evening all

pesha - I might be putting a complete spanner in the works (no pun intended) but how long do you think you'll be having this car for? Only reason I ask is that we bought a Megane 2 1/2 yrs ago, because we needed a "family" car, and we've now realised, that we will have to get a bigger car soon. We can't recline W in his car seat if dh is driving, and J has to go behind the passenger seat, and even when the front passenger seat is pulled forward a fair bit, J can still kick the the seat (until mummy tells him off)

got really pissed off in the doctors yesterday made the appt 2 wks ago, to see about going back on the pill (my periods have been all over the place & can be on for anything up to 2weeks!) and also (tmi alert) I have found a small hard lump on my bottom. Not really painful, just a little uncomfortable. Told her why I was there, and she then told me that she wouldn't have time to go through both things, so I'll have to make another appt about my lump. And the earliest appt is in 2 weeks How I kept my calm I'l never know.

Uncontrollable screaming again

oooggs · 29/04/2008 21:04

hi runny but about the drs

pesha - I have no idea about cars (I like blue ones ) we fill ours it is quite big hope you find one in the right colour that suits your needs

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2008 21:05

Blue one it is then - that's settled!

oooggs · 29/04/2008 21:05

oh katy poor little man - wish we could help

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2008 21:07

does anyone else have a baby who goes quiet to make you go up the stairs to check? Halfway up and the wailing starts again

runnyhabbit · 29/04/2008 21:08

Really should go and eat something. Appetite has been a bit erractic lately
Like everyone else, our food bills are going through the roof. Went to Lidl earlier in the week, to see if there was much difference. Not a great difference in price, and the fresh stuff was not as tasty as Tesco/Asda

Dh is away tonight and tomorrow night. I miss him not being here, and hate the thought that he's not on his way home, but tbh, I don't miss his lack of help or sarcastic comments. Esp when he started going about J passport not being sorted sooner. I mean he couldn't possibly have sorted that out, could he

oooggs · 29/04/2008 21:10

right I am off to bed, while it is quiet working tomorrow

yes food bill going through the roof, have also tried Lidl runny and tend to mix and match with them Tesco & Asda - what a performance!

Doobydoo · 29/04/2008 21:12

SPB...Does T tolerate wheat and milk ok?Wasn't sure if you have mentioned a poss prob or not

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/04/2008 21:13

I'm working again
Audio typing to be done, and I wanted tomorrow off to go see Dippy, which at month end is tricky to say the least, so have brought work home with me

runnyhabbit · 29/04/2008 21:13

oh spb

nursery rang me in work this morning to tell me that W hadn't stopped crying since I dropped him off this morning. he wouldn't eat anything (very unusual for him) calmed when he was cuddled, but still grizzly. So I left work early, and I could here him crying when I was the foyer of the nursery.
As soon as he saw me though, he stopped crying and gave the biggest smile. And when I fed him lunch (at nursery) he wolfed it down. The only thing I can think is that either a) he knows exactly what he's doing, and is very clever, or b) he had a bad/constipated tummy, because a few hours later, he had a stinky horrible poo.
(or it could just be a man thing)

hi oooggs

Doobydoo · 29/04/2008 21:16

Hello everyoneNot good re doctors rUNNY HOPE IT ISN'T TOO PAINFUL.
potc...iNTERESTING RE YOUR MAN...AM V.GLAD YOU HAPPY[SMILE]
gOOD LUCK WITH WORK OOOGGS,hOPE YOU GET SOME SLEEP.
aM JUST GOING TO READ rest of posts now

Pesha · 29/04/2008 21:22

SPB - could he go quiet to listen and see if you're coming or not and then when he hears you on the stairs he starts screaming again?!

Runny at drs, can't believe you have to wait another 2 weeks, don't they have any same day appointments you can get if you ring up in the morning?

I think back of the car is ok for space, the one we looked at at the Audi garage the other day certainly looked pretty spacious although it was one of the newer ones and they are slightly bigger, although not much. The one we looked at was LUSH!! Used to be Joe Tizzdale's (?! the jockey guy) had sat nav, leather and all the lovely extras. 22grand though so just a tiny bit above our budget!

Doobydoo · 29/04/2008 21:26

I think T is darn clever. Ds1 would never go to sleep by himself and did not sleep through the night till he was 4 and abit years old
I used to hold his hand sometimes for 2 hours.
Think he slept better when I worked as dp looked after him and when I was on nights his cries probably fell on deaf ears
Also maybe because he has been feeling poorly he wants the extra reassurance...Its a sodding minefield.

runnyhabbit · 29/04/2008 21:26

I can ring up at 8am tomorrow morning, to see if I can get a sameday appt. But, it can take 40mins to get through, so by that time, all the appts have usually gone for the female dr. I'm not prudish by any means, but this one time where I would feel v uncomfortable with a male dr.

pesha - don't forget to take the car seats with you when you go for the test drive. (sorry, I'm sounding like a nag[blush})

Doobydoo · 29/04/2008 21:31

Think we have pretty much decided [with ds1]that he will go to school in sept.It is a quaker one so no particular religious doctrination. The secondary school for when he leaves looks lovely it is fee paying but private schools over here are subsidised by the stateso it is about 1200 pounds cheaper a month than a quaker one in uk[bonkers]We will be moving to a city[eeeeeeek]but after aa few years will prob be able to move out to the country[when I am a more confident driver]There, that was interesting wasn't it?

StealthPolarBear · 29/04/2008 21:34

oh runny, sounds stressful
Yes, Pesha i think that's exactly what he's doing, can't believe he ios just sitting there when he's exhausted as well - why is he so stubborn?!

Doobydoo · 29/04/2008 21:53

Meant to say will be 530 euros a month which is ok.I am hoping to childmind and we will have a few years before he starts to save[haha]At the moment though it seems far out of our reach as we are minus in bank at mo.
As I said SPB...I think T very clever

Sexonlegs · 29/04/2008 21:53

Runny, what a nightmare. Hope you can get an appointment soon.

SPB, they are little buggers aren't they?

How long do you leave him crying before you do anything?

weeonion · 29/04/2008 21:57

Wow, you have been chatty today, at least until I started reading posts - it was dp's late shift today so I put D to bed and I actually stayed up there for an hour after he'd gone to sleep, not sleeping but resting.
