Yay! I made it!!!!!
This could be the last message I send until I get my own net connection, so pay attention ladies! lol
Dx and I are on more solid ground now that I've got my own place, I'm settled and things with him are much more amicable. He's agreed that he needs to start taking the girls for regular weekends (probably every other weekend to start with and see how it goes from there). He's moving back into his parent's house this weekend coming, so is obviously feeling very low about that, but it means that he may finally be able to steady the debts that are racking up over his head since I left, (only earning £1K and his rent alone is £620!), I'm hoping that he'll finally chill out and start thinking about the bigger picture before jumping into things with both feet!
The girls and I are all good, the house is nearly complete (a tiny bit more carpet on the stairs and the bedroom ceilings to be painted once the council have sorted out the leaky roof, which it looks like they've started on today, and fixed the tiny bit of water damage inside the built in wardrobes), and that's it!! It's amazing how much one woman can get done, it took Dx ages to do a bit of painting for me lol
I'm just about getting my head around the financial side of living on my own, it's been well over 7 years since I lived on my own and even then I didn't have to worry about council tax, water rates or even electricity to a certain extent! It's all coming together nicely though, or am I now inviting my bad luck to jump me one last time?!
Lolly's doing really well, a few signs here and there (I'm not really that well educated but I know the basic ones which is better than nothing), she's still allergic to milk but I'm finding that's not too bad (well, it wasn't too bad until I realised that we didn't have a cooker and most microwave meals YUK! have got milk in!), she loves finger foods, things that she can feed herself, she thinks she's a big girl but still hasn't totally got to grips with the idea of how a spoon works!!
She's a biscuit baby if ever I saw one, which makes life easy, and both girls practically live on fruit bars! At least they're eating healthy foods!
I've done away with their afternoon naps and they're now both fed n bed by 6pm (unless they have a bath n then it's half 6) . . . it's bliss! I've not got much of a social life yet but I'm going to the masquerade ball again this year . . . it's on the 6th, less than 2 weeks away now! I'm going as little (or big, if you've seen a pic of me you'll know what I mean! lol) red riding goth! I've been wearing contact lenses for two weeks now so that on the night I can wear some gorgeously freaky red cat's eyes! (Was going to wear black ones but a friend of mine has, co-incidently, got a pair too and is wearing her's , so I've changed mine without telling her ).
I'm wearing a heart shaped black dress with lace cap sleeves, black lace train (short one so it doesn't get ruined), and a corset which is the exact opposite of the cape that I made! (The cape is black satin with red lace and the corset is red satin with black lace!) will definately post pics once I've got over the hangover that I shall, no doubt, endure!
Anyway, must be orf, making the most of the net whilst it's still in my hands!!
xXx
