Just so I know where you all are

Life is full steam ahead in runnyhabbit land. Dh has been headhunted,[proud dw emoticon] but turns out they can't match his current salary, and its too much of a pay cut for us to take atm. Been doing a lot of sums, and if I could get a little payrise and maybe a few more hours, then we might be able to cover it. Its on hold for now though, and everything has been left on good teerms with the headhunter.

J starts his language and play sessions next week, ready for him starting school in September. I remember bits of Welsh from school and am getting quite excited about learning it from scratch, so to speak.

W has got lots more teeth coming through, in no particular order, and can def balance more on his own. Not walking just yet, but he cruises so bloody quickly. Just like a whippet (although I've never seen a chubby whippet)

Ummm, think thats it from me....oh yes, I hit my WW target this week, and as from Monday, I will be permament in work

Take care all
(I do think of you all a lot mushy, I know)
x

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 19:08

Well done on reaching your target Runny

Dooby - Are you near to either Cavan, or Gorsebridge Horse Sales? Or near where they hold the Irish Dairy Event? (if you know what that is? )

Doobydoo · 30/05/2008 19:24

Well done Runny
Of course I know whaT Irish Dairy event is Caz...not.
Everywhere is approx 3 hours away!WHY!

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 19:32

well..... if we ever go on holiday Ireland would be first on our list, and those places would probably feature .... and we were talking about it earlier, and I just wondered if you were near any of them......

oooggs · 30/05/2008 20:18

hello bad mummy alert

put ds1 in his bed with a story cd on while I put Jack to bed, he was so tired and I knew if he waited for me it would be getting late, especially if Jack kicked off (like last night)

he loved it and fell asleep within minutes

NorthernLurker · 30/05/2008 20:20

you need to try harder than that Oooggs! If you'd put him to be with a story CD and a Big Mac - that might qualify

oooggs · 30/05/2008 20:33

no way NL I don't feed him

NorthernLurker · 30/05/2008 20:35

That's better Oooggs - v good - well how about if he was in bed with a story cd and a big mac he'd scavenged for himself - that would make you a bad mother

Dh is poorly - bad sinuses - it must be bad because he got abs from the doctor

So I'm awaiting delivery of a chinese just for me

Doobydoo · 30/05/2008 20:52

I am going to be inundated with you Blaggards

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 20:54

Lol Dooby - Don't panic - Have never had a holiday yet, so probably that conversation is about as close as we will get!

Doobydoo · 30/05/2008 20:55

I know what you mean!Maybe we could do a house swap!

Sexonlegs · 30/05/2008 20:55

pmsl NL!

Well, if it works, why fix it Oooggs!?

Hi all.

Elkie, what a bloody bugger re the money. Did you contact the Police? I found out someone had been using my debit card online, and called them in. They were fabulous.

MJ, hope you are ok flower. Have a massive hug from me. xx

Runny, was wondering where you had got too. Good to see you and to hear your news. Well done on the WW.

Ange, lovely to see you

Hi Dooby, Caz, POTC, Pinions, SPB and all you other lovelies I have failed to mention.
Back later. x

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 20:58

Now there's a thought Dooby!

StealthPolarBear · 30/05/2008 21:09

Glad everything is going well runny - well done to your DH!
Hi everyone else.
Off for a quick lurk and then sofa/bed

elkiedee · 30/05/2008 21:16

What's annoying me about the paypal thing is that I reported it a week ago. I received several emails about paypal and skype and the transaction and rang up and spent ages trying to explain that I knew nothing about an account with Skype etc. They've suspended my paypal account so I can't pay a regular small subscription through it (which upsets me because that's something I want to support and it's hardly their fault). The payment went out again yesterday, which is 3 working days after last Friday. Surprise surprise, the restrictions mean I can't close my paypal account.

I've discovered Skype is being used as a way of sending paypal payments - so if someone has got my details, they could be using it to send payments to their own account. But I don't seem to be able to say to paypal, on the website, or on the phone, I don't want this. If I make paypal payments online I see an email address (usually for small ebay purchases). There's no indication who I've allegedly paid.

No one else knows my paypal password unless they've hacked into it somehow eg shared computers. Grrrr.

elkiedee · 30/05/2008 21:18

oooggs, nothing wrong with story CDs. We swore my story cassettes for my baby brother when he was younger than your ds1. They were an absolute miracle. (I'm almost 8 years older than my brother).

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 21:19

I would contact them again and explain that if you don't get the reaction you want you will be going to the police!

elkiedee · 30/05/2008 21:25

I intend to do that at some point, but I wasn't exactly reassured when I spoke to Paypal last week. And it was a long phone call at whatever extortionate rate they charge for an 0870 number,

cazboldy · 30/05/2008 21:27

How are you feeling anyway?

Sexonlegs · 30/05/2008 21:43

Poor you Elkie. Not what you need atm

Right, am going off line for a few days.

My bloody washing machine is playing up......thought it was the pipes blocked but have dismantled them, and decided that it must be the filter (that I can't undo )

I have about 8 loads waiting to go in as we were out all day yesterday, and ds1 brought loads of filthy clothes back with him!

I so do not need this right now.....

I have just put a load in, and I am waiting up to see if I have sorted it..... I want to go to bed, but am so wound up I can't sleep

aaarrrgggghhhhh

NorthernLurker · 31/05/2008 00:21

Golly Caz - is there anything you can't do? Washing machine maintainence! I am well impressed!

Dh just woken up for next lot of antibiotics and says he feels a bit better - lets hope this continues. We're off to a friends wedding reception tomorrow and we're giving a friend and her bloke a lift as well - so he needs to be fit enough to drive!
