Am going mental.

He had a bottle of MILK at lunchtime, not water.
And I apologise for all the spelling mistakes! (I think I need to go to sleep!)

Lizzzombie · 11/03/2008 19:12

UHOH
just had bathtime, and from bum downwards he is covered in red pin prick spots....could this be chicken pox

laughalot · 11/03/2008 19:14

Gosh im crap at posting latley. Well iv had a good read through the posts sorry to those having a shitter of a time at the moment eah, lizz, vino with work, lth with dh ect. My dh is away all this week at cheltenham races so a bit of peace and quiet for me however not that quiet the wind has really picked up here im a bit scared. I hate sleeping on my own. Well aidan has been scratch scratch scratching bless him he has had this horrid rash for about a week took him to docs yesterday and he said its either viral isnt it always or he is allergic to something my mum did point out last night that I had changed our milk to cravendale so im wondering if it may be that as he has to beakers of milk a day. Lauren is ok but seems to be getting loads of teeth all at once. Right off to see what else is going on laters .............

Wilkie · 11/03/2008 19:27

Lizz - have you done the glass test?? Red pin prick spots don't sound like chckenpox. ALthough LOs can come out in rashes when they have bugs too

Loosh - I am really really sorry - I skipped over the last paragraph of your post and didn't read about your DH being poorly. How is he? Did you get any news? Am assuming you are a nurse? And what happened last year that means DH won't leave you alone with DS?? ( really sorry to bombard with Q's esp if it is private but I feel like I am missing something). Big hugs

EAH - your GP sounds lovely but with out of hours for not checking ears FGS!

LTH - I know that you mean about this being our little priate MN. There are too many of the 'in-crowd' out there on the rest of MN for my liking!

Vino - bum about the MatB1 although your work shouldn't be too rigid about it. I think you midwife CAN put it in the post for you

Rggiee - bargainous. I am guessing you bougt one for each child on the thread and have sent out? Non?

Where is UD these days??

Not much to report here. One day left at work. Have seen two great NHS jobs, part time, in Huddersfield that I think I may apply for so I have a back up.

Can't remember if mentioned but am putting J into 3 days nursery - £37 per day (£440 every four weeks - FUUUUCCCCKKK!!) Can't find a decent CM and have no one to recommend one to me. Cried about it the other day!

ladytophamhatt · 11/03/2008 19:31

I went on my own EandH, and because it was quite a drastic cut it took ages.

The hairdresser did say about using the straigtners on teh back but that was because she had to cut it abit shorted....I can't get tehm around my hair there now.

Well I could but I'd burn my neck in the process if I did!

Amazingly, Dh just said "It looks really nice Em, doesn't it?"

I'b just been bathing the boys so it was a right state...I think he's after something

ladytophamhatt · 11/03/2008 19:37

Wilkie, I think its a much better idea putting J in a nursery. I think once you've settled in abit it'll be much easier to then find a good CM.
Tis bloody expensive but I think you've deffo made the descision (even of it was that thee was np other option)

laughalot · 11/03/2008 19:37

Wilks are you very very excited about the move ?

Wilkie · 11/03/2008 19:44

Yes, am excited but feeling a bit stressed and down about it today.

Just gone to apply for those two jobs and I dont meet the bloody criteria - pah! - NHS - don't know what they are missing

Wilkie · 11/03/2008 19:44

[EAH has just rung and ordered me off MN so that I can get on with some packing]

eandh · 11/03/2008 19:46

WILKIE get off here NOW and pack or you'll be stressing that its not done!

eandh · 11/03/2008 19:47

LAL - has the wind settled, I dont mind being on my own but do spend loads of time checking the locks etc

