have to catch him -he thinks he's so funny!!

Alice - thanks for the reply to my rash post (Ollie's rash!)
It's still there and he started itching it last night for the first time in ages. His face is still red then fine the next day. Someone suggested it could be an allergy -does anyone know if you can just suddenly develop an allergy? (We don't have any in our family so it's not something I know about )As it comes and goes maybe it's food related?

muppetgirl · 25/06/2008 09:49

Hi j20 x

Dalrymps · 25/06/2008 11:24

Choc, hope all the packing is going well, where you moving to, I just assumed you were moving within the toon...
No, I didn't get to do any shopping boo hoo, dh was on borrowd time from work so we had to come straight back after my appointment, am determined to come back and do some shopping though!
Back later..

Muppet - Sorry Ollie isn't well - can't offer any advice I'm afraid, but second everybody else about getting another opinion if you're not happy. Well done with your exercise programme - you are putting the rest of us to shame (well me certainly )

Apricot - hope you and Huw are better.

Choc - fantastic news about house - you must be so relieved.

Dal - glad you got good news from doc.

Inzi - congrats on your weight loss - that's fantastic!

LLL - wow at Ben walking - can't believe our lo's are growing up so fast!

Anya's officially in disgrace today - at playgroup this morning she picked fights with two bigger (but younger) boys and made them both cry. (Unofficially the boys are wusses for being beaten up by a girl ). Luckily neither mum minded at all, but I think we're going to get kicked out of that playgroup soon - Anya's getting a bit old for it now.

Saw FT and Alex on Monday for lunch and shopping. Alex is soooo grown up - he's amazing! He did several laps of the space outside the restaurant (in the shopping centre) on reins . I know what FT means about him being on this earth before, he does act as though this isn't new to him. Clearly he's a boy genius, I think he's just waiting for his body to catch up with his brain! In fact I would like to nominate Alex as the Baby Most Likely To Win A Nobel Prize. He and Anya are like chalk and cheese - they were sat opposite each other for lunch and she's giggling at Alex, banging her spoon about and chewing the edge of the table, and Alex was doing his best to ignore her - I think he thought she was lowering the tone! - it was like Stephen Hawking meets Coco the Clown . (And the food FT makes for Alex is as fab as it sounds - Anya pinched a bit (well quite a lot really) and she loved it - miles better than anything I make!)

Hello to everybody else - and yes I was wondering about Stefka too - anybody heard from her?

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 25/06/2008 15:58

xposted Inzi - very impressive with the jogging. Enjoy dh's birthday tomorrow. And lol at Jane licking the laminate - Anya does that, but luckily no pets!

ChocolateHobnob · 25/06/2008 21:02

Going offline now but had to say, PMSL at the description of Anya and Alex!!!!

Though Anya is less Coco the Clown and more inrepid trapeze artist meets play-boxer!!!!

ellensmelons · 25/06/2008 21:03

Hello everyone. I know I tend to be a bit of a lurker but I do like to catch up with the thread now and again! Can't believe we're coming up to 9 months...

You all seem so busy - can't believe some are walking, and even jogging

All is very quiet here, and rightly so. I'm 5 months pregnant and expecting a boy in October!!!! I'm in bed by - well - any minute now usually, but feeling great if more than slightly scared.

Anyone out there going for it again soon, or does it fill you with horror?

alicet · 25/06/2008 21:12

Ladies came on here to post but totally unable to concentrate as now watching the programme about Sarah Payne. Just makes me feel physically sick. Please let nothing even half as awful happen to our lo's.....

LisaLessLumpy · 25/06/2008 21:30

wow ellensmelons, can't believe you are going to have two a year apart you are brave Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well

I am definitely not having anymore, two is enough for me

alicet · 25/06/2008 21:33

Congrats ellensmelons! Me, I'm sticking at 2 like Lisa and think you're mad but all the very best to you. I thought I had a small age gap! (20 months). It wil lbe bloody hard while they're tiny but great when they're older as they will be good friends.

