No sign of teeth her either. but well done to baby fury!

HellHathNoFury · 06/03/2008 11:46

I think if you want to wear dungarees, wear them. Still makes me think of charlene from neighbours though.

I had no idea about kiwi - not that we ever get it.

My mum has no idea about the party. It has been a mammoth effort from all of us.

We organised a hall and a DJ and I was going to cater but then my Dad got upset and told my mum our plans (he's an arse) but luckily due to the fact he is incoherent at the best of times (we call him Ozzy) we managed to blag our way out and said we were taking her out to the pub for dinner.

Actually what we are now doing is hiring a wine bar, getting it catered and we have sorted balloons and a big cake and I went through her work sheets, I hacked into her email etc to get all of her friends details. My little sis is flying from the US tomorrow, DH is collecting her from heathrow tomorrow and is going to hide her until the party when she will be the one carrying the cake. Meanwhile I am distracting mum by taking her to lunch.
My brother is doing the music.
I scanned, edited and designed 60 photos of her through the years for the walls.

It's has been a big task, esp with mothers day, my sisters 40th, also my SIL and my brothers and my Dads birthdays are all this week as well.
I will be glad when it's over!

FairyFay · 06/03/2008 11:48

Blimey Fury, do you ever sleep?????

FairyFay · 06/03/2008 11:49

I'm sure she'll be absolutely chuffed to bits

HellHathNoFury · 06/03/2008 11:50

lol

I am pretty tired

But hopefully it will be worth it to see my mum happy.

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 11:52

bloody hell fury, I'm exhausted just reading that

It sounds like it'll be a fab do

HellHathNoFury · 06/03/2008 11:53

You guys are all so nice to me!
Really I don't do anything out of the ordinary, I just make more noise

Personally I think the ladies with more than one LO are awesome, I can hardly cope with one!!

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 06/03/2008 12:07

Cor blimey you lot! I go off to toddlers and you have gone crazy with the chat! I have just caught up and have now forgotton most of it!

Daisy, I bought you a little something yesterday (well your dd), I shall pop it in the post later. Don't get too excited though, it's not very interesting!!

Fury, you do more than me and I don't even work! You are super!

Dp is playing golf now and when he gets home we are all going swimming. I'm very excited, we haven't been since before ds was born. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he thinks of it all.

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 12:07

Sounds great Fury.

The grass we are getting is here....quite expensive but we shall see (and it helps we have a very small garden). We got samples and are getting the luxury type. Got someone doing it all for us though.

Daisy....hope you get to the bottom of it soon - but you should be careful restricting your diet.

Pretty sure my nightmares were from watching that fucking programme last night ....I feel OK about it today though..

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 06/03/2008 12:10

A friend of mine has that grass norty. She has had it for a few years and it still looks good. I wish we could get it, but we have quite a large lawn. I hate the mud real grass produces!

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 12:12

especially with a labrador

It is easily washed down and disinfected so will be safe for both the dog and DD....which was our main reason for getting it....along with no rows about whose going to cut and strim the bloody grass

HollyPutTheHabitOn · 06/03/2008 12:15

That's why my friend got it, she has a lab and was sick of the muddy footprints all over her cream carpet!

Unfortunately we have front and back lawns and they both desperately need cutting. I can't use our lawnmower though, it terrifies me! It is a big scary petrol one and I am shit scared of it! Dp will have to do it tomorrow, it really does look terrible!

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 12:19

we block paved our front garden when we moved in and we used to have constant arguments about cutting the back...I do low maintenance gardening....in my last house it was all paved with lots of pots...

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 12:20

swimming sounds good Holly - let me know how DS enjoys it....we're doing the same for the first time in a couple of weeks when we're off work

milkyJammy · 06/03/2008 12:22

Bet your Mum has a fab time Fury. She should

I didn't know about kiwi either. The jamlet has had that too. And tomatos.

She's a bit clingy at the moment. And wouldn't eat dinner with her bib on. The joys of parenthood!

SisterSputnik · 06/03/2008 12:59

The party sounds fab Fury

Daisy, sardines are an excellent source of calcium, also beans and tofu have it.

