I was bored and then made the mistake of going on the remember dads on Father's Day thread. Have been weeping buckets

Hi PM

Octothechildherder · 14/06/2008 22:00

how do

there is nothing on tv, dh is away and I got wasted last night so don;t want to drink - should just go to bed!

PuppyMonkey · 14/06/2008 22:01

Chin, Chin.

Sexonlegs · 15/06/2008 08:53

Morning

Hope everyone is well.

Happy Fathers Day daddies!!!!

All ok here. Girls both slept until 7.45 which was lovely.

Gearing up for the out-laws. Really not in the mood for them grrrrrrrrrr.

See you later.

elkiedee · 15/06/2008 09:24

Morning all

Octo, why were you so bored last night?

oooggs, hope they all slept well for you again

D slept until about 8 and then woke up in quite a cheerful mood though he's complaining a bit now.

Less fun was being sick twice yesterday and just being so tired. I fell asleep on the sofa originally and woke up about 10.15, went to bed without even looking at the computer.

Morning everyone

OP posts:
Eddas · 15/06/2008 11:20

is anyone around? i need someone to talk too.

Just had a text saying my friends mum died this morning. Her dad died a few years ago. it's just so sad.

oooggs · 15/06/2008 11:21

morning

mamiguay · 15/06/2008 11:21

I´m here Eddas, I am so so sorry to hear that. Is she near you? Can you be with her?

oooggs · 15/06/2008 11:23

sorry eddas I crossed posted - you carry on my lovely

Eddas · 15/06/2008 11:26

thnaks girls, knew i could rely on some of you to be around.

I am near but her sent a text and think she wants to be with her brother and boyf as she said she'd like to see us(the girls) next week.

I just keep crying as it's bringing back memories of my mum. trouble is dd is wondering what's wrong and i don't want to tell her.

oooggs · 15/06/2008 11:27

so sad I bet she wasn't even very old either - life can be so cruel

mamiguay · 15/06/2008 11:29

Oh Eddas, I am so sorry. People always say ´Oh I just can´t imagine how awful that must be´ but when you know how awful it is.. well words really do fail you.. Hope you have someone there to give you a big cuddle?

Eddas · 15/06/2008 11:29

she was 60, same as my dad. her dad died at 50 of cancer and so did my mum. things like this make me worry. i know it's just coincidence, or hope it is.

Eddas · 15/06/2008 11:30

thanks mg, that's the thing, i know how's she's feeling, but at least i had dad around. i'm just glad she has her brother and boyfriend. her brother also has an 8 month old little boy so that should help.

oooggs · 15/06/2008 11:32

I see where you are coming from eddas - very coincidential - and 60 is no age at all
