LGT thats fab news, amazing considering all thats been going on with your body really

PJ glad to have you back, I cant really add anything, will se not settle and be left alone in the bed? I did worry about A falling out but he never did when we left him alone - only when we got in and he got shoved to the side

MID good news on the job front, hope it works out for you

AM whats this about you leaving work? what have I missed

Spoke to GP who has given me lots of new pills and potions including liquid morphine I have tried some this evening and its pants not a touch on what they give you in hospital

I am getting a cooker tomorrow, a couple who I have befriended in the pub are bringing it round at 6pm it was her mums but they are having a clearout and only want £15 for it - yippeee will be able to bake

Think I will retire to bed to read my book and enjoy having all the space to myself

JamInMyWellies · 17/06/2008 21:28

Abby I think the star chart is a great idea. Have you thought about asking your cm to take him to the bathroom every hour. I know its a pain in the arse but maybe he just needs a gentle reminder.

Lups I so envy you on having the bed to yourself. Sometimes DP is a nightmare to share with he snores and rolls around quite violently sometimes. He is off on a stag this weekend and I am really looking forward to having the bed to myself, well until I get a phonecall in the middle of the night from the loacl constabulary to go bail him out.

Tilly, Mrs JB hows the no smoking going?

Re milk and bottles. A still has masses of milk. 9oz on waking, 5oz in his weetabix, 5oz after his morning nap, sometime another 5oz mid arvo and another 9oz at bedtime. All in a bottle and he has 3 massive meals a day.

TYG A too has his little chats with his teddies. He is very aware when its bed time and will not tolerate being messed around its into his sleeping bag cuddle of the teddies a bit of thumb love a chat and off to sleep. It is a lovely way to wake up in the morning when you hear him chatting to his toys.

AbbyLou · 17/06/2008 21:49

Thanks for the support guys, I guess we'll just have to stick it out.
C was very tired when he came home tonight so he went to bed early and dh and i had about 40 mins on our own with R and it was lovely. We never get that because C still wants to play downstairs all the time too. She was sooo cute. She was bathing and feeding her dolls just shouting baby at the top of her voice. She found a baby spoon and fed them and tried to put a nappy on them. She read her Peppa Pig books and kept saying Peppa and making pig noises. She was just having so much fun and knew she was getting all our attention which she loved. She too is always keen to get into bed once her bottle has gone. We have a little cuddle with her cuddle cloth teddy and then she wants to get straight in and have her dummy. In the morning she talks to her teddies to. Then when she gets nored she stands up and throws them all out and then shouts uh oh over and over again until we go in! She's just adorable!

AbbyLou · 17/06/2008 21:50

Btw i just added a couple of new pictures.

cameroonmama · 18/06/2008 07:18

Hey MKG, happy birthday from across the oceans. Have a great day

Madamejaffa · 18/06/2008 08:30

Happy Birthday MKG

Abby that is so cute, J does the Ut OH with everything she drops or knocks over, she is VERY content in her cot and can be awake over an hour in the morning, chatting, playing and sucking her empty bottle Ewwww. She also does palms up for all gone at the end of her dinner or youghurt. Her first recogniseable word other than mumma and dada is Grandand, she says it fast with a deep roar... dandad, very funny. She has also developed a fake laugh which she does at everthing atm.

Jam- all going well still, Day 5 now, I have a bad cough, feel a bit crap today tbh... suppose it's all the nastys excelling themselves. Heard some wome worrying reports yesterday about the tablets we are taking causing depression and anxiety. I know there are side effects with any medication but as they seem to be so effective atm I don't want them to cause any difficulties.

Tilly you OK?

JamInMyWellies · 18/06/2008 09:01

Morning.

Happy Brithday MKG hope you have a lovely day.

JamInMyWellies · 18/06/2008 09:03

oh MJB I remember the cough really vile its your body expellling all the rubbish sound like an 80yr old who has smoked woodbines. I now have a vision of you in my head wandering around with a headscarf and pinny on with a roll up hanging out your mouth coughing intermitently

Madamejaffa · 18/06/2008 09:08

Just re-read my post, sounded like I was worrying about the side effect because I said I felt crap today.... only feel crap because of the cough, still feel happy as larry about not smoking and so far the tablets appear to be having the opposite effect on us. We are being nice as pie to each other and the children...

Madamejaffa · 18/06/2008 09:16

LOL...this could become me

Lupins71 · 18/06/2008 09:41

ABBY lovely pics, what cuties

MKG have a lovely day

MJB lol at the pic

Ahhhhhhhh slept in till 9am! dd was down stairs amusing herself and not sure how long ds had been up but he was grumbling - he is usually quite happy to chill in his cot for a good long time so he may have been there a while bad mummy!

No plans for today, apart from getting my cooker later, have a lovely day all

Happy baking Lups.

