Just a quickie before I head off to bed, have to be up early for train to London tomorrow (bit of a hoohah at work, gah!) Am v knackered atm, getting a nap in whenever the boy does. Nausea not too bad, as long as I have my trusty polos

Spin - good to see you back properly, was sniggering at the 'poo in bath' - what advanced language skills . DS just plaintively says 'poo?' before trotting off into a corner to squeeze one out (thankfully in nappies...)

Annie - you make I laff . We've had a bit of a sleep improvement, a few sleep throughs... 5.30am seems to be morning however, and when he does wake he still comes in with us - can't be arsed with anything else atm.

Bloss - nothing to add as haven't got to that stage yet, think I was reading on another thread that after the 'terrible twos' comes the 'farking threes'

HC - hope you get BFP soon

I'm seeing MW next week for booking, assuming I'll be offered scan at some point, but happy to left alone as I'm still in denial about having a Christmas baby...

Oh & welcome to the thread marymungoandmidge your two sound lovely together . I'm working 21 hrs atm, but when no2 makes an appearance I'm thinking of taking a longer break.

So much for a quick one... hello to everyone else: flick, ceebee, pixel, algach, twinkle and hope I haven't left anyone off and offended them... must sleep now!

Bloss- I really felt for you in your last post but completely agree with everything you said. I think its just called toddlerhood. DD is the same, I ask her not to do something so she asks about 50 million questions as to why and then I shout at her for talking all the time and feel guilty because she is just adorable, but then the constant whittering on just gets on my tits. When I was painting her play house for example our conversations went like this;
Her- What you doing
me- painting your playhouse so that it looks nice
her- can I help you paint
me- no because youll get paint all over you and it doesnt wash off
her- can i just hold the tin then
me - no
her - why
me because youll drop it
her- well what if I just touch it with my finger
me- youll get paint on your finger
her- well this bits dry, and this bit and this bit... and on and on it went until she eventually got paint on her finger which she then wiped in her t shirt. Sometimes I just want peace and quiet. Ive even become anti social in my lunch hr because its just 30 mins where I can be on my own and read a paper or something and then it pisses me off when someone sat next to me tries to make polite conversation.
I do try not to hit DC as I feel a hypocrite telling them not to hit if I hit them and in the house we use the naughty corner but when your out theres not much you can do apart from going home or shouting and making endless threats. Im sure tomorrow will be a better day.

On a brighter note Ive lost 5 lbs since 24th april and now only 3 lbs from my goal weight. Just hoping I dont get the tummy bug thats going round my work though because even though that may see the 3lbs off I have too much party and holiday preparation to do

Lol kbaby-we really do all have children that are very similar and we are all having the same 'discussions'. Well done on your weight loss BTW-brilliant!

I lost another pound tonight so now 6 under goal and I stuffed some food down me before I got weighed. DH is threatening to force feed me.

thanks lovely ladies. DO feel better knowing we all have the same challenges, and KBaby your script did make me laugh - -they are just so ANNOYING!!!! On the one hand completely understandable that she wanted to help you paint the wendy house, on the other hand you JUST NEED TO GET IT DONE GO AWAY!!

Still feel horrible about smacking, even just seeing it written down makes me feel bad (hitting DC - sob). Red mist is really hard to avoid I find. Pasta jar reward scheme is relly working at home though, I am looking forward to when he can control his energy in less distructive ways.

HC - blimey, not long ago Annie was advising a 1.5 pound poo before weigh in, now your eating BEFORE you get weighed! Eat some choc right now.

Just been swimming. Working from home today, lovely.

Hi all,

Haven't caught up again properly yet so I'm just going to say HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII to everyone.

I have had THE worst few weeks ever. Finished working for DH (well, he sacked me really. The business just isn't doing well enough for us to both take wages from it.) So I have been looking for a new part time job since. How on earth can it possibly take soo f**ing long. I must have applied for about 20 jobs. (Starting to get a complex now!)
So as well as not getting wages anymore, Ross and Sian's dad has decided he no longer wants to pay anything towards them now. I have never been so poor in my life. I am soo fed up with it all.

To top it off it was R and S's birthday's on the 10th and 15th of this month. I have had to sell everything I can bloody think of on Ebay to raise enough money to buy them a present.

Oh yeah, also Sian was carrying Abbey down the stairs last Monday after her bath when Sian slipped and Abbey fell. She banged her head quite badly and has broken her foot. So the poor little egg is in plaster up to her knee. I will post some photo's on Facebook and post a link here.

