Caz, teaching sounds like a great idea for the future. You do quite a bit of volunteer stuff at one of the schools your dcs go to, don't you? That would help you I think get on to teacher training.

CaptainDippy · 28/05/2008 07:27

Morning always comes to soon!! Hi all! Just popping on briefly to let you know I have a friend coming to stay for a couple of days so I probably won't get a chance to come on here ..... I'll be back Fri pm I expect - have a good time til then guys

SPB, a T free night eh! Have a lovely time whatever you are up to

Oooggs, pmsl at remembering to close the loo door at work! This is just the kind of thing I would forget to do!

Brain now emptied!!

All ok here. Feel tired and grumpy atm for no particular reason. Not even due on .
Got both girls today and not sure what to do with them. Will meet up with a friend and her ds but the weather is looking well dodgy atm.

Anyway, enough rambling from me. Hope everyone is well. xx

LOL @ WCL's name change Hello!

Enjoy SPB Enjoy!

mammyjo · 28/05/2008 14:33

Hey Saggy!! Fab new name WCL Enjoy Devon

SPB, enjoy enjoy enjoy! He will back before you know it, child free hours just fly by! Make the most of quiet time, full cups of hot coffee and weeing in peace!

I am very miserable this pm. After my appointment last week I was told that I should be called for surgery within 3 weeks. Not so. I spoke to the surgeons secretary today who said that they are booked until the end of July, then there are 7 other people also waiting for the same op as me and they are before me. I am gutted Really want it over and done with . too that I have been misled.

oooggs · 28/05/2008 14:39

mj - thats rubbish for you

wcl - please bring some better weather - its dire down here (in Cornwall at the moment, but was in Devon working this morning!)

sorry caz - rushed off last night and never made it back, teacher training sounds right up your street it would fit in well with family life (I think )

mammyjo · 28/05/2008 15:00

Hi oooggs

StealthPolarBear · 28/05/2008 15:34

oh mj that's awful

elkiedee · 28/05/2008 15:50

That's awful. Who told you 3 weeks?

mammyjo · 28/05/2008 15:51

I am just so upset about it. I had geared myself up to wait 6 months, then that changed so I got my head around the thought that things were imminent. Now I just feel like it has been thrown again and I am really . Feel very teary and keep bursting into tears this afternoon.
If they had told me that things were a good few months off then that would be fine, I am because I feel that I have been completely misinformed. The bloody nurse told me that my surgeon had virtually no waiting list. She clearly had no idea what the hell she was talking about as he does have a rather long list according to his secretary.

mammyjo · 28/05/2008 15:53

Elkie, it was the nurse that I saw for my pre op assessment last week that told me within the next 3 weeks. Don't quite see the point of that pre op thing tbh, as my blood tests could be dramatically different a few months from now. Anyway, how are you feeling?

SPB, how is your quiet afternoon?

elkiedee · 28/05/2008 16:34

mj, yes, I can really see how being misled/misinformed and messed about is devastating in your situation.

I'm a bit bored at work, but about to leave fairly soon as dp's on his late shift today I'm trying to remember how I felt at 7 weeks with D, feel I should have more symptoms and 12 week scan and the knowledge of whether or not we've made it to 12 weeks seems a long time away (though not as long as you have to wait of course). I remember some of my panics first time round.

cazboldy · 28/05/2008 16:35

oh MJ really sorry to hear that....

Thanks for all the positive feedback re teacher training - will see what happens!

had a busy day

shoe shopping and spending a clothes voucher my Mum bought me for christmas and into tesco's to buy loads of junk for a picnic tomorrow, and to buy my Mum a voucher for a manicure and pedicure for her Birthday (on Sunday)

then off to do cows, and to the vets to pick up some injections

now on my way to do the ponies (hopefully before it rains )

must do some housework later, as I did hardly any yesterday either, and I hate going out for the day and coming home to a pigsty!

back later! x

StealthPolarBear · 28/05/2008 16:43

mj is there anything you can do to kick up a fuss? You're going to be in pain / on medication for the next 6 months then??
Afternoon quiet so far, at work at the moment but then we're going out for a meal after work and then home to watch a DVD loud and me to read my book with no interruptions from the baby monitor . In between ringing mum and dad and talking about how much we miss him I would imagine
Watermelon boobs starting already! Ouch, plus I think everyone staring at me, thinking "I'm sure she didn't look like that this morning!"

Sexonlegs · 28/05/2008 17:42

Hellooo!

WCL, pmsl at your new name! Hope Devon is not wet

MJ, I am so so sorry about the op, or lack of it in the near future. How annoying and upsetting/unsettling. Huge hugs to you my sweet daffodil xx

Caz, another mad day in your house then! Hope you are all well.

SPB, have a great evening - you really deserve a break.

How is everyone else?

We have had a great day. Met up with friends who have 1 ds the same age as B, and they took her swimming whilst K and I watched - Result! Then went back to theirs for a picnicy lunch. B and their ds then did art stuff and then we came home half an hour again. K has been a bit of a pita though - q. whingy. I think the fact she hasn't had a poo since Sunday or Monday morning may have something to do with it !

cazboldy · 28/05/2008 18:18

NorthernLurker · 28/05/2008 18:53