Ewwwwwwwww!

Pinkjenny · 18/06/2008 10:58

Hi all - have caught up with all your news, but am so busy at work! Will try and get back on later to comment on everyone's news! I don't like to leave anyone out!

Special thanks to TYG (I have the no cry sleep solution - will read it) and Tilly. But you've all been completely wonderful.

LG & T - just one baby! Yay!

SOH - email is [email protected]

xxxx

TillyScoutsmum · 18/06/2008 11:41

Hi all.

PJ - Hope you're ok. Was thinking about you all yesterday - a lot of it sounds so similar to some of the "discussions" me and DP had. He said something to me that really hit home - he said he had always thought we would work as a team when dd came along and he was disappointed because I made him feel like I was the head coach/manager and he'd barely made it on to the subs bench (typical blokey sport analogy)

LG&T - great news on the scan

Happy Birthday MKG

Abby - lovely pics

MJ - glad non smoking is going well and you are all being nice to each other .... We're finding it really hard - DP admitted he had 2 at work yesterday and then I was really resentful last night cos he'd had some and I hadn't . It was so easy to give up when ttc/pg, but I am finding it hard but its day 3 and apparently 90% of the nicotine should have left our bodies by the end of today so any cravings from then on will be more habitual than chemical (I think that's supposed to help )

Sccot - hope you're feeling a bit better and looking forward to Ascot

Hi to anyone I've missed x

MKG · 18/06/2008 12:42

Hi all--thank you for remembering my Birthday. You all are officially the first ones to remember. But I have the off work and it's me and the kids. I can't complain about much can I.

Bensonbluebird · 18/06/2008 13:55

MKG - Happy birthday! hope you are enjoying your day off.

Abby - DS1 has had a fair few accidents recently. The other day he had wee when we were at the library. I hadn't brought any spare clothes for him so he ended up going home wearing a pair of A's trousers as shorts! (good thing he is skinny)and with one squelchy shoe. I've decided to go with praising him every time he does go to the loo without being asked and to remember to make him go before we go out and when we come in. 'Tis mainly when he is tired.

LG&T - were you very suprised there was only one? I was! congratulations.

Pink - so sorry you have been having a difficult time. I think the balance of knowing best for your child because you are thier mummy and trusting your DP/DH to do his job as a parent is a difficult one. Letting him do whatever it is that you decide to do about sleep could really help, but you need a careful plan first, where you decide what you are going to do in the event of....floods of tears, or whatever. I think the risk is if you are there that you will be desperate to rescue L and DH, but that that would only reinforce (in both L and DH's minds')that he wasn't up to the job.

MJ and Tilly - well done. We'll be your cheerleaders. Ra Ra Ra!

MKG · 18/06/2008 15:00

Hey guys--looks like I'm going to start my 2ww. Last night we did the deed, dh usually pulls out and didn't, and this morning I had a look at my calendar (there really should be an "oops" emoticon. We'll see as I've really unregular periods lately, if I'm on 28 day cycle I should be in the clear, if I'm on 30 days I'm in trouble, and if 32 well wait and see.

Bensonbluebird · 18/06/2008 15:15

Are you still enjoying your day off?

MKG · 18/06/2008 15:25

Yes I am thank you.

scootermum · 18/06/2008 15:29

Im leaving work now to get to the dr.I feel a bit terrified now.I think I might not go.

FFS I really need to give myself a slap at the moment.

Pinkjenny · 18/06/2008 15:40

Big kisses scoot. x

TillyScoutsmum · 18/06/2008 16:03

Go scoot - stay calm, write a list of what you want to say and don't be fobbed off. Good Luck x

MKG · 18/06/2008 16:24

Good luck scoot

largeginandtonic · 18/06/2008 16:54

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICAN CHICK!!!!!

I will be pmsl next month MKG Oh an i am so sorry to disappoint!

Scoot hope the doc was ok, am thinking of you. Be strong tell it like it is and dont gloss >

B still has a bottle, 2 a day, morning and evening. He loves them and mine have all loved their bottle until they are 2.

Abby all the boys have gone through the wee phase, it is hideous and i am very mean too. I gave them the nasty smell, no one will sit with you. It is a phase and you just have to be tough. Horrid creatures boys [wink

Benson i was shaking when i laid down for the scan. I have never been so relieved in all my life i dont think. I think i had convinced myself that there was no possible way i could have been pregnant till after thew Colposcopy so that made me early pregnant with a positive test and feeling yuk and high fundus. I as amazed it is managed to hang on in there through all that bleeding. It was almost 2 weeks of it!

Benson dont worry about the job, it may be all good. The trial is an excellent idea.

MrsJB and Tilly huge well done on the non smoking!

Pink how are you doing my sweet?