Nightmare time, but hopefully it will get better soon. I mean things don't stay bad forever do they???

Bloss, I wanted to ask you how it was going back to work? I am seriously thinking about just going back full time, then I know we'll always be sound financially. BIG DECISIONS, ahhhhhhhhhhh!! (I can get a full time job no probs, it's part time that causing me problems.)

I'm going to stop my whinging now and all further posts will be happier!!

Love

Jeanie

Morning all

Have tried to put up a bit of a barrier to stop the Sophster wandering into the middle of the road again. Due to amount of rubble from said broken wall 'tis proving a tad difficult. DH has told the insurance company that Soph nearly got run over and is threatening to get a solicitor involved if they don't come to some agreement over cost of repairs. FGS, it the Taxi hit it last December.

Re weight loss-my SIL is very slim and always maintained that looking after the 2 boys kept her weight down. Never happened to me until now. I think as I am so low with no reserves I am burning it off especially now it is grass cutting time. Have a thing for ice cream at the mo so had a big bowl last night along with a twix and some choc fingers. We go away in the caravan next Tuesday so not going to diet then.

Bloss-I haven't shouted at Emma today and am going to try and not shout later after school. How are you doing?

Waves to everyone else. Have annoying heartburn and a lingering headache so off to drink some liquid.

HC - I am being an absolutely perfect parent today - no slip ups whatsover. Due totally I think to the fact that both kids are at nursery! Good for you so far though.

I definitely maintain that my weight is kept down by running around after the children. I graze all day on bread and fruit and cereal, which keeps hunger away.

Hi Jeanie! Long time.....I am back at work part time, 3 days a week. It's only worth while financially because it is an IT Sales job. Anything else I looked at didn't come close to earning the childcare costs, which are the best part of £800 a month, and that's even with the Government Grant H gets.

HumphreysCorner · 20/05/2008 13:32

Lol Bloss-Emma is at school and Sophie is at MIL's so I won't see them until DH brings them home right in the middle of Holby-grrhhh!!!

HC, you need Sky+!!!
I lose my rag a lot with the little uns too. I find myself shouting 'Shut the FRIDGE!' or 'DON'T SPILL IT' or 'STOP SITTING ON MY HEAD' or muttering 'Oh FGS what's WRONG with you now' and just about hold in the 'F*ing'. It has slipped out on occassion though.
Then something else will happen, Mimi will say 'I got you Mammy' and give me a cuddle and then I feel like a right poo.
I do well Mon-Wed and Fridays while I'm at work. Otherwise I'm a bad mummy.
Joey is going through a phase of wanting to make all the sandwiches, all the pasta, get all the drinks... everything takes forever...

Jealous of you skinny minnies, Bloss and HC.

Jeanie, sorry to hear of your crap week. Poor Abbey, hope she gets better soon.
Hope you find something soon. I think I found you on Facebook, you seemed to be friends with all the others, so I guessed it was you!

Mae LOL, i know just what you mean, can't be arsed!! Though I don't have your fabulous excuse, I'm just too lazy/tired/drunk
Hope you are still getting your power naps in!

Mary, sorry I confused myself, I thought your DD was the July 2006 babe, but now I see it's your DS! Sorry! Great to hear they are getting on so well. My two adore each other two, many moments of sweetness alongside the shouting...

Kbaby, LOL! But how true...

Flick, thinking of you too, hope things are sorting themselves out.

Have a good evening now ladies

HC don't get Sky + - all it does is make you want to sit and finish Casino Royale instead of cold calling people.

Wallace · 20/05/2008 16:15

Sorry haven't read any messages (will catch up later) but just added photos to my profile.

The top one is Leo up the top of the 5' fence, and the second shows how blond he is at the moment, amazing cos he used to be so dark!

HumphreysCorner · 20/05/2008 16:46

Hiya bloss-sorry hun, I thought it was full time. How are you finding it? I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things again. Just wish it would happen sooner rather than later.

JeanieG · 20/05/2008 16:59

HC-just looked at your photo's and I can't believe how much Sophie has grown. Also your two are the absolute spitting image of each other. Beautiful girls you have there.

HumphreysCorner · 20/05/2008 17:12

Thanks Jeanie-Sophie is still in 9-12 month clothing but she seems to have grown a tad. Hope you are OK.

HC - your girls are cuties

Wallace - I know that look on Leo's face! DS is not a climber, just an escapologist - spots the nearest exit and starts moving at speed. Amazing how they have no fear

Working in London today so had excuse of a 2 hr train journey to sit and read the paper and drink coffee this morning without any assistance. Even did the crossword (got to keep that preggo brain in gear...). Snoozed on the way back.

