CaptainDippy · 31/05/2008 12:10

So awful to watch someone you love going through pain. xx

Eddas · 31/05/2008 12:15

too true cd. It must be so so hard for oj as she has so much else to deal with. Sounds like she has fantastic friends which is wonderful

on a different note, ds slept all night(12 hours) which is not unsusal but he's been asleep since 9 i think he's geting over whatever's been wrong this week bless him

CaptainDippy · 31/05/2008 12:24

Awwww, bless him Eddas - nice for you too!!

Right, best go and have lunch with my delightful children andthen off out to the park, I think.

mammyjo · 31/05/2008 15:55

Hi all. Yet another miserable message from me! I can't moan about dh to anyone but you lot!
I called about the job I was thinking of applying for but it is full time and there is no scope for reducing hours or even flexible working. It is for 9-5, Monday to Friday. Realistically I can't do that just now, with F still so small and with ds to take and pick up from school every day. Tbh I don't know if I would want to be away from them for 5 full days a week either.

Anyway, was saying to dh that I won't bother applying and he reckoned I was doing that because it was his fault. WTF. He has recently accepted a new job, he was getting really unhappy where he is now and so is leaving in a couple of weeks. I am unhappy where I am, but he just doesn't get the fact that it is not just a case of taking the next job I fancy. Why is it that the mums have to consider everyone else before their own needs, but the dads do what the hell they like. I am fed up of being at the bottom of the food chain!

Sorry, I know that is really whingy but I needed to get it off my chest. Am struggling with a bout of pain right now and was crying. Dh was taking the kids to B+Q for something and thought I was crying because I wanted to go. Fucking hell, WAKE UP. I am sick of being the only one who considers anyone else in this family.

mammyjo · 31/05/2008 15:59

Sorry for being a whinging old bag

Runny, glad you are ok, fab news about WW too!

CD, hope you feel a bit brighter this pm. Would a trip to the GP be of any benefit do you think?

SOL, I know you won't read this but wanted to say have a fab time! 4 men free days sounds like heaven to me

SPB, hope tonight is better

Caz, I wouldn't know where to start with a washing machine! I am very impressed

Apologies to those I have neglected to mention, memory bank is dwindling.
Meant to be doing Race for Life tomorrow morning, not sure whether I will be able to so plan to see how I feel in the morning. Have a good afternoon all xxx

CaptainDippy · 31/05/2008 18:19

Oh MJ - I can totally empathise with how you are feeling right now (although not in as much pain) I know how undervalued and worthless you feel at times. It is so all-consuming and depressing. I am so sorry you are feeling like this sweetie. I know what you mean about having a DH/DP who seems to be alking round with his head in the clouds - or perhaps it is because he simply doesn't know how to cope or how best to help you!!? I know my DH doesn't "get" me most of the time. Sigh. Anyway, sending you biggest It'll soon be bedtime (for them and us ) xxxx

elkiedee · 31/05/2008 19:58

MJ, that's a disappointment. Hope a better flexible or part time job comes up for you soon, or when you're ready to go.

Sorry I can't offer any help or advice with anything else, but I've done more than my fair share of whinging here if you or anyone else feels like whinging to me!

oooggs · 31/05/2008 20:02

oh mammyjo - things just don't change, goes back to the days when wives/mothers fed their husbands, then their children then often went without as there was nothing left these days it is emotional/time/survival thing

I think/hope the holiday will do you all good , I couldn't even think about changing my job as I would never find anything that was flexible with childcare. May be different if dh didn't work shifts, but I have to run and organise everything and if he is home he gets told what to do helps

dippy - you sound low, anything we can do?

caz - if the washing machine doesn't work, don't you just kick it?

eddas - did the weather hold for you to make it to the park?

I have a baby brother who is 6'3" >>

oooggs · 31/05/2008 20:03

ELIKE STOP..............

oooggs · 31/05/2008 20:04

Elkie - Please tell me what happened on casualty last week and Holby City the week before (cos I can catch last tuesday on replay)

thank you very much

elkiedee · 31/05/2008 20:31

oooggs, I'm at least 3 episodes behind on Holby City - I tend to record everything and catch it later.

I think the last episode I watched of Casualty was the one in which Maggie's daughter is having feeding issues with a newborn baby. Was it not Eurovision last week, hence no Casualty?

Sorry not to be of more help.

CaptainDippy · 31/05/2008 20:46

I can't remember either I am just low in general, I am afraid. It'll pass.

Anyone watch Britian's Got Talent!!?

cazboldy · 31/05/2008 21:18

suspend your congratulations.......

washing machine has packed up again.....

but the good news is that they will be bringing me a new one on Tuesday morning

cazboldy · 31/05/2008 21:53

POTC - You beat me to starting a thread about Open Farm sunday tomorrow!

Are you going to one?

Are any of the rest of you?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 31/05/2008 22:00

Hello. I m trying to wire brush the paint off of the outside of the shed Nightmare. Sigh. I am feeling very with DH today. Actualy I am just feeling in genral, don't know why.

What's everyone else up to!!?

NorthernLurker · 01/06/2008 16:16

I'm trying to prep for my interview - and I'me pretty with dh as well - he has the temerity to be ill and is spending most of the day in bed. And when he's awake he's whimpering!!! V annoying. Plus I think B is teething and is grumpy, grumpy, grumpy and it's raining so they can't play out in the garden. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh!