LTH - pmsl at the 'must be after something'comment

Lizz - poor Dylan, we seem to finally be on the mend

laughalot · 11/03/2008 20:03

No its windy

eandh · 11/03/2008 20:24

Just stay on MN till you fall asleep then you wont hear the wind

laughalot · 11/03/2008 20:26

. Just eating a twix

eandh · 11/03/2008 20:32

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yum I am going to bed to catch up on all my shitey nights sleep night

looshkin · 11/03/2008 20:33

Evening ladies - can't you tell dh is not around - house tidy, washing done, dinner cooked and eaten no mess anywhere so actually have time to go on MN how do they manage to make so much mess in such little time, mind you I think I'd swop the mess for him being here. . He actually looks alot better today and is due his CT scan and other tests tomorrow, I asked him to remind the doctor on call to prescribe him a big fat dose of sleeping tablets so he can get some shut eye, I think he would like a side room but as I reminded him the people with the nasty infections get a side room so better in the open ward near a sink. It made me quite cross today watching staff and visitors completely ignoring the hand gel which you should use before and after leaving the ward grrrr , eandh you just would not cope!! .

Wilkie - no worries mate I am prone to rambling when I get going, I am a doctor - I may have to run for cover now that I am 'out' we docs aren't all bad honest . Last year i had postnatal depression/pychosis and I was not safe to be left with ds but now 100% better but I know I cannot have anymore dc as it is most likely to happen again . Hope J settles into the nursery OK.

eandh poor H just keep up with the fluids as best you can and we hope to see you emerge from the giant pile of sicky clothes sometime this week .

LTH hair sounds fab one day I will pluck up the courage to straighten my hair but I thinkit will take some doing.

Laughalot - I know what you mean re wind I have just closed our curtains all over the house which is something we don't normally do but wind sounds tooo scary

Lizz - very common to gets spots with a virus do do the glass test but any concerns best to speak to your local doctor never hesitate to ring them or see them as we know how tricky children can be and how worried parents get.

Vino how was Eureka?

Where is UD or susie???

And while I remember any sign of galum on MN?

oops ds has woken up curses

loosh

laughalot · 11/03/2008 20:38

Oh loosh bless you hope dh is ok, and im happy to hear things are better with you. I dont want to ask you this as I know work is work but ds has a rash which doc says is viral and has given me some hydrocortisone cream for the itching but it seems to make it worse when I put it on it makes it go even more red any ideas ?

Wilkie · 11/03/2008 20:40

Laughalot - you'll scare her off again!!!!

laughalot · 11/03/2008 20:44

Im so naughty I know but im scared the cream is making it worse x

looshkin · 11/03/2008 21:03

No worries laughalot, it is hard for me to say without seeing it, hydrocortisone is very unlikely to do any harm it is common for some creams to irritate already 'upset'skin. If you are worried don't put anymore on tonight and see how you get on and maybe a quick review with dr in the morning - hope not too much of a cop out but is truely tricky to give out advice sometimes please forgive .

loosh.

looshkin · 11/03/2008 21:04

By the way thanks for the call 2H lovely to speak to you -any more thoguths on bf??

laughalot · 11/03/2008 21:10

Thanks loosh I shall see how we get on, bless him it is a horrid rash just worried as he has had it a week and a bit. Doc did have a good look at it.

laughalot · 11/03/2008 21:11

Wish you were my gp loosh

ladytophamhatt · 11/03/2008 21:39

LaL the dsses have had loads of post viral rashes.
I concider myslef quite and expert on them now, and IME I wouldn't put anything on it. Give him something to lessen the itch but I wouldn't put cream on it.
Pretty much every one I've seen on the boys kind of fades gradually down teh body, as if its sinking further down and out onth the floor off their feet/finger tips. Very weird.
G has a shocking one recently, I discovered it atthe doctors when he had ear infection, actually the GP saw it befor eme. he was very unphased by it.

Loosh, is hydrocortisone an excema cream? I'm sure DH had it prescribed for a wierdy excema patch on his nipple a few yrs ago.

right really need to log off. been on msn/mn all evening while dh is watching telly.....

Wilkie · 12/03/2008 07:46

LTH - bet your DH is thrilled for you to be sharing his weirdy nipple problems with us

It's SO windy and rainy here. Can't decide whether to descend on my mother for the day or not??