Wallace · 20/05/2008 22:32

flick - you sound so busy, if I was you I would be sooo stressed... hugs xxx

spin - Leo is a biter too. It bloody hurts, and the bruises are something else!

bloss - you are a goddess to us!

HC - love the gorgeous photos. Sophie looks so grown up

Annie - training two at the same time, you're brave!

mary - wow that is a small gap. I have a friend due in June who will have 13 months between her two. I will be asking you for tips!

Maewest - oooh 2 hour train journey all by yourself

kbaby - you're doing well

Jeanie - oh no poor Abbey xxx

think that is everybody who has posted recently

just in case anyone missed them, have a look at the new photos in my profile! Anyone else have new pics to share?

For all you guys struggling with toddler/preschool behaviour (it doesn't get any easier as they get older either [manic laugh emoticon]) have you read How to Talk so Kids will Listen and Listen so Kids will Talk it is fantastic

TheGoddessBlossom · 21/05/2008 09:14

Walace I must pick that book up agan. Will take it on my two hour train journey tomorrow, instead of my novel. How funny that things we/I used to moan about, like sitting on a train, we now consider the epitome of luxury.

recent one of me and the boys

HC your girls are gorgeous!

Toby came home from nursery with an old dried poo in his nappy and bleeding nappy rash. Had strong words with the nursery this morning. Poor little thing. They are really really good in most respects but it's not the first time he has come home with a dirty nappy and it's not on. Poor mite screamed when I put cream on it.

H is still being a trial, really not sure what is up - he asks me questions till he gets a "no" (ie, can I have breakfast here today, can we watch Ben 10, can I wear my pyjamas to nursery) and then throws a wobbly. Refuses to wear shorts, any type of sandal or summer shoe, insists on a cup with no lid, all of which I comply with, but he is definitely looking for a fight these days. Had to leave the bathroom to take deep breaths last night, as he was screaming and crying for ages for no reason that I could gather....

At work in a nice quiet office, off to get a coffee. And relax.

Bloss

AnnieAreYouOkAreYouOkAnnie · 21/05/2008 15:09

Beatiful pic of you Bloss with your boys. They both have your smile!
That's so bad of the nursery to leave Tobes in a dirty nappy.

Wallace I've put in a bid on eBay on that book! I've been meaning to get it for ages.
Training both may be brave, but honestly I think K is getting there much faster than Joey. The sticker chart shows 3-0 to her at the moment!
Love your photos too!

HC, those girls are so beautiful, and so well groomed! Kayley's lucky if she gets her hair brushed most days. Sophie looks so ladylike!

Mae, good to hear about those sleep-throughs. Long may they continue. I think it's still a far-off dream for me...

Well best go, gotta look busy...

bloss - handsome blondies! And how lovely are you!

annie - lol at Kayley getting there faster, i always wanted to beat my big brother at everything

ImpyChica · 21/05/2008 20:14

Hi peeps

Welcome MaryMungoMidge!!!

Sorry Harry's driving you to distraction, Bloss. Not looking forward to that stage! Agree about the "how to talk" book. Though I recommended it to a few of my mates and they picked up a religious version that must be cashing in on the similar title - my friend's were really surprised I'd recommended such a book as they know I'm a devout atheist! So will have to lend them the real version to make up for the error!
Lovely pic of you and the boyz.

Blimey HC - I thought Emma was lying when she said Soph was in the road!!! How scary. Hope you get it all fixed soon. The pix are GORG!!! Soph was a lickle baby last time you posted - she's a proper girl now!

Good luck with mid-wife Mae.

Great news about Roshi Spin!

I'm back full time Jeanie - went from part-time to three-quarter then full-time! So eased myself back in gently. It's not too bad. My commute is only 15 mins - so am quite lucky but I often feel bad leaving Ry in the nursery until 5.30 - he's so knackered by the time I get him home. Sorry about the money worries - not what you need at all poor thing.

Thanks for the Ry pic FB comment Annie! Your two are just as gorgeous.

Here are the latest pix of the Ryster since everyone is in posting mode

Love the Leo pix Wallace!!!

Everything great here - Ry still babbling away, not making a great amount of sense, but I guess learning two languages in one go must be tricky! He seems to be past the biting/scratching stage (touch wood) and gives the best big kisses!

Well hi to everyone else, big hug, Impy xxx
