Hey daisy, I'm here. Watching Eurovision, I love it!

Jammy that cake sounds yum, I'm def going to give it a go.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/05/2008 20:26

Hello fairy! Hope your dh is ok.

I'm trying to watch farking Eurovision and my dp is snoring. Grr!

foxythesnowfox · 24/05/2008 20:27

You'll be skipping through most of it then FairyFay

I'm watching Britains Got Talent. And I have my new Hotel Chocolate delivery today. I reinstated them for one every 12 weeks.

Can you make that cake without the coconut Jammy?

Thanks for the list Daisy. I admit I had to check LOs DOB. I thought it might have been the 13th

foxythesnowfox · 24/05/2008 20:28

DP woke me up last night to complain about my snoring!

I think it was an excuse to get frisky myself. I don't snore

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/05/2008 20:33

EUROVISION IS FUCKING MENTAL!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/05/2008 20:35

How rude foxy! If I do snore I would never wake dp, he sleeps like a log!

lackaDAISYcal · 24/05/2008 20:37

My DH gave me a very rude awakening in the wee small hours of Friday morning....and he certainly wasn't snoring himself or complaining about me snoring

Am watching the season finale of ER.....I'm completely lost as I only saw the first three episodes this time around, but it's better than eurovision. Used to love it, but it's even worse now than it ever used to be.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2008 20:38

We're watching eurovision, and drinking cocktails Eurovision is aided by the BBC euro-ispy card

Don't know what happens if you miss the coconut out, but it pretty much all goes in the top layer, so easy to scrape off if you don't like it much.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 24/05/2008 20:40

Oh and as for getting frisky I thought that putting out would stop dp being such a sex pest! Alas no, he is worse!

Shit, my BlackBerry is running out of juice!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2008 20:42

Finland ROCK!!!

FrazzledFairyFay · 24/05/2008 20:45

Dh is back, no infection, just inflammation - so we've started watching Eurovision, with a delay. Good to see it's the same old crap .

Mmmm Hotel Chocolat, I got a subscription for xmas and I LOVE IT.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2008 20:54

Glad DH is OK Fairy

lackaDAISYcal · 24/05/2008 20:58

I've just been reading a thread about medised. Apparently it's no longer suitable for children under two years of age. Have just dosed DD up on it and put her to bed . She is having a very bad teething day and was yelling in pain and clawing at her mouth earlier. We thought it would help her sleep. I feel like a child abuser now

lackaDAISYcal · 24/05/2008 21:01

I had to give up my hotel chocolat subscription as they couldn't guarantee that they chocs were gluten free

fairy, give him some nurofen and tuck him up in bed

jammy, how's your throat?

FrazzledFairyFay · 24/05/2008 21:02

I really wouldn't worry Daisy. From what I've read it seems that it has been stopped for the uder 2's as there is a risk if you overdose because of the anti-histamine - and because some people use it regularly as a sedative.

FrazzledFairyFay · 24/05/2008 21:04

He's had some Nurofen and is tucking into my Hotel Choc chocs - however he has just dropped into the conversation that there is a Hotel Choc shop just down the road from his office - now that is a useful piece of info

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2008 21:12

Throat getting better thanks Daisy

We started a new bedtime routine tonight. Instead of nappy & jamas-milk-straight into cot (not always asleep but always sleepy) we now have nappy & jamas-milk-clean teeth-cuddle-into cot. Was a nightmare tonight. She screamed for 10 minutes before she'd let me get close enough to try to soothe her and then it took another 10 minutes to calm her down and 5 more to get to sleep. And I've been up once so far when she woke crying, but only took a couple of minutes thankfully

lackaDAISYcal · 24/05/2008 21:14

so the occasional use as a sedative is OK then?

I think we bought it at Christmas when she was really poorly and it's only had a few spoonfuls out of the bottle.

Ooooh, at the hotel choc shop......they will probably sell cut price bags of mis-shapes

Has anyone seen the recent M&S ads for beachwear? Mylene Klass looks far to good for someone who had their baby around the same time as us....the byatch

FrazzledFairyFay · 24/05/2008 21:15

Oh dear, poor Jamlet. Do you think it was the tooth brushing, or coincidence?

My DS has tooth brushing in the bath/when getting changed ie before his bottle. I did the same with DD for a long time as brushing her teeth once she was all relaxed and had had her milk, was just too traumatic for me. I realise that isn't ideal and I should probably try and do tooth brushing just before bed too, but I'm too worried about making him too wakeful.

lackaDAISYcal · 24/05/2008 21:16

am very lax at teeth cleaning . she is usually in bed beofre I remember. I think we manage to clean them once every other day though, but really should get into a better routine.

oops, DH has arrived with the takeaway and then we have pressies to wrap.........night all

FrazzledFairyFay · 24/05/2008 21:17

Apparently no mish-shapes on sale, but they do sell short dated chocs for 1/2 price - the short date wouldn't be a problem as they wouldn't last long in this house anyway .

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 24/05/2008 21:20

We did tooth brushing for the first time last night but before milk and all was fine. I think it is that it wakes her up after the milk has made her all sleepy. But it will be better for her teeth in the long run to clean them last, just before bed, and will probably be good for her in general too, to get her more used to going to sleep without the sleep-induction from milk. But I fear it's going to be hard work to get there

Izzybel · 24/05/2008 21:27

Hey!
I've always tried to brush teeth after a bottle too, jammy. Fine when DD is quite awake, but a nightmare when she falls asleep. I end up just leaving them or just brushing them before her bottle.

DD been in a much better mood today! We've been to her little friend's first birthday party. She completely knackered herself out! She's went to sleep cuddling up to her teddy

RiaButterflew · 24/05/2008 21:39

I'm actually not watching eurovision for only the second time ever. I usually love it but have lost interest.
I have cleaned half my kitchen cupboards and DS2s drawers, stuck to SW all day and feel poorly. I also suspect the novelty of work with no stress is wearing off for DH, and DS2 has started copying his little friend and crying if he doesn't get his own way. It drives me mad.

Hi everyone, hope you're all happy.
