Hello ladies I'm back! Just cooking dinner so prob not time to catch up - just popping in to say hello and will try and go read all your news now... If I don't get a chance I'll try later but hope you're all well xxx

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 24/07/2008 20:01

OMG! Battle of the Brains starts on Monday - I really thought it was later than that. I think we're on on Thursday.

Ok, will go back and read threads now.

Mine · 24/07/2008 20:02

which channel and what time???!!!

alicet · 24/07/2008 20:10

Just a real quickie...

Muppet glad that hen seems better! You've had a stressful time recently with both of them out of sorts...

J2O your new man sounds like a star! Keep hold! Understand your worries that people will see you are with him for the wrong reasons but I think anyone who knows you will realise thats crap! Adam is still toothless too...

LLL Crochet and Inzi (and others - can't remember who else was talking about it) think you're all doing relaly well with the weightloss!

Dal your holiday / wedding sounds fab - will try and get round to checking out pics later...

Crochet sorry you had a mare with Mairwen's feeding - fingers crossed she's over the worst now...

Floria will add to the others to try not to worry about Alex's weight - he is more active than me so it's not surprising!!!

Inzi sorry you had a low day recently - Big hugs and also to let you know that I have them from time to time too - think it's normal x Will try and get back with food ideas later...

Hello everyone else!!!

Dh and I had an absolutely gorgeous time in Cambridge for 2 nights. Even slept till 11.30 am the first day which was bloody marvellous! Apart from that lots of chilling, good food, wine, sex and we even cycled to a nearby village! Back now although boys in nursery today and tomorrow so a bit more adult time before reality hits next week...

And my parents and sister and her little boy arrive on Sunday - can't wait! Will be the first time I have met him and I'm really excited...

Off to finish dinner now but sending you all big hugs xxx

WhiteWineAndJaffaCakes · 24/07/2008 20:15

Have just skim read so sorry if I've missed anything.

Muppet - glad H is better. And lol at Ollie with his 'broken' arm.

FT - don't worry about Alex's weight gain - if he's ok in himself he's doing fine.

Inzi - hope your dh is fine. Men are so hopeless aren't they? My dh had a double hernia 18 months ago and it's starting to bother him again but instead of getting it checked he's ignored it for weeks (but in fact is just worrying about it).

Crochet - glad Mairwen's feeding is better.

Hi Winnie.

Alice - glad you had a good time in Cambridge.

Update from physio - Anya was a superstar - physio person is happy that she's not behind at all with her development - even her sitting/standing has improved so much. We've got to go back in 3 months for a progress check but she said we didn't need to do anything extra with her, just let her progress naturally. Very happy!

Mine - BBC2 6pm. I shall be hiding behind the sofa.

Mine · 24/07/2008 20:22

i shall be watching!!!
I'm excited for you

J2O · 24/07/2008 21:48

Crochet-so happy things are better hope they're back to normal now
FT-can we come live with you?! I would love to eat at your house.

J2O · 24/07/2008 21:48

alicet · 25/07/2008 09:33

Hi Dal! Be good to meet you if you can make York too. You have family there don't you? Or you used to live there - can't remember which sorry!

FloriaTosca · 25/07/2008 09:45

J20..I'm up for a meet up..I think the problem now is so many of us are back at work that fitting everyone schedules in is going to be a nightmare........give me the weekend I'll have a think about possible what, where and whens.

Winnie & Greedy; good to see you both back, glad the los are doing so well and looking so gorgeous.. hope to see more of you both.

WWAJC;Great the physio appt went well and gratifying to have Anyas perfect development confirmed.Looking forward to Thursday!Sorry your Dh is suffering , hope you can get him to get it sorted soon.

Inzi;Have you got your Dh to the docs yet? My mum had kidney stones and says that the pain was worse than labour!

Alice; Glad you had such a wonderful time in Cambridge (gorgeous place...I have very happy memories of 2 separate weeks there years ago..punting on the cam, cream teas on the green..hmmmmm..)...and how wonderful to get some "togetherness" time as I've said before Alex has "parents are getting amourous" radar and puts paid to that every time!!! I hope you have a wonderful time with your ps and sis and new nephew on Sunday..enjoy!

Choc...Hope the house is fantastic...get broadband soon please, we miss you.

Tles..where are you?

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 25/07/2008 09:46

I'll have to give it a miss this time, it costs me too much and I don't think I can manage both of them on and off the train, especially as it is the hols and the trains I catch are usually packed at the best of times.

FloriaTosca · 25/07/2008 09:47

Xposted while attending to Alex....Mondays are good for me if you want to do York again.

OP posts:
FloriaTosca · 25/07/2008 09:51

I was going to suggest a BBQ (a la Alice)but need to talk to Dh about it first (as house is a disaster zone coz I got pg 2mths after moving in and we havent had time/energy/money to do anything about it since...and the garden is even worse!)would Sth Lancs/Nth Manchester be more "do able" for you LLL?

OP posts:
Dalrymps · 25/07/2008 09:55

Alice - my parents live in Thirsk near York but I'm not on speaking terms with them

LisaLessLumpy · 25/07/2008 10:22

FT - I'm not sure on distances, would have to ask DH DOn't put yourselves out to suit me though, that would be daft

J2O · 25/07/2008 10:33

aww LLL you can't not come! we'll sort something out so that everyone can go, and i'm up for going to FT's for BBQ, will be trying to sample Alexs' gourmet meals!

ooh forgot to tell you all, i'm going to newcastle on the 26th Aug for my birthday night out, Richies flying to Faliraki on the 27th (my birthday) so he's trying to make amends.

I still feel rubbish today and have loads to do. need to go and get some nappies [groan]

alicet · 25/07/2008 10:39

J2O are you staying in Newcastle overnight on 26th? A tues I think? Will be working that day and can't remember if I'm working that night too (know I am either that night or the Thurs that week). What are you doing in Newcastle? Fancy meeting up for coffee the next am? (Not sure a romantic night on our sofa bed is what you have in mind )

needanamechangeforthisone · 25/07/2008 15:12

just need to check if my name change has worked ... don't mind you lot knowing what's going on, but rather do it under a pseudonym

Dalrymps · 25/07/2008 16:14

Hi everyone, have added 3 new pics if you fancy a look

J2O · 25/07/2008 16:21

Alice, yes am staying in a travel lodge, not sure what we're doing, meal or going out for a drink, am up for meeting the next day, depending on what time i need to be back to collect kids form babysitter, not sure what state i'll be in though!

who's the name changer?!!

Dalrymps · 25/07/2008 16:57

Hey everyone,
Sorry to be so me me me but just wanted to tell someone i'm feeling down today . Feeling a real lack of motivation and am sick of just feeling 'fine' but never feeling anything more than that. Haven't been out for many walks this week as sils partner is on holiday so she's been spending time with him. Have been to the beach a few times but just for a quick wlak about rather than actual exercise so maybe thats not helped.
I don't want to keep feeling like this, I seem fine for a while and then all of a sudden seem to dip again, feel a bit like it's a constant effort to keep from sinking in to a low mood
The times when I feel ok I feel stupid for moaning about when ive felt down, I wish I could just 'fet on with it' and cheer up a bit.