Re lawns, the artificial stuff sounds a great idea. I have a tiny patch of "grass" that has caused no end of problems, perhaps I should give it a try. My parents have an enormous lawn and they got a robot lawnmower, it is fantastic, and has been going quite a few years now with no problems.

Riallymusttryharder · 06/03/2008 13:17

my dad cuts my grass, and the rodents from hell shit on it

Your new look is better than my current one daisy. I have revolting FAT trousers )wish I'd hung on to my maternity ones, at least they were flattering on the legs and bum). Today Irefused to walk to nursery because I am wearing dark purple trousers, have had to revert to my bright purple crocs because after 1 day of trainers my limp is back, and I had to wear my red fleece becaue my nice muted navy one is in the wash because baggins threw his lunch at me the other day. It's bad enough being fat without looking ridiculous too. I think I am going to bite the bullet tomorrow and buy some jeans with my christmas voucher, so I have something unrepulsive to wear when I leave the house...

about your nightmares too norty, me too and it's horrible, not to mention completely knackering.

If I forget, have a lovely party fury. Sounds fab.

You have all been way too chatty today, I can't keep up.

Off to wash egg mayo off baggins so we can go to the library.

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 15:35

Bumper I know its been sorted, but there is a thread here where flowerybeanbag gives some bloody good advice about flexible working and appealing decisions.

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 15:54

DS got a prize in the costume competition today. Two from each class were chosen to go into the final, and then his classmate was the winner and he was a runner-up. He got a voucher to put towards a book and some bookmarks.

ooooh, competitive mum syndrome strikes; next year we're gonna win it!!!

LittleMissNorty · 06/03/2008 16:01

Oh that's fab Daisy....makes all your hard work worth while last night

Pumpkinhead · 06/03/2008 16:07

Hi again, I can't keep up with you lot. By the time I get a minute to catch up baby Pumpkin is up so I never get the chance to post!

Well first of all CONGRATULATIONS Daisy and wow! (Thats for the pregnancy not your LO's prize in the competition. But well done you for that too!) I'm a little bit jealous too, but not really sure I could cope with 2 yet anyway!

We all had a horrible bug which wiped me out for a few days and even stopped the little buddha from eating for 3 days so he must have been bad! Have also been feeding eggs as I didnt know not too, but not seen any bad reaction yet - phew.

Enjoy the party Fury - sounds like its been a bit of a headache to plan, but it will be worth it I hope.

2 RL friends have blown me out this week, so I've been billy no mates all week On the plus side baby Pumpkin has started to sleep better, so I can't complain too much.

Have some friends visiting this weekend with their 2 kids - one 3 year old and one 15 month old. It's going to be chaos in our little house! Its not baby proofed yet either! Anyway, nice to see you back Ria and hi to everyone else. x

andiem · 06/03/2008 16:08

afternoon all
I can barely keep up with you lot

daisy congrats on the costume to you and ds
have to say no to the dungarees as well though

fury party sounds good hope your mum enjoys it

norty I can't believe you are having artificial grass dh takes great pride in his lawn putting all sorts of stuff on it etc etc it's the only bit of gardening he does mind you

hi to everyone else can't seem to keep up at all these days rl just gets in the way tooo much

milkyJammy · 06/03/2008 16:09

Yay Daisy! You must be pleased (and proud).

The jamlet just spent the afternoon stealing socks off the boys at baby group and her and one little boy had a fine time poking, pulling and head butting each other No real harm done though and we all had a good laugh watching them (intervening as necesaary to keep fingers out of eyes)

lackaDAISYcal · 06/03/2008 16:09

hey pumpkinhead, nice to "see" you again. i was like that a few weeks ago as DD wanted my attention all the time. Now she is crawling she can pretty much keep herself occupied while I MN (although she does like to get herself wedged under the desk)

Pumpkinhead · 06/03/2008 16:18

Hi Daisy - thats what I'm working on. Maybe I need to bring the laptop up to the nursery as thats the only safe room in the house!