Lisa if you get a chance can you mail me the details for the place you went on holiday? Sounds like somewhere we might like...

alicet · 25/06/2008 21:35

EM top tip by the way from me is a great hands free sling - worth every penny!!! I got a hugabub

Dalrymps · 25/06/2008 22:02

Hey Ellensmelons - wow at you being pregnant again. I am going to be having another one but not quite yet. I can understand why you've gone for it though, I di have to keep fighting a strong urge to just get pregnant and have another lo, don't know why cause I can't even keep on top of the house work with one! We're gona try and wait until Dylan is at least 18 mo before trying again so in the meantime i'm concentrating on finishing off sorting all the crap in our house we ran out of time to sort before Dylan was born and also loosing some weight and getting my stomach muscles back again!
All the best for your pregnancy, keep us updated on how you're doing, it'll keep me going till I can have another

FloriaTosca · 25/06/2008 23:09

WWAJC!!!!! I can't believe that is how you saw Alex and Anya!!!!! (ROFL at your version though)Anya was a beautifully mannered, happy, smiley darling and Alex was an stuckup ignorant prig and show off. And it was lovely to see my cooking appreciated for once. Oh dear about the fighting.. with such battling skills, determination, energy and big winning smile I nominate Anya as Baby Most Likely To Be The Next Female Prime-Minster.

Choc; Fantastic news about the house!!! I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Inzi;WELL DONE! Both with the weight loss and the jogging (not surprised that the dogs were close to dropping!)You put me to shame again....and I've got weigh in tomorrow[worried that FT hasnt done near enough emoticon]

Ellensmellons;Congratulations! I hope you have a wonderful smooth remainder of your pregnancy and as Dal says please do keep us updated as to your progress.

Good to see you back again Alicet Hi to everyone I havent mentioned [waves madly]Got to go catch up on some sleep ..Alex woke me every 2 hrs last night and presented us with his very first tooth this morning...he has spent the whole day gurning at us as he explored the intruder in his mouth (Now who looks like a clown, eh, Anya?)

Just a quickie - had the occupational therapist round this morning. Anya performed wonderfully (so she was taking note of Alex!) - showed off her crawling/rolling/talking. The OT said she is not behind at all developmentally, she's doing brilliantly and is exactly where you'd expect a 'normal' baby to be. All she's done is miss out the sitting stage, which would normally come before crawling, so she's shown us how to encourage her to get into a sitting position from lying down, and also how to support her when she sits/stands so that she does most of the balancing and muscle development herself. The OT also said that we don't need any special supports or aids to make her sit correctly because when she does sit she's already keeping her back straight on her own without any help. So very - that's all fantastic news! She's going to refer us to a physio as well. It was a really really helpful visit and it's amazing that such simple exercises will make sure she's developing well - I don't know why all babies don't get this kind of visit!

Ellen - congrats! Am very although I couldn't cope with being pg again just yet - it will be another year or so before I even broach the subject with dh. Hope everything goes well in your remaining months.

FT - oh dear god at the thought of any child of mine being a politician! Well done Alex getting his tooth through at last.

Must go, she's just woken.

LisaLessLumpy · 26/06/2008 16:17

alicet - here you go sands resort

crochetdiva · 26/06/2008 18:20

Sorry I've been awol this week - dh has been away this week on site, and Mairwen has been .... trying - what with her teeth (another one appeared this morning!), a stinking cold (which she has kindly shared with me), and her general restlessness (doesn't like lying down if she's awake!), I've not had much sleep ...

My ADs have been upped again - I've dipped quite a lot over the last few weeks - am really dreading going back to work - am hoping the new dose kicks in soon - am being generally grumpy to all and sundry, and I have the most blinding headache ... am such fun to be around!

Honestly, if you could me now - I'm sitting here with snot trails all over me ...

on the positive side, I've now lost 24lbs - am aiming for another 5lbs - at least until I've finished bf - then I'll re-set my target.

Am going to bed early tonight - hoping Choc's move went well ... love and hugs to everybody else!

crochetdiva · 26/06/2008 18:24

wwajc - HAVE JUST READ YOUR POST (sorry caps on) - what wonderful news!

Well done Anya! (and well done wwajc - you're obviously doing it just right!)

FloriaTosca · 26/06/2008 20:20

WWAJC;...What fabulous news!...Way to go Anya!!!

Crotchet; Oh honey I'm so sorry you are feeling so down...you never sound anything other than positive to me in your posts, not even a hint of grumpiness...I would never have known...I'm sorry not to have spotted your low mood between the lines. I dearly hope the ads kick in quickly for you and that Mairwens cold and trying stage pass just as fast (sleep deprivation really doesnt help..I can totally empathise with you on that)...for someone suffering you are doing fantastically coping with 2 los, bfing AND losing so much weight ..and it is brilliant that you can see that positive side of your life...you are an amazing and inspirational woman... crickey I have few emotional dips these days but cant get a grip on my over eating while coping with just 1 lo.(((big hugs)))and wishes that when you do have to return to the dreaded work place it is not half so bad as you fear
