C is up and about toddling with her brick trolley. hasnt quite mastered 3 point turns nor reserve parking so tends to get stuck in small corners to scream the place down.

elkiedee · 22/05/2008 23:21

Morning ladies;

WO - I saw F&C in town on Tuesday - did he say?

Knackered here, although C did sleep from 6.30 until just before 7 which is good for us!!

Had a row with dp last night - nothing in particular, just taking me each other for granted which leads to us being miserable which is a bit of a vicous circle... hapenning a bit too often for myliking but its part and parcel of having kids - no time for anything else!!!

Off to meet Bumble and Lucy today which is nice!!!

C is a little star just now - he's decided he doesnt like walking-running is much better . He's so funny.

Off to make a cup of tea...

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2008 08:39

Morning

weeonion · 23/05/2008 08:42

good morning folks!

hi GMM - f did indeed say that he had bumped into yr lovely self on tuesday. have to get to meet up soon!

its grey and damp here today but I have managed to wangle a working from home morning so bliss without my 5am start!

does anyone who has gone back to work feel "out of the loop"? now that i am full time again - i feel like i miss out on the support and contact with other mums. there is no checking in with folks on what the bubbas are doing and offloading sharing. i feel in work that now that matrnity leave is over - its back to the grind and no mentions of me now being a mother. my boss is still being an arse and my flexible workign still hasnt started.
god - the weekends never seemed so good!

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2008 09:03

yes wo i know what you mean, although my working pattern is much much easier than yours.
A few short months ago all I thought about was getting him weighed and going to the breastfeeding group, now I never get the chance for either

geordieminx · 23/05/2008 09:06

WO - If you find out when F has a sat day off I will organise a lunch for the girls?

CaptainDippy · 23/05/2008 09:44

It must be so hard for you WO - much respect for going F/T and having a DC. Think the idea of a "girls lunch" is excellent xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 23/05/2008 09:49

morning all

Lovely to see some of the Scots mummies

WO, I do not know how you cope tbh. Enjoy your weekend

GM, hope you and dp have patched things up.

Luce, hope dd1 is having a lovely birthday today x

Hi CD, POTC, SPB and everyone else.

It is Becky's 5th birthday today I feel stupidly emotional about it. Nearly cried in the playground!!!

She is so excited bless her heart.

Right, need to have an early lunch, pick up K and then dh's auntie dropping in on the way back from her hols.

Hope you are all well.x

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2008 11:54

Happy Birthday to Becky!

elkiedee · 23/05/2008 12:42

Happy birthday Becky

And yes WO, know exactly what you mean. I was very touched that my Jolly Babies friend and her son came to D's brithday picnic for a while, as did 2 local MNers, lots of people didn't get back to me though I've heard from a few since then. Hope that Saturday lunch gets sorted.

Anyone in touch with LazyEmma recently?

CaptainDippy · 23/05/2008 12:47

Happy Birthday Becky!! Hope she has a super day!!

I'm LazyEmma's FB friend, but don't really hear from her as such - I think POTC keeps in touch a bit beter ..... why do you ask Elkie!!?

Off to play now ....

elkiedee · 23/05/2008 12:50

Me too re FB friends, should look her up, just wondering, I always found her posts interesting.

Bramshott · 23/05/2008 13:22

Happy Birthday to B! I know what you mean SOL - 5 feels like a really big milestone doesn't it? I was quite emotional when N turned 5 in January!

oooggs · 23/05/2008 15:00

wow 5!!! thats so old and I am sure it is emotional, will find out in December, but have the 'starting school' bit first

Erin has her first pair of shoes, bought them this afternoon, they are so cute.

Yes weeonion - I struggle juggling mn & work and I only do 16 hours , can't use it at work, no time anyway, still expected to do 7&1/2 hours work in 5&1/2 hours

StealthPolarBear · 23/05/2008 15:09

i really can't be bothered today
think it's cos he won't sleep

CaptainDippy · 23/05/2008 18:43

Are you ok SPB?

cazboldy · 23/05/2008 19:18

Happy Birthday Becky.

I think all you working Mums deserve a pat on the back

Had an old school friend and her 2 year old round for coffee this morning after I bumped into her Mum in tesco's a couple of weeks ago. Had a right laugh!

Got to go and inject our cattle with the blue tongue vaccine tonight..... the fun never stops here and tomorrow is andrew's day off, and ....wait for it.... we are going to a chicken sale! bet you are all really envious!
